We arranged to meet up with my sister here as a mid way point between locations for a family get-together and we were not disappointed. From the minute we arrived (late at night) the service was spot-on. A late night meal and the bar remaining open to welcome us was a great start. Rooms lovely with great air conditioning and adequate balconies. Food was delicious with a great choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner and there is the added bonus of afternoon tea - a delight of cakes, tea, coffee and ice cream. The staff worked hard but clearly loved their jobs. A special shout out to Michaelis, Maria and Nikolaeis (apologies for any wrong spellings). There was one waiter in the main restaurant who seemed to work every shift and was so lovely and although we didnt get his name, the service he delivered again spot on. All inclusive met most of our needs but the addition of local spirits would have made it top notch - we survived though with the selection of house wines and beer! The precautions under Covid too (or semi-post Covid) cant be faulted. Everything was immaculately clean with sanitisers and gloves at all eating stations and at reception and the mandatory wearing of masks as we moved around the hotel grounds. The staff were fab too helping us organise our Covid tests before we returned home and printing off our documentation for the airport. Overall, an amazing holiday with amazing staff and we will be back as a family, looking forward already to seeing the May Beach family again too.

We arrived late Saturday July 10th ,we were greeted with a warm welcome and they had set aside some food for us ,we had a long journey and were so pleased , a lovely Greek salad and some beef stew along with a nice glass of rose wine .Our room was lovely and clean ,staff were so pleasant could not to enough to make our stay pleasant . We were all inclusive our only complaint as no vodka or gin on menu , wine was nice but spirits limited. They also had a lovely garden where all the fresh produce for dinner was picked fresh on the day .The gardener had great pleasure showing me around and gave me two lovely fresh cucumbers. One staff member actually thanked us for helping to save their economy .On leaving owner Nicholas gave us a pot of home made honey .I would certainly go back and that says it all .Thank you May Beach.

We picked this hotel based on other reviews and to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary Holiday. On arrival we had a small booking problem to start but this was rectified quickly. The rooms are a generous size, air conditioned with a TV/balcony and bathroom with a walk in shower. The bathroom was a little tight for space and lacked any shelves but is not an issue. Everything is finished to a very high standard and is spotlessly clean. I can't emphasise that enough - spotlessly clean. The food is very good with plenty of choice. We are vegetarian and did not struggle at all. This is Greece and the salads are fabulous but there were many other options too. - We loved the food. Plenty to choose from for all tastes. The staff could not be more helpful and when I let them know it was our 40th anniversary they laid a surprise table for us with floral decorations and a happy anniversary cake and champagne. George, one of the waiters sang to us in Greek which was a really nice touch and brought a tear to us both. The pool and gardens are fabulous but if you prefer to go the beach there is a private path about 150 metres approx. down to the sand and sea. It is also a quiet part of the beach - this beach is really, really long so plenty of space to bask, unlike other hotels closer to Rethymnon. Car parking is free.

This hotel is a hidden gem. As we sit here on our last day overlooking the beautiful gardens with palm trees and the huge pool, it is so relaxing and peaceful, we do not want to leave! The food is excellent and there is all-inclusive, but we prefer bed and breakfast and go out each evening to the local tavernas. The beach is an easy 150m where there are loungers and a taverna. Sincere thanks to Nikos, Maria and all for making our stay so memorable. We are returning next year!!
