We stayed in a room with private pool. The view from the hotel and from the room were just stunning. When we arrived we got room 74 which has the largest pool (the glass bowl one) and whole day sun on the terrace but the room as such was quite small so we asked to change it. The change wasn't a problem at all and the new room interior was way more spacious. The breakfast was decent & the poseidon restaurant (lobster night) very good. The beach restaurant is perfect for lunch! The staff was great, especially Roberto. We met Roberto at different locations across the resort (poseidon, beach, samurai, dinner) and the service and friendliness was just outstanding. We already booked our stay for 2021.

We stayed here in early September. It is a great hotel and truly is 5*. The views are of course incredible and the pool area in particular is really amazing, but mostly we were blown away by the service. On arrival it was explained to us that whatever we needed or if we had any problems whatsoever, they would do their best for us. It is clearly ingrained in the culture with the staff here that they have to go above and beyond for guests. Shout out in particular to the pool boy - by the time you've walked half way into the pool area he was usually already finding you the right sunbeds and collecting fresh towels for you. One night we got a taxi back from Elounda and I mentioned to my girlfriend that the taxi driver was a bit moody - the hotel employee driving us up to our room then asked me if everything was ok as if there was a problem, they would help. There was no problem, but this was symptomatic of the hotel's approach. We ate at the beach bar a couple of times and it was really good. Great seafood. We also thought that the pricing on everything was very reasonable for a 5* hotel. After leaving the Royal Marmin we went to Abaton Island in Hersonissos for 6 nights, but left early as we were very disappointed, and came back to the Royal Marmin. We followed the advice of some reviews here and went for dinner at Lotus Eaters and it was fantastic. We managed to get a table a second time too due to a cancellation which was lucky as they're always fully booked. Definitely give it a try if you're heading into Elounda. We booked the deluxe room and that is well worth doing - it's not a lot more money and you get a much larger room with a bigger balcony and (even) better view.

We stayed in one of their deluxe rooms with whirlpool and it was just amazing. The resort is beautifully designed and built into a hill and our room was smallish but the balcony with whirlpool was awesome with stunning views over the mediterenean. The room was clean and roomservice very good. The ameneties like pool, private beach are great. Up to date, clean and beautiful setting. The food is also very good, breakfast for every taste and dinner in main hotel also very good. The two a la carte restaurants are both absolutely top notch with the most delicious food and the best service I had for a long time- in particular Marianne and Vasilis at Poseidon and Stella at Ikaros Beach. The spa is great and the hotel is perfectly located between Plaka and Elounda both in 20 minute walking distance. Cabs are available and a limousine service. Club carts take you everywhere in the resort if you do not want to walk. The whole team is unbelievably nice and fulfills you every wish you could have! We had an exceptional week and will for sure come back. Thank you Royal Marmin Bay team for making it such an unforgettable stay!

We had a fantastic stay in this hotel thanks to the high quality of service, availability and support. The staff understood the difficulty that my wife had to move because of an injure she had and they supported us a lot to ease our journey.Thank you very much! On top of this, the location and the hotel itself are really nice and everything is there to have a fantastic time. We also appreciated a lot the spa treatment we had with a highly professional and talented staff.

I booked this week through LoveHolidays guaranteed sea view room. It's a lovely place, yet it wouldn't be a place I would return to. Simply, I didn't feel the magic here for myself. The room no 51 is great if you are a solo traveller. Amazing views, I lay there looking at the full moon, panoramic views with a private terrace. It's in a good location if you prefer walking everywhere. Getting a buggy would drive me mad, yet if you are high up, you may need it. The buffet breakfast is excellent. Covid measures 10/10. Feel so safe everywhere in this complex. Thank you to the staff at breakfast, bar. Always polite, friendly. Excellent selection with granola, shaved pistachios, all the nuts, yoghurts, eggs etc. They will serve you at the buffet. Good to be there 8.00 to 9am before the noise. Private beach was fine until the inconsiderate guests yap for 90mins loudly on video phone. Are people so ignorant? I go to the beach to hear the sea not your racket. Other guests invited their friends along with their baby. They were not residents. I moved beach beds again to get away from the screaming. Not the best beach, hear the traffic above but you zone it out eventually. The skipper boat is great. Loved it. Paddleboards look fun at eur20 an hour. Spa - very good massage. Excellent way to break up a day, relax. Beach bar - excellent service. Love the almond coffee sitting on the sunbed listening to the waves. The lady was run off her feet, yet always smiling. Decor - it's lovely, a Zen feel yet those knockers in the bathroom need Velcro on them to stop them banging. I felt it was trying to be 5 star yet it wasn't meeting a 5 star. The finishing touches were missing, grubby robes etc. Why don't they provide the hair shampoo with the conditioner? You have it in the spa. We don't all travel with bottles of potions. This is the first eco hotel here and it's evident alot of thought, action is going into it being a sustainable hotel. Walking to Plaka every night was good for dinner. Love the shop Noa. Many restaurants to choose from, cute. I ate once in the main restaurant opposite the sushi place in the hotel - ok. There is evening entertainment- the pool jazz was excellent. Views from the pool and the garden deck for reading are wonderful. Booked a taxi privately or you can use the hotels car service circa euro 110 each way. I paid eur 80 for Mercedes. Stopped at supermarket to buy loads water for week. 7 nights was plenty. I left more relaxed. Loved the views from 51, private and panoramic. Brilliant writer's desk looking out at the sea. A lovely boutique hotel, super location. Good for solo travellers. You feel safe. Excellent staff. Thank you Enjoy your time here and bring comfortable walking shoes.
