ABSOLUTE RECOMMENDATION (August 2023)

Thank you for a wonderful vacation! This hotel really deserves its 5 stars and if I could, I would give it even more stars!

The staff is always attentive, friendly, helpful and personable. They even try to speak in the language of the guests and are very humorous about it.

The complex is spotlessly clean and well maintained and leaves almost nothing to be desired. The hotel's own beach is right outside the door and has free and sufficient loungers and parasols. Here, too, everything is very clean and the service is attentive and friendly. The prices are not unnecessarily overpriced.

The beach towels can be exchanged at any time.

The buffet is very tasty, plentiful and varied. It is always refilled immediately and the empty plate is immediately cleared from the table.

The proximity to the harbor is another plus point. If you don't want to walk so far in the heat or are not good on your feet, you can take a taxi for 6 euros (the price is always the same) with 4 people, absolutely manageable even more often.

The air conditioning in the room is a MUST and works perfectly. Our refrigerator was broken and was replaced immediately. As many guests have already described, the storage space in the bathroom/shower is a bit lacking ~ a shelf or two could help and would be useful (that is the only tiny criticism from our side).

The SPA area is very nice and the massages were very good.

The hotel is very handicapped accessible with lots of ramps.

Our stay was fantastic and I would recommend this hotel without reservation. For 100 euros (four of us) we skipped the bus transfer from TUI and drove to Heraklion airport in half the time (just over 1 hour) with a very nice taxi driver without having to stop at various hotels ~ money well spent!

The Segway tour (Golden Tour - 3 hours) is also highly recommended to see the beautiful corners of Rethymnon and get some information about them in a private setting ~ Thank you Gianni!

I wouldn't rule out coming back again ;-)

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We booked the family room, which was divided into two areas by a sliding door. It was also modern and spacious, with a large terrace. What we had lacked was a clothes rack to hang towels and swimwear to dry.

Unfortunately, we were often woken up from 6:30 a.m. by the room cleaning, as it became quite noisy by moving furniture.

Another small minus was the emergency exit light above the door opposite the bed, which was very bright at night.

The breakfast and dinner offer was excellent. We especially liked the Greek food, very varied and tasty.

The center is within walking distance and right next door is a small supermarket.

On the beach and pool there were plenty of sunbeds (free for hotel guests). Although individual loungers were reserved, enough were always available during our stay. Towels for the beach and pool were available at all times and could be easily changed in the hotel.

The beach was clean and the service there was very attentive and friendly. The only downside was that no own drinks (except water) and snacks may be brought. These must be ordered through the hotel service.

The wellness offer we did not use (for us it was too hot for wellness.:-) )

Excellent hotel, can’t fault a thing! Great location - approximately 30min walk into old town along the beach front which is lined with shops, cafes and restaurants.
The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and modern and the house keepers keep everything clean and tidy. We had a sea view room which was amazing, waking up to the ocean and the nicest sunrises we have ever seen.
The pool area is great, never a lack of sun loungers, nice pool bar.

The staff are wonderful, from reception, house keepers, restaurant staff, bar staff - they are all so friendly and can’t do enough for you. They made our stay truly memorable, thank you to all!

Rethymno is a lovely place, full of shops, bars and restaurants. There is an open top bus to take you around the area and several boat trips to do. We rented jet skis - brilliant!

The harbour is beautiful- the restaurants there are lovely, they have fresh sea food which is amazing, can be quite pricy though. Head into the streets of the old town and you can find some lovely authentic places selling traditional Cretan dishes for reasonable prices.

The structure is located facing the sea, just cross the road (very busy) and you are on the beach. Umbrella and sunbeds are provided, the entrance to the water is very stony, but after about a meter there is only sand and the water is very beautiful and fresh. Walking on the beach is not easy given the presence of stones of various sizes, it is better to wear suitable footwear. We also found ourselves on windy days which did not make it easier to use the beach and therefore we often walked almost to the port of Rethymno where there is more coverage and less wind.
The hotel is not very big, but well organized. The very kind staff. Particular praise goes to the waiters at the pool bar and to the lady who manages the dining room staff in the restaurant in the evening. They are exquisite people.
The location of the pool bar is excellent, mostly shaded and ventilated. The main restaurant has a nice outdoor space, but little space inside which was a problem for us as it was 40/45 degrees and we preferred to eat inside with air conditioning rather than outside in the heat.
Very good cuisine, especially the Greek dishes.
The pool bar prices are excellent as is the food.
In short: we ate very well!
The quadruple room is a mini apartment with two rooms and a large bathroom, we had a very good time.
Some things could be improved such as the cleanliness of the swimming pool (small compared to the number of guests) and some details in the room. However, for any problem the staff is very attentive.
A 20 minute walk from Rethymno - walk on the seafront pavement alongside the busy road and without a shadow - reachable in 5 minutes by taxi (6 euros). The town is worth it, it's very beautiful.
It's a shame that the atrocious heat didn't allow us to visit other places and fully enjoy our holiday, but this didn't depend on anyone.
Overall it is a structure we would return to, we had a good time.

The hotel is great! The staff are super friendly, the food, breakfast and dinner are of good quality. The beach can be reached via the promenade and is also really beautiful, you can look towards the Fortezza and have a great view. You can order drinks etc. on the beach, and the waiters are super nice here too. The rooms (we have family rooms) are modern and clean, the beds are comfortable, we sleep really well. The spa area is modern and chic, the ladies there are all super friendly and warm, I booked a combination (foot-back/neck-head massage), Emanuela did a great job with the massage, I was able to relax really well. Overall we feel super welcome here in the hotel, it really deserves its 5 stars!
The town of Rethymno is so close, you can walk there during the day or in the evening, always following the promenade. There are lots of bars, taverns, shops, etc. It's probably full there in summer, but now in October it's nice and relaxed. We like this mix of the quiet hotel and the hustle and bustle of the town.

Two weeks Atlantis beach booked through Corendon. Upon arrival we were already met outside on the bus by staff member of the hotel who welcomed us friendly and escorted us to the reception. Upon check-in we received an unsolicited room upgrade. We had booked superior room with garden view, but got a larger room with pool view (302). Modernly decorated room with a surprising layout. You enter through the open bathroom with a semi open walk-in shower and walk-in toilet. Of course, separated by glass walls. Wet section made of beautiful sand-colored bibs, with black fixtures. Rest of the room in beautiful light wood panels. Much attention has been paid to the largely indirect lighting plan. This gives the room a nice atmosphere. Breakfast in the hotel is fine. Plenty of choice for us. Staff are equally friendly throughout. The private beach across the street from the hotel (you have to cross) is neat, but could use a refresher. Plenty of sunbeds with mattresses and umbrellas. There are staff on the beach where you can order drinks and snacks. Lunch snacks such as a club sandwich or pita gyros are affordable and tasty. All in all we had a great stay.  With other reviews there is quite often the comment to read whether the hotel is worth its 5 stars, but from us it gets at least a big pass!

First time in Crete!
We picked Crete as weather looked good around this time of year so didn’t know what to expect as first time visiting but wow it was amazing! Hotel was absolutely lovely very clean, lovely staff, amazing food for half board.
Grounds are very looked after and the views of the beach are just amazing one of the best beaches I’ve been too abroad.
2 big pools and one baby pool just a lovely atmosphere round the pool with the beach bar and music!
All I would say needs some evening entertainment or table tennis just an activity for kids to do apart from swimming but there is a beach and beach activities to do.
Supermarket very close by and lots of shops and restaurants along the strip also lovely food.
100% Recommend this hotel would definitely visit again!

Reception staff were absolutely lovely will do anything and everything for you we had a late flight home for 11pm but had to check out by 11am but we was given a room to have for the day for 50 euros which was amazing so we got to enjoy a whole day without stressing about luggage and just waiting around.

Visit Crete you will love it!

We stayed at this hotel for 15 days. I have absolutely nothing but amazing things to say about it. From the staff, to the buffet breakfast and dinner, to the modern and super clean rooms, to the pool area! Everything was great. I have visited many hotels around the world and rarely come across a hotel that is exceptional all around but this hotel is and they go above and beyond to make sure you’re satisfied with your stay.

As for the area, it is a 15-20 minute walk to old town Rethymno (we had a car rental so would drive and park there instead of walk but you can definitely walk it on the boardwalk). The beach is right across the street with comfortable lounge chairs and umbrella (included in your stay). There is a supermarket right next door if you need snacks or sunscreen or anything like that which is great to have. If you need a place to wash your clothes, I recommend “wash and go” a few blocks away. They’re great and not expensive.

Overall, our stay here was great and we will be back! This is a hotel that prides itself in providing top notch service. You won’t regret it.

Thank you everyone at Atlantis Hotel for your wonderful hospitality!

Christos & Diana from Montreal, Canada.

Beachfront hotel, with free private parking located in the adjacent street and at reception they will give you the remote control with a deposit of €20.
Very spacious room but the bidet is missing 😓
Abundant and very varied breakfast
The only flaw is the beach...
Not equipped like a five star hotel and the sand is not raked.
Excellent location for those who want to get around and above all to go out and take a walk in the center which is just a few minutes away.
I recommend it to you

The Atlantis Beach Hotel & Spa is excellent, a fantastic location, clean and good sized rooms, and a great place to relax. Everyone at the hotel was lovely, from all the people behind reception, the restaurant staff and the friendly faces we saw every day around the pool and on the beach, and couldn't be more helpful. The hotel amenities are superb, with pools, a gym and a spa, an outside bar and a great value restaurant. The breakfast and evening meal buffets are excellent, with a very wide choice to suit any diet and great value. We will come back. Highly recommended.

We had a sea view room but it was set back slightly so wasn’t noisy . I wouldn’t recommend the semi basement room looked dark and the private pool semi basement ones everyone passing looks in on them so not very private . The hotel is made up of a number of smaller blocks so it really depends which side you are on as to whether you get the sun in the day or early evening .
