Highly recommend this lovely hotel, super clean spacious and well equipped room with great view from balcony . So pleased to have found it and will return. Very nice pool again super clean. Helpful and friendly family who run it. An oasis with trees.
What a lucky find on the south coast of Crete just West of Myrtos..Set across the street from a beautiful deserted beach on the Libyan Sea...Clean comfortable well priced with a wonderful owner… Who even sent us off with homemade cookies… Thanks Mina ..we will be back!
The wonderful welcome and hospitality by Mina will make you want to clone her and take a copy back home with you. What a lovely lady. The hotel is a couple of kilometres along the coast road from Mirtos village, ample parking across the street, welcoming garden setting and cracking sea view. Check-in simple, comfy clean room with all facilities listed, piping hot shower (good water pressure!), and a variety of edible treats provided by Mina. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she cares that you have a good stay. If you're looking to get away from it all with quiet time around a pool or have a great base from which to explore the southern coast, I would wholeheartedly recommend it here.
Went there with the family (4) for 6 nights early Aug. Quite spacey double room flat. Good breakfast very flexible on time, all quite relaxed. This is a small hotel in front of the sea, but also the road... This was the weakest point to be honest... its noisy during the night as big trucks and cars go full speed on the straight bit in fromt of the hotel... If you ok sleeping with windows shut and aircon on then ok... if not and unlike window open so you cal listen to the sea then this is not your place. The hotel is 5 mins drive to Myrtos village, its nice there but need a car you can’t walk on the road as too busy and dangerous, no pavement of course.. So, good place, fair for the money but wouldn’t recommend for more than a couple of nights.
We stay at the hotel two nights and we had a nice time. The room was clean and spacious and the pool was big and deep. The staff was super friendly and nice and they made us feel welcomed. Definitely worth a stay if you’re visiting the Ieràpetra area of Crete ❤️
While traveling all over a Crete we always make a stop over here. This time we stayed for 7 nights. The owners (Asimoula & Nikos) and staff (Albina & Raoul) are all very friendly and helpful. We love the pool, the garden, the local cat Lucy and the excellent food + raki at night. A rental car is recommended because Sarikampos Beach lays 1800 mtrs out of the lovely small village Mirtos. There is btw a bus stop in front of the building, ask for the time table and routes. Read more reviews of other guests here below, you will find all the info you need. Yamas!
I and my two teenage sons loved the Sarikampos beach hotel. Loved the fact that the large clean rooms had a kitchen. My room had a small balcony with a lovely view of the pool and sea. The pool is surrounded with mature vegetation and we sometimes had it to ourselves, even in August. Perfect for families and couples too. Mina was a wonderful friendly host. Great, simple breakfasts on the shaded vine-clad terrace in the mornings. We arrived very late at half midnight, and rang ahead to ask if there might be anything we could eat on arrival (after a long drive in the dark from Heraklion airport with nothing to eat), Raul stayed up late and made us a delicious Greek salad, with lovely warm bread and cake, fruit and yoghurt, even though it was 1am in the morning. Exhausted as we were after travelling all day, that meal washed down with a couple of glasses of wine, was probably the most welcome of the holiday! We would happily go back.…
Room: spacious and clean. Nice view from the balcony. But no elevator. A welcoming bottle of water on arrival, some home-made sweets when leaving. Professional staff. Quite a good value for the price. But at the end - bring all seven facilities where we have stopped during our trip around Crete - we ranked this hotel on the 4th or even less position. No feelings to come back when leaving. A very personal judgement. Not to forget - location of this hotel is ideal for the trip to the east part of the island.
We made a booking through phone, asking for a spacious apartment, for 2 adults and 2 teens, being really clear about our need for 2 separate rooms. When we got there, we ralised 2 beds were in the dinning room, so there was just 1 room.THe owner suggested we got 2 seperate smaller apartments, which of course we had to pay for more, although it was their mistake. The apartments were not bad, but you old.You canhear everything from rooms around, the beds are old and noisy, and if you need something late at night, doors are closed. There are rooms near the pool, that seem to be nice, but they are noisy. They make you pay foe aircondition, but you can download an app at your smartphone and create a remote touse it for free.Myrtos village is about 2 klm and as the beach opposite the hotel is not organised and accessible, next time I go there I will stay in the village. The pool is good if you have young kids .The owners are polite and helpfull, but I think they are pretending in order to get money from you. You can find much better places to stay without paying more…
We have stayed a night in this hotel as we were traveling all the island by a car. It was very clean with good car parking so it was ideal for overnight stop and sleep. I have to say as a family run hotel the owners were very friendly and welcoming...
