Wonderful hotel! Lovely location close to the sea! Genuine and chic at the same time. The food is just marvelous. The service, the food, the staff, the bungalows…it is always a pleasure to visit Creta Palace! . We will for sure return!
Being retired we holiday quite often and always read the reviews in some detail and with some scepticism. I have to say, the reviews for this hotel are extremely accurate and fair. We stayed 9th – 19th June, the weather was fabulous but perhaps a tad too hot for us. The hotel is one of the most relaxing hotels we have ever visited. The staff are top notch, the standard of food is very high and the ambience of the outside dining areas extremely pleasant. Although not a fan of buffet meals, the food was of a high standard although some meals were rather a miss match of choices. One night a Chinese theme was offered, and I have to say it was one of the best Chinese meals I have experienced. The pool is superb although we used the beach area most of the time. The beach is good although beach shoes are recommended if venturing into the sea as it is very pebbly. The room was basic but adequate and always kept exceptionally clean. The only gripe we had was that the room was stated as having coffee or tea facilities, we had to ask for these to be provided and they were never replenished without requesting them daily. The old town isn’t the best, very touristy but still worth a visit. We had a lovely holiday and have no reservations in recommending the hotel, it has a very pleasant and tranquil ambience. …
Family holiday for 10 nights for two adults and our 4 year old son. The hotel facilities, cleanliness and staff were faultless as was the choice and quality of food on offer. The initial room we were assigned was not great, however, we were swapped to a great alternative room in a matter of a few hours and the accommodation manager was a pleasure to deal with. The beach was the highlight of our stay with the front line gazebos highly recommended for a small additional charge. We also had a massage and used the spa and kids clubs which were all great and again staff fantastic. We are already looking at booking for next year see you soon
Grecotel Creta Palace was a lovely hotel and resort for our 1 week trip. The staff were very attentive and supportive as well as the Hotel manager Mr Pagniotis (sp?) who kindly resolved a couple of small issues for us and provided us with a nice upgrade. He checked in us several times during the holiday to ensure we were having a great time. The beach was lovely. The beach bar staff led by Giannis and Gerorgios were great. Also the outside gym supervisor Nikios was very friendly and helpful. The steak and sushi restaurant was lovely also, both good and staff. My 3 yo son absolutely loved his holiday and the water slides, for his age were a big hit as well as the family entertainment. Many thanks and we would definitely recommend the hotel. We also enjoyed visiting the the local town too, some very nice restaurants.…
Setting: 2 adults, 3 kids 9/8/4, deluxe family bungalow garden view, all inclusive. What we liked: Staff - exceptional throughout, we felt taken care of, remembered, from the front office, restaurants, pool, beach and cleaning team. Food : Buffet was very good, kids who are normally fussy dashing in to get food at every visit. General quality, frequent replenishment, and range of choice was excellent. Really tasty. A la carte, dragon - steak and sushi, barabossa - fish. Each offered alternatives for kids if they didn’t like the theme. Very tasty meals every day. With our all inclusive package we had a voucher for 1 meal in the a la carte , the others had to be paid for, however we received a subsidy from the buffet restaurant, which makes the cost more reasonable. Beach restaurants food are good as well, but are non included in all inclusive. All inclusive- not everywhere @ every-time, and not including everything. However mostly good. Didn’t cover wife’s cosmopolitan cocktail. Didn’t cover a fresh OJ at the dinner restaurant from my daughter - cordial was included. Beach - great vibe, great sofas just to kick back and relax. Plenty of sun beds of differing ranges. There’s a crafting area, outdoor gym and water sports (paddle boarding, wave-runners etc). Indoor climbing, thanks to Tatiana for helping the kids develop and grow in confidence with each visit. We were there 4 times in a week, 8/9 yo only. Great setting pool, beach, great sunsets. WiFi very good, can stream media content Managed to hook up chromecast to stream Netflix on the room tv. Minimart had pretty much everything you’d need. What could be improved: Phone App - great in principle, but slow and buggy. Rooms, needed some freshening up, paint, carpentry, bathroom. When we arrived (@night) our room (541) wasn’t ideal, it was on the edge of the resort, we didn’t like the position and felt isolated. We complained the following morning, and were advised the hotel is full, however rooms will be available the following day, and we can review options. We reviewed options, and moved to 544, which despite close in number was in another block, slightly more central. Pools are great, with a small but, the main pool shallow area was too deep for 4yo who is 110cm. Despite having a safety bar to split the shallow and deeper pool areas, it wasn’t ideal for her. The kids pool with the slides was also good, but perhaps too shallow for the slides and also requires some work to the tiles (chipped / can be sharp) and the surrounds of the pool. All said the kids loved the pools and were constantly in them. Kids evening entertainment was limited. Kids disco was too young for 8yo and evening musical entertainment for adults was not interesting for 8/9 yo. In conclusion: We would go back to Crete, and go to Grecotel again, it was really great. We would probably try another Grecotel just to have another experience instead of going back to the same place again.…
Our vacation at Creta Palace was amazing. The hotel staff fulfilled our every request and made us feel welcomed. Our room was comfortable and it was cleaned daily. The food was great and there was a lot of different options to choose from. Our expectations were quite high, but the hotel was far better than we imagined. We left the hotel area a few times, but everything was so much better at the hotel that we started to miss it and went back as soon as possible. The hotel staff was exceptional and we will definitely come back again. We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for a luxurious vacation.
The hotel is fantastic, we stayed for a week and did not want to leave. The facilities were amazing, really luxurious. The rooms were comfy and quiet, everything spotless. The staff are what makes this hotel stand out, they are so friendly and accommodating, with a special mention to all the lovely staff at the main buffet restaurant who made us smile every day. We have stayed at many great hotels round the world but this tops them for the warm welcome and value for money. We will definitely be coming back and trying out this hotel chain again.
Booked the Creta Palace for our Wedding anniversary, to say we where totally happy woul be understatement, our room was incredible, we had a villa with a private pool and cabana, leading straight on to the beach, lits of wardrobe space lovely lounge, 2 patio doors, 2 lots of patio furniture, The bathroom was lovely, separate shower and whirlpool bath, we opted for the Comfort package ( all inclusive ), it is good value, the food is all buffet style, good varied menu, 2 a la carte restaurants, Asian and fish, some areas not open till high season, my wife and I where very spoilt, with Champagne on two occasions and regular bottled water and fruit on our room, the Corporate Guest Services Manager Maria Mathioudaki was so fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, always there to help and the General Manager Giogios Perantonakis really runs a great team and makes sure all the guests are happy, the waiters, waitresses and bar staff are all extremely helpful and friendly, the room cleaning staff are spot on, our room was so clean each day, the pool bar staff are very attentive and always ask if you need anything and bring it to you sunbed. Put this hotel top of your list.…
When the room we had booked turned out not to be suitable for our toddler (stairs etc) the hotel worked hard to give us another solution. This ended up being an upgrade, which they gave us at no extra cost! The reception, room team, and front office are excellent and we're very thankful.
The Creta Palace is simply beautiful. It has very spacious and a nicely designed lounge area and newly renovated rooms. Everyone at the resort are very friendly and accommodating. The view from our room was really lovely, overlooking the long beach front from a high floor. The breakfast & dinner place is stunning. Dining in a nice courtyard setting was quite an experience. We always looked forward to every meal because very, very delicious food was served. Not to mention the wine selection. I personally felt so delighted when they surprised me with a delicious cake on my birthday. Thank you Creta Palace! The whole experience was truly amazing. Will definitely visit again.
