Fans of the Cyclades for many years we arrived in Naxos for just two nights and decided to stay two nights in this hotel. We are traveling with a 7 year old child and a little baby of 8 months. The surprise of finding a cozy, smiling and relaxing place. Nikos and his family (and the whole team) are special people, they give precious hospitality and a warm welcome. The place is a small serene oasis, near beautiful beaches and a part of Naxos more natural and wild, we loved it. The restaurant offers a varied menu, fresh fish and a memorable breakfast. Our family room very nice with a secluded and cozy terrace. To be recommended to every traveler looking for a sincere and beautiful part of Naxos in its natural surroundings

A family run comprehensive place, with everything you need to enjoy your holidays.
Gréât rooms, full of environment and convenient friendly attention (6 pack of water, natural care products..)
Incredible restaurant, with only fresh, local tasty products.
Very quiet location were you reach 3 Beautiful beaches within 2 to 10 min.

We would definitely recommend to spend some time there.
Thanks to all the staff, Vicky, Niko, Paris…

Surprisingly well kept! Everything is really freshly painted and refurbished. We were astonished when they told us the hotel was almost 30 years old. The staff consists of family and a few employees, keeping everything very relaxed.
The quality of the breakfast was very good with selections of different food. Fruit, yogurt, omelettes, freshly pressed orange juice and a variation of bread. the hotel restaurant is open from lunch until late night and serves good food. If you want a quiet place with nice staff, this is it!

We really recommend this hotel! /Anneli & Herbert (sweden)

We have just returned from Naxos, we spent 8 nights on Naxos, 3 of them in the south view suite at Faros.
The highlight of our time spent at Faros was the family taverna. If your a foodie then the taverna is definitely worth a visit, the family recipe for meatballs it’s just the best we have ever tasted and the portion sizes were huge!
My overall impression of Faros in terms of holiday rental is just that it’s a good standard of Greek accommodation that due to the reviews has become sadly overpriced. The rooms themselves are clean and modern, the shower was lovely and always plenty of hot water and clean fluffy towels. The room suite pictures are not upto date and the 2 single beds pictured on the website have been replaced with 2 mattresses in an L shape formation in a lounge area. One mattress is quite narrow I think it measures around 70cm in width and the other one 80cm in width so they are not full size single beds. The reason I mention this is that I changed my booking 4 weeks before we went (from the panoramic room due to the sofa bed being not a full size) and it was not mentioned to me that the beds in the south suite were also not a full size. Overall we didn’t sleep well at Faros due to the mattress being quite hard in the main bedroom and the fact the villa echoes you can hear other people in their rooms walking about.
If your after a hotel with a large pool then Faros has one of the largest on the island, we had the pool to ourselves for most of the time we were there which we found strange but I think the majority of people staying went to one of the many beaches on the island.
Due to the fact I changed our booking (which was within the booking terms) I managed to get the south suite for €200 a night (the same price I had originally booked the panoramic room for) as due to the corona virus the hotel had reduced the prices to fill the rooms. Upon doing this I was told that the transfers to the hotel were no longer free and I was charged €50 for transfers. Had I of not paid a deposit of €420 probably would of cancelled our stay altogether as I found this reaction to a booking change to be rather petty.
Overall our stay was ok but for €200 a night (and that’s a reduced price) there are better places to stay. But I definitely recommend the family restaurant, the the chocolate pie is the best desert we had on the island!

We stay in this resort for 3 nights (4-7 Sept) and it was amazing! The villa was newly renovated, quiet location, secluded and surrounded by beautiful beaches. Nikos and Wife were very helpful during our stay. Stefanos who is responsible for restaurant operation is very thoughtful. Grandmother's meatballs was super tasty, Octopus cook in wine souce needs a lot of improvement, Cod Fried was good, Spaghetti with basil sauce was also good. Not to mentioned the breakfast was AMAZING!!

However, there are some things could be improved : 1. Wifi connection was unstable and slow 2. Food on the restaurant menu can be reviewed and adjusted for improvement.

Overall stay experience was incredible, definitely will come back :)

Thank you Nikos & Wife, Stefanos, and the rest employee who we can't mentioned.

The Moustakis family members and each and every staff member made us feel so welcome yet again, and did everything they could to make our holiday a special experience. The villa is beautifully kept and it is clear there is so much love in making sure everything is perfect for their guests.
I visited again for the 7th time, with my family this time, and the attention the staff gave us was still as special as when I first visited. Thank you Faros Villa for the special experience and for making us feel special, and for sharing the beautiful Villa with us. The rooms have attention to detail and the views are amazing. The pool bar is relaxing and fun, suiting all individual needs and the pool is stunning! The restaurant is so welcoming and traditional food that is still mama’s creations. These are things that stay with us when we enter back into our busy world back home and that will make sure we return again soon.

We spent only 2 nights in Villa Faros last August, but what a memorable stay.
Niko picked us from the airport which was really helpful.
Vicky checked us in to our very spacious room, which had a great balcony as well.
The breakfast had a variety and was delicious, they were providing us on demand from a menu everything we picked.
The beach in front of the hotel at a walking distance is great, and overall this place resides on the more quiet piece of the island.
Towards the end of the stay Vicky also assisted us with renting a car to explore the Island.
The girls enjoyed this place so much, especially the swimming pool and it was really hard for them to leave (we left so soon due to availability)
Only downside might have been the price which was a little expensive comparing the rest of the Island.

Overall we recommend this place very much and would definitely come back in the future!

We spent a week here as a couple with the aim of unwinding and simply relaxing. This small hotel is a wonderful place for that. Everything is just right here:
First the hosts - Although we came at the end of September and they had a long season behind them since April without a break, Niko, Vicky and all their staff were warm, friendly and always there for us. There is a very personal atmosphere here and you feel welcomed like a good friend.
House and restaurant - The villa is very lovingly decorated and surrounded by a beautiful garden and a large pool with bar. Everything is clean and the food in the restaurant is super delicious, whether for breakfast or dinner. We ate something different every day and enjoyed the freshly prepared food.
The surroundings - There are several beaches just a few minutes' walk away, crystal clear water and the weather usually cooperates too.
We did not want or need more.

We had 8 days in this hotel, staying in two different rooms since our preferred one was not available for the whole stay.
The hotel is a small, family run place, with fantastic, warm service - Niko and Vicky helped us with all our questions and solved all our small problems (like when we realized we made a mistake in the rental car booking!).
The rooms are tastefully decorated, the pool gorgeous, and everything is spotlessly clean.
The restaurant is also a plus - very nice food and a lovely view towards the sea; very good selection for breakfast too.
I'd strongly recommend this hotel to anybody!

I’m hoping some of you can clue me in! Are the beaches in and surrounding Alyko all rough on a windy Naxian day? Has anyone found a calmer / protected swimming spot near the Faros hotel on a super windy day? ? If so, **where is it in relation to the hotel?** —We will be at this hotel for 5 days. We know this place is the absolute best, hands down, however, I much prefer ocean swimming and am aware of the wild wind on Naxos, therefore, as an alternative, we also found a great Cycladian house to rent **in a very quiet spot near Agia Anna** (3 beautiful beaches within walking distance), and some small calm private coves, too. We are torn between the 2 locations, mainly over the beach swimming issue. Also we are traveling in early June, before the real ‘season’ so are hoping to avoid some of the summer crowds should we elect to stay closer to Agia Anna. To clarify, we are first spending 4 nights in the Chora while exploring the town and taking multiple day trips to see the rest of the island. Our time at Faros or Agia Anna is intended to be uninterrupted beach time with local walking, etc, so a car rental is not necessary or even wanted for these locations ——this relaxing time is at the end of our 3 weeks in Greece——We want to stay near beaches we can walk to. My main concern is the accessibility and general condition of the beaches for ocean swimming. Related question: how does one access Hawaii beach? Is there a decent path down to it? — or does it require some scrambling? Where is the best ‘entrance’ to this beach? Thank you all for your feedback. 🌻

The south facing beaches, which are to your left as you face Alyko beach are your best bet. They are about a 20 minute walk to the south then east. The winds come from the north, in general, so the island protects the south facing beaches.

There are several beaches nearby. Not crowded, considering how nice they are. We loved the hotel and it’s location. The walking distances are fairly short. I am 70 as well and had no trouble. The walk to the first beach is short (across the road from the hotel and then approximately 200 metres to this beach). There are several paths through the reserve to other beaches close by. Or walk along the shore. We were able to walk along the beach and around the point. There is a bit of up and down, but relatively easy. FYI, several of the beaches appear to be clothing optional.

How often do the buses run from the hotel to Naxos town during September please.

Hello! Hopefully you will get a specific response from the friendly hosts at Faros Villa shortly. In the meanwhile, I can tell you that when we were there in June last year, buses ran about once every 1.5 to 2 hours. We did rent a car for 3 of our 5 day stay. I was reluctant but it was recommended as the best way to get around the island which proved to be true. Please see my response to yo_bman about renting car. Enjoy your visit, we had a really lovely stay!
