a beautiful hotel in a beautiful place. A place where you can feel comfortable and relax. I felt very comfortable at the Aegean Pearl. The staff very friendly and always an open ear for problems. The excursions offered directly from the hotel with Tasso were just interresant , informative and beautiful. Anytime again. To bring it to the Punbt: It was a beautiful vacation where nothing was missing.
Enjoyed our recent stay at the Aegean Pearl. Our flight was delayed and we arrived after midnight. They treated us like family, kept the bar open for a drink and made us a club sandwich! Everything nearby was closed, we were so impressed. The location was far enough from the action but close enough to walk to. Great breakfast included. Enjoyed relaxing by the pool.
We have wonderful holidays in sentido aegean pearl. this was the first time in Crete and we are very satisfied with the quality of this hotel. The service is very good and the dinners and breakfasts are the best I ever had! The rooms are very clean and modern. The people who work in sentido was always very nice and accommodating. Thank you all Best wishes from Germany Stefan Smolinka Bad Orb
The hotel staff are fantastic, nice to see some familiar faces but they were all very efficient. The rooms were kept very clean and the restaurant also seemed very hygienic. I was with the bridge group who had to finish dinner promptly and that worked more smoothly even than previous years. I was glad to discover that the Day break sessions with Tassos were still going though I didn’t go on the organised walk as the weather was too hot for it. It’s nice that they assign the same room to repeat customers if they possibly can. My only minor quibble is that the variety of fruit could be improved. Previously they provided strawberries and plums which were nice and healthy. It would also be a good idea to have ordinary melon at dinner as well as sometimes having water melon. Also, there wasn’t cheese one evening though that can’t involve any effort to provide it.…
Very nice rather small hotel with excellent service and food. Clean and neat. Super nice staff. Right on the beach and in walking distance to the beautiful town of Rethymno. We stayed a week with two kids in a family room and really enjoyed our time.
We spent two weeks at the Aegean Pearl in April. The hotel gives a feeling of space as there are a lot of outdoor areas meaning you can always find somewhere private to sit. It has a nice private beach area just across the main beach road but if the weather is a bit windy as it was a few days in April there are other more sheltered spots available. The rooms are pleasant with spacious balcony’s as you would expect for a hotel of this standard. The highlights of the hotel are undoubtedly the generous good quality breakfast on offer and the friendly professional staff. Poppy and the other blond lady at the breakfast room were especially welcoming. The hotel sometimes lays on extra events at no extra cost and we did a walk to a neighbouring mountain village which was. Interesting and recommended if available . We liked the position of the hotel as the old town of Reythymon is a pleasant walk (30-40 mins) along the seafront .Although if you are less mobile there is a bus every 30 mins , and there are a nice variety of local restaurants in the area surrounding the hotel. Overall a professionally run hotel which provides a great experience of Cretan hospitality…
The beds were very comfortable. Rooms were quiet ( pre-season) Breakfast and buffet dinner were tasty, varied and very palatable. We didn't use the facilities much, since we wanted to get out and about, which proved practical with our rented car (Parking at the hotel was free of charge and very close by) The events offered in the hotel were very professionally performed and were a delight to enjoy, particularly the folklore ensemble with its virtuoso musicians. All in all, a highly recommendable sojourn so close to the sea.
Our holidays this Easter were very good, we rested and we liked the hotel and the nights at the Aegean Pearl hotel were very nice..We will come again next year ..We liked the rich buffet breakfast in the morning and the quiet we had all day in front of the sea.
Lovely hotel right in the beach- friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were clean and well maintained and comfortable beds. I went with a friend but found it was mainly full of couples and a few families ( it wasn’t in school holidays) very few British staying there at the time but a nice mix of other Europeans. Walking distance into town along the promenade although about 2Km. Plenty of good tavernas nearby too - we noticed quite a few were on full board which is a shame when great places to eat nearby.
First things first, this is not a 5* hotel. Is it a good hotel? Most definitely. It is impeccably clean, the rooms are lovely and the breakfast choices varied, numerous and tasty. The fact that the 4* sister hotel is literally joined on makes for a confusing stay. We had family staying there and on viewing their rooms, I would say the extra we paid to be 5* is not worth it. The restaurants served the same food for breakfast, we used each other's pools (not meant to but nobody checked), and it is a shared bar. What seemed unfair is that we got free loungers on the beach but they had to pay. Why? They all belong to the hotel, they didn't have to pay to use loungers by the pool so why on the beach? Seems like penny pinching to me. On the subject of loungers, many reviews have commented on the "issue" and they are right to do so. Most of the guests here are German and believe it is acceptable to place loungers on beds at 8am and use them for 30mins at 3pm. The hotel DOES NOT move them . How do I know? Because I asked them to when the only free ones were in the shade, and was told by the concierge to sit somewhere else in a very offhand way. Would I stay again? Yes but probably in the 4* part and pocket the difference…
