Detailed Reviews
A lovely small family run hotel in Rethymnon old town. We took a junior suite which was ideal for two with the bathroom, sitting area and small balcony downstairs and large four poster bed upstairs. Having to use a hand held shower in the bath won't suite everybody and TBH i probably wouldn't have booked if I had known but it wasn't a problem and we enjoyed the room immensely!
Breakfast was laid out buffet style but because of Covid was served by staff. Typical continental, meats, cheeses, cereals, fruit and more!
The restaurant had a large outdoor area open to the public, classic Greek fare very well excecuted! The internal courtyard with it's small plunge pool was perfect to relax in and nice for sundowners before heading out for the evening! The staff throughout were friendly and accommodating.
Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel and amazing service! Location couldn’t be better as well!
We were greeted with refreshing drinks and led to our room. For the first night we got a room on the ground floor, but from the morning next day they offered us a very romantic room with a french balcony just above the pool.
The staff is so friendly and they really go beyond to make you feel happy.
If we come back to Crete we will definitely stay again at this hotel!

Charming hotel in an excellent location in the old town of Rethmyno.
We had a suite which was a good size and had a shower, small balcony which overlooked into a restaurant.
The hotel is a Venetian house it is full of character, it is clean and decorated to a high standard.
Breakfast was OK, small buffet selection and some cooked items but by the end of the week we were going out as some of the local places served lovely brunch menus and fresh coffee.
The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We hired a car, there is no car park but free parking is around a ten minute walk away. We always got a space but it is busy.
Excellent selection of bars and restaurants around the hotel as you are straight into the streets of the old town, the hotel is on a quieter street which is good.
I would not stay again as although the hotel was lovely I really missed not having a pool area more than I thought I would. There is a small plunge pool and courtyard but only two sunbeds and a couple of seating areas.

Location: the hotel is right in the old town, but this strength has a price: the closest free parking is 10 Mins walking, but you can stop quickly to drop your luggages on the edge of the old town pedestrian area. There are other hotels nearby which have private parking.
Service: our check in has been very pleasant and we have been upgraded to a suite. Really nice chat and good recommendations for the area. Check out has been quite ridiculous, the guy couldn't track down the name of our room and asked us to go back to the top floor to check the name for him. Not what would you expect from a boutique hotel.
Design: the online pictures portrays the place way better than is in reality. The interior are not historical, they are just old and need a refresh very soon. Everything is quite dated and some details feels cheap ( plastic bottle trap on show in the suite, cracked mouldy silicone in the bathroom ).
The biggest problem tough is the placement. Our room was on the top floor of the building and we could not open any of the windows for the entire duration of our holiday as the smell from the restaurants nearby was so strong it filled the room instantly. For the same reasons we could not venture on our balcony and the beach towels left outside to dry smelled of fried fish after the night.

The property was extremely lovely. The location and the room were perfect. The restaurant was beautiful and for the majority, everything was very nice. (4/5)
However, there was an unfortunate incident. My partner and I were in the hotel buffet line to enjoy breakfast, and the buffet manager accused us of not being hotel guests in front of the whole restaurant. After showing them our key card, they did not seem to get the message, and I had to explain the reservation name and our hotel room, and asked them to go check with the front desk. They came back, and still in front of the whole buffet, told us our room did not come with a complimentary breakfast, and the hotel would need to charge the room 8 euro. That was more than fine with us, especially since that is common in every other hotel we stayed at, without being singled out and embarrassed. Furthermore, we did not witness other hotel guests being confronted as we were. Sadly, I believe we were confronted for two reasons: Firstly, because we are young, in our early twenties, and did not fit the mold of the average age of the hotel guests. Secondly, my girlfriend is of non-Caucasian ethnicity, and we are both very dark skinned, again not the typical guests at the Palazzino Di Corina. It is unfortunate this happened, because it had not happened to us priorly in Greece, or in a long time in general. The buffet manager should have asked us to confirm ourselves as hotel guests in a manner much more appropriate considering the setting, and we could have resolved any additional payment happily. This property was our second choice after having to cancel our 2020 and 2021 trips to Crete for obvious reasons. We think we really lucked out - the hotel decor has an authentic “old” feel to it, which is probably due to great interior design, but looks natural! It has retained all the Venetian features and you are literally stepping back in time in this converted palazzino.
We had a great welcome from Apostolis, the General Manager (Apostolis went above and beyond as we departed when he dragged our suitcases through the streets because our booked taxi driver decided to refuse to pick us up at the hotel, Apostolis certainly gave him a piece of his mind - legend!)
Too many staff to name check, but they were all great. John, who was the first member of staff we met and was lovely and friendly throughout, Panayotis, Joanna, and especially the wonderful chambermaids, thank you all for a great stay. If you are in Rethymno and want Old Town charm, head to the Corina!

I spent a week in this hotel in May: the palace is wonderful, the room (Mideia) is not huge but very nice and cozy, with a very comfortable bed and a small terrace with a table and a couple of chairs. The breakfast is delicious and varied, there are also homemade jams and cakes. The staff are very kind and professional. The hotel is located in the center of the old town, nearby there are many tourist sites, shops, restaurants and even parking lots.

We stayed here for 3 days it was more than I expected So much character lovely owners, great location.
We didn't manage to use the restaurant but I have been told it's phenomenal we wanted to travel around rhythemon and make the most of it and boy there's lots to do 😍 so glad to have stayed here and experience what there is to offer.
Beds really comfy the only downside we experienced which isn't the hotels fault but there is a very large nightclub opposite and I was kept awake most nights as partying went on till 6am 😳 I can imagine as things start to open up more it will be a common thing 😂 parking there are two car parks pricey at €20 a day!
You can park up on the streets but at your own risk.
Great place and loads to offer ❤️

We stayed a week with a TUI holiday, bed and breakfast. The hotel is in the old town, full of tiny little streets, with some nice upmarket shops (some….not so much…).
It is a beautifully restored Venetian villa, with cobbled courtyard, and a restaurant. We stayed in a suite called Kronos. Nice large room with four poster bed, sofa, TV, small fridge(a mini bar), lots of storage space. The bathroom had a hand held shower over the bath, and hairdryer like something out the 1950’s. But lovely. Nice little bottles of olive oil bathroom products. Little balcony which got the later afternoon and evening sun.
The only issue we had, was getting used to the occasional noise from the street outside. This may get worse in the summer season. It’s a tiny street, but noises at night seemed to echo up to the room and wake us. Maybe ask for a room over looking the courtyard.
The breakfast was excellent, so much choice, and constantly being refilled.
We didn’t eat in the restaurant any evening, so I can’t comment on that. It looked nice, but there are plenty of cheaper options nearby.
A beautiful hotel, so well cared for, excellent staff who couldn’t do enough! Loved it.
Perfect first holiday after 2 years of staycations!

Room Tip: Possibly ask for rooms overlooking the courtyard to avoid street noise.

What's not to like? We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this hotel as it is unique. The pool is tiny but that didn't matter to us. Room was very comfortable and and staff were excellent. Breakfast had a great choice and we also ate in the restaurant one night and really enjoyed it. Would have eaten there again but so many other nice places to eat as well. Only downside was that the shower is an attachment and does not hang up so you have to hold it whilst showering. I would've though this was easy to remedy as someone else mentioned recently. If you like small and quaint book Corinna.
