This hotel is not as bad as some of the reviews say and it is a decent hotel however I did see some water on the walls and a cracked bed panel but these things did not ruin my stay the breakfast is a nice continental breakfast. the only way the food could be better is if they had clotted cream for the croissants but this was not expected.

Hotel's Favorite
A great city hotel. A short walk to the harbour, museums, city centre and shops. Everything was clean. The room was a decent size for our budget. The breakfast was excellent and served in a roof top terrace with great views of the city walls. All the staff were lovely and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

It is not a 4 star hotel. We have paid a deluxe room and get a standard room. Only after several complaints, they have changed our room. The breakfast is poor. On the other hand, they offered us a free dinner to pay back for the discomfort, but… finnanly they asked us to pay the dinner… very very embarrassing. Stay in another place if you want a 4 star hotel!

Double check what you pre paid. We knew they were trying To charge us €55 too much but as we tried to make the guy in reception aware he fitted and wouldn't listen he was right we were wrong. Eventually we had proof through online banking but he wasn't happy still. In total we stayed 3 nights the first room was fantastic apart from the safe wasn't fitted in place and could be moved by anyone. The second night we were moved to a inferior room so we were pleased to continue our holiday elsewhere on the island.. Our last night on the island was back in this hotel. Overall the food wasn't bad but I must say we will never stay here again for various reasons including above and the area it is in. The dining room on the 5 th floor was nice but that alone will not lure us back. Im afraid you only get 1 chance with me and this time you failed .

Overall: Spend a little bit more money and stay somewhere else. This place is not up to par. Cons: This hotel is pretty grimy. There was hair on the floor of my room. The bathroom had a very pungent mildew smell and the shower was moldy. When I turned on the shower, the water pressure was extremely variable and the water shot out in all directions from the showerhead, making it difficult to actually use it. The shower also did not seal and so a huge puddle formed even in the area where there was a glass door. The AC turned off in the middle of the night even after I had called down to ask if there were any tricks to the system to look out for. There were also ants in my room. Pros: The Staff member who checked me in was very nice and helpful. The view from the upstairs restaurant is pretty cool. My room was spacious.

This hotel really surprised me. The rooms and bathroom were really clean and the staff were so helpful and friendly and honestly make the whole experience in Crete so much better. One time, my friends and I came back late and something had happened & the receptionist doing the night shift was so helpful and kind, I cannot thank him enough! The rooftop bar is also an added plus, as the views are amazing, and the staff are really friendly. Initially I didn't expect much, but this hotel really exceeded my expectations!
