This is in English for my fellow travelers. Where do I begin? 6 luggages 4 bags and no one flinched their eye to help us, not a welcome, nor a hello! We felt invisible until we went to the reception and what a nightmare it was. The receptionist was manic about all 3 guests giving him the ID Numbers as if the one from the person who booked wasn’t enough. As if our flight wasn’t literally in 8(?) hours.Wouldn’t let us in even tho its not mandatory. Imagine being on the roads for so long, arriving late and having to deal with this. One of my friend wrote his name down and the receptionist called him names because he couldnt read the letters but everyone else could. When went to eat and came back, not even 2 hours after the check in, the man yelled at the same friend who went up on the stairs like he was talking to a bad behaved dog. Said that 3 girls live on the room and showed him the paper that my friend wrote that clearly had a MALE’s name and HOW ON EARTH COULD HE NOT REMEMBER HIM. Its not a five star busy hotel, would rate it a 1, so how busy was he those 2 hours? About the room, found hair in the toilet. Only good thing, the only thing renovated. Old and tiny doors, when you open the door it hits the walls and annoys the guests around. We stayed at 210, its 3 people capacity, the “view” was backrooms and mechanisms, full of pigeons, we were afraid to open the window because they also did nothing to prevent them. I WISH I HAD TAKEN A PICTURE BUT I WAS TOO TIRED TO DEAL WITH THIS. Maybe you will get better luck with the reception service and the room, but I wouldn’t let luck define were I spend my hard worked money so do the same. TRUST THE BAD REVIEWS AND EASTE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE…
Booked for two nights either end of our Cretan road trip Great location for airport buses and for heraklion nightlife Standard room set up Okay buffet breakfast Friendly staff Let us leave our bags after check out until late evening when we headed to airport Second booking which we did the day before we arrived was more $$ due to only a triple room being available .When we checked in they tried to put is a double ,we said we've paid for triple .When we went to the room it was the exact room from the week before so that peeved us a bit .Shame really
an absolute cheek!!! Would never ever recommend this hotel. At first they tell you that they have parkingplaces by the hotel. Then you can‘t even get there by car - because: it is a pedestrian zone! but at booking.com they say that they have parking places and you can reach the hotel by car!!! but we tried every single street - nothing but barriers. so i called the hotel and they said that everybody is reaching it by car (so they unofficialy told me i am dumb) and they told me the streetname (which i cant understand because i cant read or spell or can do anything with greek letters) so he told me to enter it into navigation … HAHA so funny. i said i can‘t!!! i didn‘t even understand the name … and there is no english or latin lettered streetname … ok … so i wanted to cancel it but he said: i cant to that and there is no one around who can manage that … i have been very angry because driving around in the middle of cretan streets is the most stressful thing ever. We booked another hotel and went there on foot. SURPRISE: you cant reach it by car and when i walked in and personally asked if they can be reached by car or even have any parking places he had the nerve to say NO straight away … and we didnt even got our money back … so sad that there are such unfriendly and lying people. this is not fair and your vacation can be ruined by such unnecessary events ……
Prison camp. Beds rock hard. Location good but no parking plus receptionist was rude. I asked for change and they said we are full you have to wait The breakfast is poor. Bedroom window looking out to rubbish and pigeons
We stayed here for 7 days. Way too long Pros. Location is great. Ten minutes to the ports, 15 to the main bus station to walk and right next to all the shops and restaurants. Cons Bathrooms were recently renovated so they are very modern however they are very small. The bathroom door hits the toilet. There are no outlets for blow dryers or electric shavers. Breakfast is still being served in paper bags. And based on some of the pictures from others it's the exact same from two years ago. If you are not a carb eater I would suggest getting something at the supermarket. The hallway noises are loud due to the atriums. The staff is overall good.
I stayed in a hotel from 1-8 July 2021, for 7 nights. I was quite satisfied with everything. The stuff was friendly apart from one receptionist who unluckily worked the evening shift on the day of my departure. He actually made a scene in front of the hotel shouting at me as I decided to cancel the taxi I had asked him to call previously as there was no taxi around at that very moment. Why did I ask him to do it?? The taxi was very late so much so that I was afraid I would miss the transport to Athens. There were 3 taxi vehicles in front of the hotel and why on earth would I wait for one that does not appear. He was very rude and didn't bother to go out of the hotel and 'teach me a lesson' in front of many people watching at us. Just horrible! I think this person is completely unprofessional and should be educated about good manners with the guests.…
Location is great! It's right in the pedestrian zone so easy to walk around to shops, restaurants, and the Heraklion Archaeology Museum. Unfortunately the closest parking was not free and it was a few blocks away. The pedestrian area is super busy so was dropped off to check in and then driver could not get back to drop off luggage, had to park and cart it several blocks to hotel. People out at the cafe across the street till 12:30 am, had to use A/C to drown out the noisy street below. Hotel is very old, could use a good cleaning in the room. The bathroom and shower were super small and smelled badly. Good wifi, A/C, shampoo and soap provided, beds were hard, sheets were scratchy. The breakfast included stale cookies and bread, a cheese, a meat, a hardboiled egg, coffee, apple, canned peaches, yogurt, cereal, juice, tomato, cheese, and cucumber. There was one available plug a USA adapter could fit into. We unplugged the tv and fridge to charge our phones. Was told parking was 8 Euros a day but could not find it, so parked at a closer place with an hourly rate. Cost 75 euros for 3 people.…
Basically. it's a 2star hotel, so don't expect the Ritz. But it's location was 5star - right at the top of the pedestrian area. Countless restaurants and bars just steps away. We arrived by ferry and walked to the hotel...15 minutes: walk along the road beside the ocean and then straight up the pedestrian street. Breakfast was OK - not great. Coffee machine in the restaurant didn't work the first day. Room had a small balcony so you can sit and watch the goings-on.
Best place in town if you are on a budget. Really central without the rubble. What else does one want for the money they pay for this hotel? The free parking is a bit far away but so what. Great place for the buck.
Once you understand that you haven’t paid for a five star hotel ( 60$ CAD )things aren’t actually that bad. I picked this place as an emergency as we needed an hotel pronto for an overnighter. The staff were helpful and polite but if you expect to make them your friends, buy a dog instead. The room was clean and fictional
