PROS Friendly staff, clean rooms, good cleaners, happy chef with his T-Shirt stating "I AM NOT NORMAL" lol, great pool with jacuzzi, table tennis, near to shops and restaurants. good holiday overall. get your feet nibbled by fish for 5 Euros ! CONS 3 beds in 1 room is too tight for space, cleaners start at 7am and chat by their rooms at top of stairs so avoid rooms nearby, breakfast is poor (green yolk eggs, weird meat and hot dogs, spinach samosa)

We were not originally supposed to stay here - we’d paid to stay all inclusive at Gaia Village - but our travel agent had failed to book it and luckily the Tropical Sol accepted us despite no upfront payment. It was a blessing in disguise as the staff could not have done any more to make us feel welcome. Location for the beach and bars/restaurants is perfect. Having breakfast provided also meant a leisurely start to the day and it was nicer being able to choose different restaurants each evening too. Thank you Maria and the team for rescuing our holiday from disaster.

Took a last minute holiday to the Tropical Sol in June and was really happy with our choice even though we only booked it 3 days before travelling. The staff were helpful and friendly especially as we asked to be moved to a different room on arrival late at night. The reason for this was that there was a lot of "wildlife" in the corridor and coming into our ground floor room. This included cockroaches and baby frogs. Our new room was excellent. We ate at different local restaurants and most of them were excellent. The beach was an easy 5 minute walk down the road and there were hundreds of sunbed. The resort was pretty quiet in June which my husband and I prefer. We will go back there.

Stayed here for a week with husband and two children back from Uni. We had a double and a twin with garden views and breakfast. We arrived at 2am and were greeted by a lovely chap on reception. Very happy to help. Rooms were small but spotless. Very clean beds, bathroom, floors and balcony. Small fridge. TV, hairdryer. Free WIFI and air conditioning were a real bonus. Kettle in room would have been nice. WiFi particularly good in all rooms and all round the pool. Maids were lovely and everything changed regularly. We had read reviews about mosquitoes and bought plug in repellents for the rooms and had no problems at all. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Mostly continental. No mad rush for sun beds. Very chilled around the pool. Agree with comments about the umbrellas. They look lovely but are mesh so don’t get caught out thinking you are in full shade. Snack bar served lovely food. Recommend Terry’s Gyros sandwich. Maria, Terry and Steve all so friendly and helpful. Hotel was ideally placed with lots of restaurants, bars and shops on the same road. Supermarket opposite. Beach at the end of road 5 min walk away. Beautiful. Sunbeds €4 each with free WiFi and waiter service from the sun beds! Supermarket just at top of the beach which is cheaper if you use that. Probably not for really small children/ babies and not for youngsters wanting a mad lively holiday. Very laid back and relaxed atmosphere everywhere. We’d definitely stay there again. Overall couldn’t fault it. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely stay.

This hotel is not suitable for babies. The hotel rooms are very small and the addition of a cot basically means there is no room to store anything. We took a travel kettle and sterilising box and there was no surface areas to do anything. The parasols around the pool area are made of net meaning they do not provide any protection from the sun so we had to go to the beach every day. There are lots of lovely plants and gardens around the hotel but this comes at a price meaning the whole place was swarming with mosquitos. We had around 5 in our room daily. The bathroom was tiny and could only fit one person in at a time. There is no bath, we took an inflatable one luckily. It was very stressful living for a week in these conditions with a baby, it would be ok for couples. The location of the hotel is excellent, beach is close by and lots of bars and restaurants around with a very good supermarket opposite. The breakfast although continental was of good quality however we paid a lot of money to stay here and I would expect a cooked breakfast for the price we paid.
