After 4 years in Porto Klaras hotel , Makis and his son Giannis continue to offer us great hospitality. Especially in current Covid period they keep excellent protocols from check in through checkout.(point out the shared shower provided after check out). All personnel wear masks and gloves , there is disinfection gel everywhere, the rooms are very clean and the surrounding area as well. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms and full kitchen facilities. The design of the rooms and outside area with spectacular view , make this hotel the best option in Kythnos Island. We keep coming back , thanks a lot Makis and Giannis

From the moment you arrive on Kythnos you know you are somewhere special and Porto Kara does everything it can to show off the amazing views, hospitality and traditional Greek comfort that the island has to offer.
Yannis and his family have done an amazing job at proving luxury accommodation whilst maintaining a traditional Greek feel. The hotel is exceptionally clean and looks brand new. I stayed with 3 friends and we treated ourselves to the 3 vip suites on the top floor. It was well worth it, having the whole top floor to ourselves with stunning views of Loutra port. You have a few very nice restaurants And bars 2 minutes walk from the hotel and Chora only a 10 minute drive, a 7 euro taxi ride away, which has more bars and restaurants.
I loved it here and my only negative is that we could not stay longer.

Our stay in Porto Klaras was just excellent. The hotel is amazingly clean and modern! They change towels and clean the room every day, the view from the rooms is mesmerising (room 19 ;) ), the owner is very kind with lots of tips around the island. And they also gave us a gift at the end of our stay. The Greek hospitality in its fullest. Thank you so much Porto Klaras team!

As expectations were already high from my previous great experience, I wondered if things could get any better. The answer is yes. The service is impeccable, the owners know how to make you feel like home while on vacation, and the beautiful rooms make it a value for money accommodation in Kythnos.

Me and my friends visited Kithnos Island for holidays this year. Unfortunately the were 4 of us but the room we had book ed was really small. Thank God Yiannis from Porto Klara's rooms provide us with a beautiful 4 person room. The room was more than we could even ask in a last minute call! Big, modern with a cute balcony with wonderful view of the port of Loutra. The location is close to the Chora of Kithnos but also has a variety of places to eat and drink by the sea! Yiannis was really helpful in everything we needed. We will definitely visit them again.

We spent a few nights here at the beginning of October. We had a suite which was SO comfortable and spacious (particularly after spending a week on a yacht!). The bedroom and balcony had a wonderful view of the harbour and across the bay, with a couple of comfortable day beds on the balcony. The suite was very well appointed, with bathrobes, nice toiletries and bathrobes. Plenty of hooks, sockets and USB points. The suites are a very short uphill walk from a great bakery and several waterfront restaurants. There was a lovely beach a short walk over the hill as well as the town beach. We were so relaxed we didn’t venture to see much of the island: the bus appeared to have stopped for the season a couple of weeks previously, and the day we went to the Chora it was mainly closed up. Yiannis and his family were helpful with advice and kindly allowed us both an early check-in and a late check-out - much appreciated. Wish I was there now!

Overlooking beautiful Loutra, Porto Klaras is the perfect place for an idyllic getaway to Kythnos. The rooms are big, bright, beautifully decorated, and incredibly clean. The balconies and terraces offer delightful, private outdoor space to enjoy a coffee and watch the town below. There are plenty of great places to eat and drink nearby, plus excellent beaches and walking, and transport links to the rest of the island.
Yiannis and his Father were incredibly helpful and welcoming, facilitating our last-minute booking and late ferry arrival, organising a private taxi from Merihas, and staying to welcome us and ensure we were settled. Yiannis provided great local insight for the best places to visit, helped organise a scooter rental to explore the island (recommended!) and remained on hand 24/7 to respond to any of our special requests.
The VIP rooms are definitely recommend for an extra level of luxury and comfort - the added terrace space (both sun and shade) alone was a highlight for us, with incredible views (and privacy) during the day, and a space to quietly relax with a drink and watch the stars at night! Just note, you will have to walk up a few extra stairs to get to the very top!!
Overall, we had an incredible stay at Porto Klaras, with its tasteful modern decor, excellent location, and charming hospitality, it remains a real, unrivalled treat in Kythnos, and the Cyclades - we will definitely visit again!

We spent six nights in Porto Klaras, in the VIP studio. The studio had a double bed, kitchenette, en suite bathroom, outdoor covered dining/seating area and sun lounging area.
The studio and whole facility were exceptionally clean and well maintained. The daily room cleaning service was excellent.
Overall we were delighted with our stay, Yannis, his father and all the staff were very friendly and generous. Thoroughly recommend Porto Klaras as a place to holiday.
Loutra is also a lovely village. Some of the highlights were the bakery at the base of the road up to Porto Klaras. Great service and great food. The ‘ Sofrano Yacht’ restaurant was good, a bit expensive but good food. Another good restaurant was the Katerina.
We rented a scooter with Yannis’s assistance and it was a really good way to visit the various small towns and beaches around the Island. There is very little traffic on the road, so casually riding along on the scooter between destinations was very nice.

Thank you Gianni Klaras and all for the warm welcome and hospitality. Porto Klaras offers spaceous, spotless and well designed rooms. Well located in Loutra village, offers rooms with sea view and walking distance to food, drinks, beach and the hot water source of Loutra. Looking forward to the next visit.

The location of the suites is perfect, in the heart of the picturesque Loutra town. It is a very strategic location as a starting point to explore the rest of this beautiful island. The rooms are state of the art, and the balcony offers a great view of the entire Loutra seafront. However, the most touching element of our stay at Porto Klaras was the hospitality offered by the owners, which made our stay more like living at a close relative’s summer house than staying at a hotel.
