My family of five have just returned from a 16 night stay at the Blue Palace and we all had a great time. The view is outstanding. It’s hard not to become blasé after so many days looking directly at the island of Spinalonga. The rooms (two bungalows with heated pools) were great. There was plenty of room for us all to eat on one balcony. The hotel is big, so we didn’t get that sense of Groundhog Day that you can get on a summer holiday. Plaka is a few minutes’ walk away, so you could eat elsewhere without the hassle of two taxis. The housekeeper was amazing. We had the same person every day and she offered us extra towels and whatever we needed. She really made an effort to fit around our timetable which we appreciated. We ate in every restaurant more than once. The prices were similar to those in Plaka and there was never the sense of being taken for a ride. (In Plaka we were charged 180 Euros for a fish.) All restaurants were very good. We really liked Isola, Deep Asia Blue and the Blue Door. We also used room service a great deal and the guys delivering the food were brilliant at arranging everything and so polite and friendly. The negative points were the laborious check in process and the bagging of sun beds on the beach. As a family who only had stuff on a lounger when we were there, we were appalled to see so many loungers reserved without being used. Unfortunately, beach staff also colluded in this, reserving sun loungers for favoured customers for hours. Nevertheless, the hotel’s staff were its greatest asset. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The training of staff was clearly of a high standard. I’m sure that we will return as I felt the holiday was good value.

Luxury hotel with all facilities for a good holiday; all the restaurants for dinner where amazing, excepting Bio restaurant with own garden, where the staff was impolite and superior va customers. Blue flag beach, rocky beach not sandy; about meals: is more than enough to have breakfast and din er a la carte; a special remark for the guys from Asian restaurant, you where amazing, guys! Good work!

Overall a very good resort, with some hiccups. Service is excellent, both the concierge and reception were exceptionally helpful with booking restaurants and organising activities. The incredible attentive nature of the service cannot be understated, the restaurant recommendations were particularly on point. Breakfast Is decent, and the hotel restaurants “Asia Deep Blue” and “Blue Door” are both very good - if a bit pricey. However if you’re ordering cocktails and food - do it from the lobby pool, the drinks from the “beach club” were extremely watered down and subpar as opposed to its lobby counterpart. This can be rather annoying if you’re interested in using the beach lounges, however the pool close to the lobby is particularly nice and scenic. The resort is in a good location with the nearby village of Plaka being only a 5 minute walk away, and town of Elounda a 10 euro taxi ride away. Lastly, the resort may be on the larger side for however you value that, though because of this it’s range of amenities is truly excellent.

We are currently staying at the Blue Palace hotel. Covid rules are strictly enforced. Breakfast buffet gloved and hand sanitizer were readily available. Rooms are cleaned and remotes had plastic cover protection. Overall, we are very pleased with the hotel. In the Maisonette suite room, it’s two levels, master room upstairs with full shower and balcony. Bottom level sofa bed and rollaway for my two teens, full bath and private pool. Perfect for family stay! Location wise, the hotel has its own private beach and water sports rental. Very easy to do any thing! Private boat rental to go over to Spinalongka island 35 euro from the water sports rental site for hotel guests. My only complaint would be the check in process. After a long trip, took us one hour to get our keys. We hired hotel car for pick up and hotel should be expecting us. It wasn’t pleasant to have to wait for one hour to get the room key after a long travel day. We were very tired and didn’t appreciate the long wait. I think this process should be easily modified especially for guests using hotel transportation. Overall, the hotel is gorgeous and service has been top notch! Breakfast spread is wonderful too. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Crete!

This is how paradise looks like - if you have a chance to ask someone who visited their. What a lovely property, on the Elounda bay, with a private beach that has all your needs… With a funicular (lift) from the reception area into the beach and pool and beautiful spa that I could only imagine how amazing it was before COVID-19 ! And most of all the stuff who, as if it was its own hotel, make sure you have a good time: Either taking you with an electric car to your bungalow or just serving in one of many restaurants (a little expensive) that are around the property.
