Charming boutique hotel in the pedestrian area of the old town. Quiet and cosy place - the 2 pools are very lovely - ideally located to discover the city. The staff is simply adorable and attentive. Highly recommended.

We are returning guests to this wonderful hotel. That in itself is a positive. It is perfectly placed in a quiet little street in the heart of the old town. You walk in through the doors, escape the wonderful, lively hustle and bustle of the old town and feel like you have escaped to a small quiet palace. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, welcoming, friendly, engaging and informative. They made us feel welcomed, valued and as importantly in these testing times - safe. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel takes all the necessary safety precautions that the COVID world finds necessary, but you still feel relaxed and comfortable. The hotel is spotlessly clean ( restaurant area, pool area, reception ) and the rooms are cleaned and serviced on a daily basis to a high standard. The hotel restaurant serves breakfast which is table service and very good. There are no shortage of fabulous restaurants and tavernas within a very short walk to eat and drink at lunch time and dinner. This hotel really is worth booking into if you are staying in Rethymnon and want to be close to the harbour and right in amongst the charm which is the old town. We would particularly like to thank all the staff for the wonderful job they did of making our stay much better than we could have expected in these challenging times. We look forward to returning here.

Before we left home the staff at Rimondi had already agreed to move our stay dates free of charge - despite the delay being entirely our fault. Stressed out from traveling during the COVID pandemic in early September, we instantly relaxed on arrival - seeing the beautiful courtyard & swimming pool and being greeted by Miss Helen on reception. Miss Helen and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay stress-free and enjoyable, from bringing us snacks to our room when we missed breakfast, to helping us plan day trips on the island. The hotel's location in the heart of Rethymno's lovely old town is fab - surrounded by pretty streets, yummy restaurants and welcoming locals. We felt like part of the community by the time our week was up. (We'd particularly recommend Kapilio and the restaurant at Veneto) COVID-wise, the hotel is extremely clean and the staff were very careful - hand sanitiser and face coverings a-plenty.

We stayed at the Rimondi for the first week of August during the Covid pandemic and we had a fantastic time. From the moment you arrive they make you feel so welcome and the hotel is beautiful, especially the two pool areas. Despite not being able to serve a buffet breakfast due to Covid we had a lovely breakfast served at our table including cooked food if you wanted it. Plus chefs special little ‘cheese pies’. The service at the hotel is outstanding, any issues dealt with immediately. It’s all impeccably clean and well looked after and is situated in a quiet street in the beautiful old town in Rethymno. Can highly recommend this hotel. We will be back. Thank you very much. Watkins family x
