Bohemian meets luxury at these 10 gorgeous suites that are just barely 30 feet – or 10 meters – from the beach. While Plaka Beach may be one of the more happening beaches on the island, Naxian on the Beach has taken over a quiet, exclusive spot with its own sunbeds so you can enjoy the very best of the island.

First of all, the staff are amazing. Everybody is just so nice and kind and would do anything to improve your holiday. I can’t thank them enough. From Kostas - remembering our coffees - to the ‘dream team’ cocktail duo and all the waiters. Every single person made our holiday special. The receptionist was very kind and really did her best for us. The bar is super nice if you want a bit of movida. Perfect cocktails. The food was great, the level of the cuisine - although not traditional greek - was far higher of all the other restaurant in Plaka. Breakfast is also delicious. So the people working there made it - but - let not forget all the things that were actually not so great... It is definitely too expensive for what it offer. I don’t know how many star it has, but I wouldn’t think more then 3. I felt I got a little ripped off. The rooms are nice but they are designed with no thinking. There is no storage whatsoever for your luggage content. And this is a very uncomfortable thing, when you pay so much, to have to keep everything just in your luggage. Even for the bathroom area there is no place for the toothbrush. The hot tub is tiny, cold, i bet no guests that actually used it. You can’t get in! So they shouldn’t really advertise they have one - it is a bit cheeky. It definitely cannot be called luxury - because it is not luxurious nor in what it gives, nor in the details. You can call it boutique though. We also were unlucky, they gave us room number 1 so at GF and our terrace was facing the bar, not the sea, and had zero privacy. The public bathroom just under our bedroom as was the kitchen. We asked to be changed, but it was apparently fully booked (on line you could book though I noticed for the same night i asked...). I don’t really think you can charge as much as they do for this kind of bedroom / hotel. No facilities also. Yes the beach but it gets packed with people that are not in the hotel, very loud, and it became not so nice. Again you think to pay a premium to enjoy privacy and luxury but it is not the case. The sun beds don’t do any proper shading .

The biggest problem I had was the mis-representation of this Hotel. The impression from the website is that this is a luxury 4 star boutique hotel and it is not. Rooms are sparse with very little thought to storage. Our sink was literally just that and there was nowhere to put a toothbrush or any toiletries. The outside jacuzzi - well, dont waste your money if you pay extra for that. Ours faced the bar so everyone could see you. Their website says they are 10 metres from the beach which is just not true - it is approximately 150 metres across a dusty road. Had all of the above been known to me, then it is a perfectly adequate 2-3 star hotel in a location close to the beach but overall I was really disappointed as my expectations were not met.

If you are looking for a place to enjoy the beach life and experience what true hospitality feels like then look no further. They have the BEST cabanas on the beach and staff that will bring food/drink right to your lap. The staff are incredible and work extremely hard. 10 out of 10.

Really nice little hotel with a great bar where you can breakfast and relax with cocktails and there are lovely staff. Vos and Kostas are great. Vos gave us a great list of stuff to do on the island - I want to employ her! She's so efficient and anything you asked of her she sorted immediately. Brilliant service. The rooms are nice and paired back, which is the style of the hotel. I would just say that, while the rooms are designed in a really chic way, they need more storage! There are too few surfaces to put your belongings on and not enough space to store your clothes! Just a minor thing, but it would have made it a slightly more comfortable stay.

We stayed at Naxian on the Beach during our vacation for 4 days and did not want to leave. Not only does the staff, Vaso, Kostas, Nick, and Enri (we called him Eric) were more like new found friends than staff, the atmosphere and the way they made you feel so comfortable and relaxed was incredible. Our favorite pastime was sitting in the bar watching Nick and Enri mix drinks that you didn't even know you wanted because just watching these perfectionist at their best was equally as entertaining as their conversations. Kostas was the most professional jack of all trades with every whim you had he addressed. And, last but not least, Vaso who oversaw the whole operation top notch. Together these individuals make you feel you are staying at one of the best hotels around except that you feel very important and not overlooked. I will always have this fond, wonderful memory of our stay at the Naxian on the Beach and would highly recommend.
