I've booked the hotel via agency, and my choice towards it has been made because I fancy the name and the legend around Atlantis realm . Ms. Olga from the reception welcomed me on my arrival and introduce me to the rules/guides and whereabouts, so I would have many thanks to send to this fabulous lady. She found the Greek correspondent of my name, and this felt really flattering :). I'm grateful that the room received was far from the street noise, as I expressed my wish for a silent room. From the balcony I could see the garden, the pool, and part of the sea, and this was really refreshing. Coming from an agitated and alert environment this helped me getting into slow motion. The hotel courtyard is very well maintained and it has a very beautiful fountain in the middle. However, I would send my many thanks towards all 3 receptionists I have encountered during my stay - the 2 ladies and the one gentlemen. Each time there was a question or an issue, all did their best to solve it quickly and in professional way. Hotel Sales Manager, Mr. Yiannis was often around as well in the area, and if the place got a queue, he took over as well, and that was a great indicator towards customer orientation. Even if hotel was (most probably) fully booked, it didn't really feel like very crowdy. I guess this was reasoned by smooth flow and great team work. The breakfast & dinner staff offered great services and looked like an efficient team working together. Because of my short stay, did not got the chance to know and recall now all the names from staff team (and I'm sorry for that), so will take the chance to send best greetings towards all of them for making you feel comfortable during your supper. Regarding the beach, a great advantage is that it's nearby and it has the hotel services at its best. Being a morning person, at 7:30 AM in the morning, I was the only person on the beach (almost), witnessing the clean-up operation. The gentlemen in service welcomed me each morning and made sure everything is fine at the beginning of the day. Really cool and refreshing starting the day there...the beach was clean, and some of the best pictures with the sea were made here, in this time interval . Also did some trips around. Bus Station and Rethymnon port are near, and is safe to travel on your own, you just need to plan carefully the hours. There are some organized bus trips around, just to take into account they are full-day trips, so you need to think and plan the details as best as possible. It's possible also to rent a car from the hotel, but need to be booked in advance, and address at the reception, they always did their best in supporting your travelling. I've managed to do 4 trips, all the ones I had in target. The one in Knossos I planned on my own with the bus and booked a private tour there on site. It was one of the great experiences from Crete. Now, on the aspects which might be improved, I have some points as well: - English language: almost any local is mastering the basics in English, but dialogues which go further in details and stay on certain level require getting the knowledge of more nuanced terms. This is not yet acquired by the locals, but this is a general aspect in the area, not specific to the hotel. However, this leads sometimes to misunderstandings. - Being a solo traveler on this vacation, I was often asked, almost everywhere - in the hotel as well - why i am alone. That is always putting the guest (in this case - myself) in a bit of awkward situation to answer. The reasons can be multiple, and sometimes it is not a choice. I know that in general, hotels gain more when a room is booked by more than 2 people, but well, room in single regime is reaching almost the same price. My recommendation towards this is to train people (especially in a 5-star hotel) with a more western approach - e.g. I've been in Germany many times as solo traveler (work, business), and no one ever asked me why I am solo traveler. - Bathroom had a good look overall, however I think shower head will soon need replacement . - Breakfast for the days when you are having a trip is very reduced, as you are usually taking it before the opening hours. That is one aspect I addressed already to the reception.

The hotel is very nice, beach with sand and small stones, food very good. We spent the first 3 days around the beaches of the West coast and then decided to spend our time on the beach. Sunbeds are always available. We loved the massage, we had it twice, Eleni and Lolita were super, kind, professional and if you are in this hotel you cannot miss the aroma therapy, its very relaxing. I would love to begin every day like this! I also would like to thank the rest of the people working in the hotel, always kind, with a nice word, fast and never complaining, and, very important, always rispecting covid measures. we consider some of them already friends and we invited Katerina to come to Italy with us! Best holiday ever!

Just concluded a much-awaited week-long family vacation at Atlantis Beach Hotel @ Rethymnon - what a way to celebrate the end of the lockdown period! Comfortable bungalow accommodation nested in lush gardens adorned with palm trees, together with the friendliest pool bar team, truly get you in a relaxing holiday mood. Just across the road, the hotel private beach offers the best way to enjoy the crystal clear waters of Rethymon. Whilst the picturesque old harbour and historical city centre are within 10 minutes walking. We loved the inclusion of local delicacies at the already wide selection of the breakfast buffet and Angelica’s friendly smile, was the best way to start the day! We enjoyed our conversations with Yiannis at the bar and are grateful to Olga from reception for arranging our day trip to the magnificent not-to-be-missed Samaria gorge! The daily highlight was watching the sunset with its unique colours over the Cretan sea from the terrace over dinner…simply amazing! We shall be back…

This hotel is worth a visit,we booked for 12 nights, the best personell that we have come across for a long time. Go to the Hotel Spa and let Lolita give you a massage she does a wonderful job, I went 4 times!! Our room was large with a good balcony. Pool good, one can do a few laps if wanted. Beach across the road with umbrellas and sunbeds included also there is food and drink service at the beach from the Hotel personell. Water mostly calm and clean, bit stoney when going in, buy swim shoes if you have sensitive feet. There is a good Supermarkt next door to the Hotel, with very fair prices. The bottle of water in the room on arrival is a compliment of the house, meaning it is not replaced daily. Breakfast okay, they prepare to many fried eggs and when you finally take one it is stone cold and leathery, not to good on the soft boiled eggs either, mostly to hard. Lots of good Restaurants in short walking distance from Hotel. Rethymnon Town about 25 min walk or €5 with Taxi. Plenty of everything in the Old Town, good jewelry shops and very good quality linen clothes made in Greece not China. We would stay at this Hotel again yes.
