This room category is facing the main road and also the bar, where is animation program every night till midnight. Rooms are very small and there just 2 beds pushed together. This room category is the worst. To go to the beach is very dangerous as you must cross this VERY frequent road and any driver will not stop. Not suitable for small kids and also for seniors. The beach is with black sand and acces to the sea is through slippery stones. And the biggest joke is snack and lunch box - it is bun/toast with 1 slice ham and cheese - very poor. And generally the food should be better. There are too many minuses.. We were not satisfed as we paid more then 200€ per night for our triip. There is no reason to come back..

We have just had the most fantastic week at this hotel. The hotel had everything you need for a perfect relaxing holiday, the large pool and pool bar, with comfy sun loungers and umbrellas. A stunning beach also with a bar sun loungers / parasols, and crystal clear water. Our stay was all inclusive and we have eaten the most delicious Greek and international food, every meal was a buffet and we have not wanted for anything! Fabulous night time entertainment by the fantastic, fun and energetic animation team hosted by Nico, they also hosted entertainment during the day from yoga to darts to aqua gym. Greek night with the whole hotel dancing was our favorite night, but every other night was a close match, helped by the fantastic cocktails that Stavros made. We have been so well looked after and the family atmosphere when the team said goodbye means we have tears from leaving this magical hotel. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much to everyone at Hotel Tylissos for making our holiday truly special. Sarah and Bella xx

We had fastastic stay at the hotel, there are a few things to mention. The hotel is a smaller hotel situated near Ierapetra, relatively small and calm town. Though the town is not too calm, there are always places to see and things to do (diving, water sports, trips, car rental, museum, shops, restaurants, bars,...). The manager and personnel were creating cosy and family atmosphere and we really enjoyed that Location Ierapetra is reachable by bus from Heraklion (the capital of Crete, airport) and it may take 2 hours to get there. Our travel agency managed the connection. The town centre is aprox 15 min to walk from the hotel. Rooms Rooms were nice, clean, all as expected. And having nice balcony. Beach The beach is really up to 30 meters from the hotel. The beach was not overcrowded and a few stones at the sea bottom enables us to enjoy snorkeling with fish just a few meters from the beach. Not to forget - there is a beach bar too. There is a wellness centrum (we did not use), swimming pool and children pool with another bar behind the hotel. Personnel Our first moment at the hotel was a nice surprise - the receptionists are speaking multiple languages to greet variety of guests (Czech, Russian, Polish, English, German). Generally all the staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. They are all makimg advantage of the hotel being smaller and make the atmosphere more personal. Now I realized that some people are very visible (receptionists, animation team, barman, the noisy cook, Ranna,.. ), some people are less visible (the quiet cook, waters, cleaning ladies) but all contributed to make our stay very comfortable and relaxing. Cuisine I must admit the meals were one of the most enjoyable moments. Experience on its own. We really enjoyed it (maybe more than we should), variety of meals, salads, sweets amd fruits. All was fresh and very tasty. I like coffee during the day and I'd welcome if the espresso would be included in the all-inclusive package (by default only filter coffee is included), but I understand we cannot get it all. Regardless that prices at the bar were really reasonable. I could only recommend this hotel if someone is looking for a relaxing holiday with the beach very close to the hotel and incredible kitchen
