After reading the positive reviews for Irene appartments, we were disappointed that our experience was unfortunately very different. The only positive we can take from our stay there was the lovely Gina (the maid) - Such a friendly lady who works extremely hard every day to make the rooms clean and tidy. She was very welcoming and we all loved her. Now for an honest account of the Irene Apartments! Room - Clean but VERY basic! Bathroom - typically Greek but the shower was good. Kitchen consisted of a fridge, kettle and hob. To hire a toaster it cost €2 per day! Air conditioning charged at €8 per day on top of €25 safety deposit box and tourist charge - so a large chunk of our spend gone within 5 mins of arriving! Poolside - Not allowed to consume own food/drink (not even own

My friend and I stayed here for a week from 23rd August and it was amazing! The place is very clean, the family Elias and his two sons Jack and Nick are lovely!!! Elias cleans the pool every night at 7 ... it’s the cleanest pool I’ve seen or been in for a long time. The area itself is very quiet but the main town is ten minutes away on a pedal bike or a local bus. The food is lovely on site and there are plenty of sunbeds to choose from. The rooms are basic but suit all needs. I’m going to be going back every year now.... the beach is down the road and again there are plenty of spots to grab for a day away. I absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to return! Thanks guys from Amanda ❤️

This is our first time staying here. We can not fault our holiday here at all. Elisa,Nick and Jack are so friendly and welcoming. Elisa (dad) works so hard from morning to night. Nick and Jack (sons) are the hosts of the apartments. Great sense of humour, great laughs.Gina(the cleaner)also works very hard to keep rooms clean, changing towels and bedding regularly through out our stay, such a Lovely lady . The rooms are very basic but immaculately clean and I'm sure if you needed anything in you room that's not available staff would be more than happy to help out. Food and drinks at snack bar are reasonably price. Standard of food great. Full English breakfast is a must try for €7 it sets you up for the day(amazing). It's not 5* but you've not paid 5* prices It's 3* Taxi into

First of all .. all the drop offs on the way not one hotel greeted there guests apart from us . Politely directed to our room . This was our first time to the apartments and we were made very welcome . The customer service was unreal and we were always greeted with a friendly smile from all of the family . The food at the snack bar is very reasonably priced and the drinks also . The rooms were constantly cleaned and towels were replaced several times over the 2 weeks we were there . Would I go back ? DEFINITELY.

I stayed here with my 4 children one of which has a walking disability. It isnt stated clearly enough when booking actually just how far the walk is to the shop. It is a good 20! Also i have a child under five, thankfully I opted to bring along a pushchair for him, thank God for that because the walk is not a easy one with the roads being so narrow with no pavements, my disabled daughter actually fell and injured herself where it's so uneven. so just a heads up if looking to stay in this particular area. The accomadation is definitely basic. I have never stayed in a self catering apartment before and not had basic utiltys to cook a meal so if looking to eat in your room then not good. The snack bar does good food but only serves at certain times a day which makes it difficult if

Firstly I am half way through a two week break with my wife and two children. Yes the apartments are basic but I would suggest that is reflected in the price. Also basic does not mean dirty. The whole of the staff do their utmost to keep everywhere pristine at all times. As for being a member of the club I think the staff are happy to talk to everyone but also respect the fact that you have come away to relax so are not in your face. Gina is fantastic. Well priced and stocked supermarket 10 minute walk down the road and a further 5 mins to the beach. The road is fine. Yes there are no pavements on this road but we have had no issues. The pool is great and lovely and clean also a great selection of infllatbles supplied by the apartments. Having had both my children in hospital on

I stayed here as a single mum with my two children one under 5 my friend and her children also stayed in separate room. Firstly this is not self catering my first day I bought bread butter jam Nutella to do breakfast for kids to only realise there is no toaster, I was told you can hire a toaster for 2 euros a day but only found this out by another guest on last few days of visit not offered this by staff. There is no microwave however there is a electric two ring hob which I’m not sure what people were cooking as I had no frying pan or even a can opener, I was happy not to cook or eat in room but if looking to then be prepared. I would recommend purchasing air con for 7 euros per night for ease of sleep. I stayed for two weeks and only had towels and sheets changed once however

We visited as a family. I feel that people should know a REAL Experience. This is a self catering holiday but it is run like a military operation by Nicos and his ‘ways’. He has a severe case of OCD - no drinks, not even water by the pool if you haven’t paid his over priced ‘snack bar’ prices. Our 4 year old only drinks blackcirrent cordial which is not sold at the pool, so everytime he wanted a drink I was to take him upstairs to the room to get one, even though we were buying drinks at the bar. I feel the drinks are extremely over priced and this is because you HAVE to buy them. It felt like we were at school under the reign of his rules and regimes. And god help the children if they stepped out of line, he would publicly humiliate them(and you). If you happened to mention

If you're looking for a five start room then the Irene Appartments are not for you. If you're looking for a family run, small, safe and clean appartment then Irene ticks all the boxes. The rooms may be a little "dated" however they still provide you with everything that you need. This family run appartment has a fantastic feel, nothing is too much trouble and the family truly go out of their way to make your stay a good one. The food is delicious and well priced and all the facilities are clean and safe. A great holiday. Kos is a good 15 minutes away with a small supermarket just down the road. You can hire a bike for three euros a day which I think is a must. Would definitely re visit.
