We spent a couple of days in Kouriton House. During our stay we had the chance to live a unique travel experience as we stayed in a stone house initially built in 1750 with traditional architecture and furniture. Mrs Anastasia (the owner) is a significant source of knowledge regarding the ancient Crete and the most recent years. There are plenty...

We have been here for the second year in a row. The experience last year has been wonderful, hence we decided to spend a night again this year. Besides the wonderful, traditional location, you will enjoy the unique kindness and hospitality of the owner and host - Anastasia. If you want to visit the area nearby, ask her recommendations: you...

As part of our second annual cultural and culinary road trip in Crete, we were so lucky to come across the Kourites House, a marvel of hospitality and of the very authentic traditional Cretan Tastes, along with a most informative cultural enlightenment, so warmly provided by Mrs Anastasia, owner of the establishment. If someone is looking for a piece of...

It is actually a traditional house based on the history of kourites. Mrs Anastasia managed to reborn the history of this house. It has its own character, built with stone and wood. There is a balcony where you can enjoy a perfect sunset and a full of stars sky.The rooms are like a fairy tale... A dreaming traditional kitchen with many greek...

I was very surprised to read the other reviews. Our experience was totally opposite and we would not hesitate to recommend this place to our friends. The owner Anastasia, is a lovely, warm and hospitable host. She is very passionate about her culture and upon her recommendations we ended up visiting sites and areas we hadn't planned on. She provided...

This place is really creepy as well as the person that owns it. Despite being a reproduction of a creten house and sold as an original experience in Crete , the way it is managed is very unprofessional and unorganized. Owners do not speak English very well and do not reply to emails (or after one week,). The house is...

We stayed in this guesthouse for one night and we would not want to stay for any more time for a number of reasons. Although the place is beautifully renovated and decorated, if there are no other guests, you may find yourself staying there all alone, and this is not as attractive as it may sound. For example, before we...
