We spent five days at the Naxos Resort Hotel in June. It is located in the town of St.George, a 15 min walk from the main town. The grounds of the hotel are lovely, wonderfully maintained, beautiful pool, and minutes from a great beach with place to eat. The staff is so accommodating; the hotel serves an excellent breakfast buffet with many traditional choices as well as local Greek food. In spite of this wonderful location and setting, the beds were as hard as rock!

Lovely hotel in a stunning location. Everything about the hotel was first class especially the staff. Good buffet breakfast. Very close to the beach and plenty of bars and restaurants around. Walkable from the port. Recommend and would stay here again

Giving it three stars based on proximity to beach, Naxos town, pool and decent breakfast. Other than that, it is an overpriced hotel, with great potential. Basically there is no Wi-Fi it works so poorly, pool hours are ridiculous as others have stated and we had the most uncomfortable bed in our two week trip around Greece. They have one cleanser in the shower that is supposed to function as hair & body …. What 4 star hotel does that??? Definitely nowhere close to 4 star. Would definitely find an alternative if we were to visit again as I think for the price we could find better.

Very nice clean hotel with an excellent pool area and 3 minute walk to a lovely beach. Close to town to walk to which was nice to visit. We loved Naxos after being on Mykonos before. Rooms were fine, garden view for us. Breakfast was great. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff, nice complex which is spacious with car parking facilities and the room we had was a decent size. Breakfast was very good too. The downside was the rock hard bed, useless wifi and ridiculous pool rules. The bed was two singles joined together but sheeted as singles, strange but good if you like to keep your distance from your partner while in bed. On two days, the fresh sheets were left on the bed for us to make. We just guessed they were in a hurry. No we didn’t tell mgt. The pool can’t be used before 11am. You can, but you need to fill out a waiver that you do so at your own responsibility. Would be intelligent and decent of mgt if they make this known to the guests as we were dressed down by some guests waiting for the 11am start. They were obviously upset we were enjoying the pool in the early morning heat and they were sitting around sweating. Absolutely ridiculous situation to be in as a paying guest having to justify the pool use to the nosy guests (ignorant minority). They have a “lifesaver” in attendance during the pool hours with one being (they alternate staff) being more like the fun police so don’t get too splashy or noisy with your friends. The rules also state you cannot leave your towels or belongings on the lounge chair unattended for more than 30min otherwise they will remove them making the lounge chairs available for other guests. Good rule but never acted on so the lounge chairs are all taken but many sit empty for hours until those guests return from wherever, and then decide to use them. I won’t ramble on about the wifi…it’s just useless. I told the lovely lady at reception and she said she’d look into it. I guess she still is. Go to any restaurants near the port and use the free Port wifi, just brilliant. With so many options these days we won’t be going back.

Everything was great during our stay. Breakfast had so much to offer and everything was delicious! Pool was warm and plenty of available comfortable chairs. Lifeguard on duty if you have children. Bar at the pool with friendly bartender and great staff. Gym was old but they do have one! Very centrally located and also has access to the beach which is beautiful. Like the other reviews we found the bed very uncomfortable and no Wi-Fi. But…we enjoyed our stay!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as part of our holiday island hopping. The hotel is on the very edge of Naxos town. That said, its only a 5 / 10 minute walk into town and the harbour (Naxos isn't big). There are lots of restaurants and bars in the town and its really lovely and lively. The main hotel areas (reception, lounge, poolside and pool bar) are all really beautifully decorated and maintained. There was never a shortage of sunloungers or clean towels by the pool and we also made use of the hotel area on the beach where they have loungers and umbrellas (for a fee). As others have mentioned, the rooms do need updating and let the hotel down a little. The decor is tired and the bathrooms are very dark and quite pokey. The french doors onto our balcony were warped, so it was a battle to close them once opened, and the shutters fell off their hinges when we tried to close them - so I didn't bother - although this meant that we were woken up in sunlight. Of all the hotels we've stayed in around the islands, this had the poorest quality rooms. Its a shame as its a fantastic location and the staff are really kind and helpful. Just needs a bit of love!

Could not agree more with the review before. The rules at this hotel are insane. Cannot get in the pool before 11am, so effectively cannot use the services you are paying for. Pool bar not open until 11:30, and the recently opened area of the beach is charging guests €30 euros for the use of hotel opened sunbeds. Absolutely zero attention to detail, the staff are carrying out jobs like jet washing the pool in front of the guests, at breakfast time. Management do not care and aren’t bothered about guests experience or comfort. There is an extremely surly lifeguard and member of pool bar staff constantly lurking around. Breakfast is mediocre at best. Rooms are absolutely run down, tired, in desperate need of restoration, even by Greek standard. DO NOT stay at this hotel.

We are currently staying here leaving tomorrow after being here for 9 nights, and coming from 4 nights in Koufonisia. Always good to start with some positives. Positives - Good shower pressure, small shower cabin - Friendly reception staff although they couldn’t answer basic questions. - Proximity to central Naxas town and beach. Close enough but far enough, not noisy. - Cleaning of room was- really good, and our daily cleaning lady was very pleasant and accomodating. - Nice size pool, brand new sunbeds when we were here, although too few. - Staff manning the sunbeds by the sea were nice, friendly and helpful. - Excellent sandy beach close to the hotel in my mind it was better than Agios Prokopios that everyone raves about, this one had alot more waves which the kids loved. Negatives - Rules, rules and more rules. This hotel sells itself as a family hotel, however the pool doesn’t open until 11am and closes at 7.30pm. No jumping, no diving, no balls or pool toys allowed. People reserving sunbeds and the ½ hour rule was not enforced. The kids started playing with a ball away from people but in the pool area, and were told to stop. This in my mind is not a family hotel. In the words of my husband, this is like a retirement holiday village. - Beds as others have said were extremely hard. Family room that we paid 270EURO a night for, was too small for the cost, we are used to separated areas for the kids in other hotels. Also rooms were very dated. - Breakfast was mediocre, nice touch with the Nespresso Machine, although for a 4 star hotel I would of expected fresh orange juice or at the least a commercial orange juice instead of cordial. - The hotel charges 15 EURO for a set of sunbeds and umbrella for the day by the beach, which is ½ the normal price. For the price we are paying for this hotel, and also for the kids not to be able to play in or by the pool the sunbeds for guests by the beach should be free. - Every time, I went into reception it smelled of smoke, one of the staff is definitely smoking inside, not a good representation of the hotel. - Super old gym, old equipment, broken, not looked after. This was definitely not a 4 star, more like a 3 star, and you cannot advertise yourself as a resort without resort facilities. We loved Naxos as an island, fantastic food in many restaurants, although 9 nights was too long, if I was to do my time again, I would have done 4 nights Koufonisia, 4/5 nights Naxos, 4 nights Paros or Antiparos instead. We will definitely be back to Naxos but not to this hotel.

Nice pool, one block away from the beach. An easy 10-minute walk to the downtown area. Breakfast was good if unremarkable. Gnats and mosquitos on the property at night (the latter problematic since the lobby, bar, and cafe are all in the open air). The WiFi was terrible and essentially never worked. Technical note: my (non-expert diagnosis: too many 802.11n access points for this and neighboring hotels sharing the same few channels and interfering with each other. The only place 802.11ac was found and internet access was usable was in the lobby.
