Positive aspects The hotel is kept very clean and most of the members of staff come across as being friendly and helpful. The hotel is reasonably priced as for our 7 days we paid about 1300 euro for two: standard room with a garden/pool view and the hotel’s all-inclusive package. The rooms and main hotel buildings are located about 100 m from the beach with the beach/snack bar being situated near the beachfront. The snack bar and seating facilities more or less block a sea view for ground floor rooms. The main road to Rethymnon is located just behind the hotel thus you have easy access to proximity services: supermarkets, shops, busses, car rental places etc.. The hotel is generally calm (no children allowed under 16, I believe) with two entertainment evenings per week. (Wednesdays and Fridays) The main restaurant is 100 % self-service and has a variety of beverages available: soft drinks, one light draught beer, draught red, white and rosé wines. Our room had a balcony with a small round table and two chairs and there were creepers growing up along the wall which were very nice. Other aspects On our arrival at the hotel no welcome drink was provided. We spent our first night in a room at the back of the hotel near the road mentioned above. We asked to change rooms as there was quite a bit of noise. Improved sound proofing would be of benefit. Our room was changed without any problem. There was a safe in each room but they were not free of charge. …
We've been with friends here 6 nights "all inclusive". Good things: 1. the beach bar lady - she is awesome. 2. The hotel is near the sea. 3. Receptionists are very friendly and helpful. 4. Almost everything is clean and enviroment looks beautiful. Cleaners doing good job also. 5. Food is quite good. Things which should be improved: 1. Most of the cocktails are almost the same, just different colors.. beer was also not as good as expected. 2. You can't sit where you want in the dinning room and then you need to wait till table will be ready to sit, so you need to wait with the full plate of food till all be ready... 3. We had a feeling that we were stangely being watched by the personal - we had feeling that it was because we were much younger (30+) than the rest of the people (50+), so it was a little bit uncomfortable. 4. One evening in the lounge we had small incident when hotel manager (i think it was a manager as he commands to other waitress what to do in the dinning room) was working as a bartender in the lounge: my girlfriend was looking in the meniu and he grabbed the meniu from her hands, put it in the other side of the bar and went away without taking order from her. We were a little bit shocked. 5. If you will order lunch basket - don't expect to get something good - we got one sandwich with olive and tomatoes, 1 apple, 1 orange and if i remember good - 1 water/nectar, so you must keep that in mind and plan where you should eat the real lunch somewhere. 6. We didn't like that bathroom (separated only with glass) was inside the room - this caused constant moisture in our room. 7. Beach bar working only till 17:30h, when it is sunny and hot it doesn't makes sense to go inside the hotel to get something to drink. 8. Toilet is only in your room or 1 in the main building, so you need to go from the beach all wet to the room or to that. Building which I don't think is very cool. 9. Would be good to have "do not disturb" option in the rooms as in the moment the cleaner always will come and you don't have any choice. 10. Too bad there are nothing to do in the hotel except go to the beach - would be fun to have some entertainment options. 11. Sometimes it was strange when we were trying to order something from the bar and bartenders, in example, were filling beer half of the glass and other half with foam and it was done specially. Conclusion: hotel is oriented to older people (50+), if you are such age you will be fine - it is a good place to chill, however if you are under 40 years, you should consider other place to stay.…
I just came back from Eva Bay hotel in Adele village, Crete. It was my fourth time visiting Greece and the first time on Crete. What can I say, everyone on the staff from receptionists to restaurant crew are super friendly, beach is 100 m away, the sea is milky warm and the food is delicious! Bravo to the staff team for making our holiday such a pleasure! The hotel is small, which is my personal preference to the big chain hotels. I would definitely come again and recommend Eva Bay to everyone for a quiet warm get away.
Unforgettable experience at Eva bay hotel I arrived very late at night (1am) and Alexander (the manager) warmly greeted me. He served me a meal in the restaurant on my arrival in the middle of the night. -The rooms are spacious, modern and redone. -The restaurant is moderately large. The food is very good, varied and changes every day. Great choice, there is something for all tastes (European and traditional Greek cuisine) -Pool overlooking a beautiful private beach. But the most striking is the kindness of the staff! Helpful, smiling, attentive. The hospitality of Eva bay's Staff is exceptional. If you rent a car, its situation is strategic because it allows to visit a lot of things in Crete (Elafonissi beach: 2h / Matala: 1h / Heraklion: 1h / Chania: 1h) Thanks again to all the staff of Eva Bay for your smiles and your kindness! Very friendly staff! Peaceful stay, not too big hotel, good location. Lot of travel agencys nearby, local bus stop 50 m to the right. All food excellent - fresh and tasty for every taste. Clean everywhere icl. beach and the sea. Use swimming shoes to avoid rocks. Lovely beach bar, very comfortable.
Excellent secluded and clean beach at the furthermost spot of the Panormo bay .Away from all and not easy to get to it if yon dont know about it ..The taverna is very friendly and tasty but compared to others a bit over priced because of the exclusivity .
Beds are pretty hard Only one public toilet in whole hotel area Hotel is NOT suited for people who have trouble going up/down the stairs. Many main routes in the hotel i.e. going to restaurant requires climbing stairs up/down few times. Perfect staff, nice food, fantastic location
+ Good hotel for queit rest. No childs, many old people. Very clean rooms, white new towels, good beds, big bathroom. Delicios food, vagetables, meat, seafood, chicken. Very helpful staff, barmens :) Many different cocktails :) Very good wifi :) - A lot of steps, so old peoples with heals troubles will have walking problems.
The location is good. I came here with my old mum ( 68 years) she really enjoyd the stay. My comments: food variety is kind low, but food quality ir really good ( salmon, mussels, lamb and etc.) but I missed more fruits and normal coffee. Rooms, from my point of view, are clean, all necessary things are in right places, but style is a bit old, beds and pillows really uncomfortable ( mums said that it's ok, maybe I'm quite sensitive) Around the hotel there's a lot of green area, a lot of grass, trees and flowers so it looks really nice relaxing.
Hotel with a beautiful location, the pool is not big but it is beautiful and quiet, a wonderful panorama, friendly employees, good food but not very diversified, we did not have seafood. We were pleased with the cleanliness. We recommend this hotel!
