Our return visit following on from our holiday in June last year. A really comfortable superior bungalow with separate Lounge , large bathroom and pool somewhat bigger than the one at cobblers cove colleton suite this one you can swim in . Because of the wretched virus the little mill restaurant was closed so we used the yacht club with its fabulous views of the sea , boats , and islands . Food in the yacht club is really good , fish grilled , perfect , sautéed prawns with rice , great , lobster pasta , more than a meal and lots of lobster Puddings especially the chocolate one perfect contrast between sweet chocolate and citrus sharpness . Food is hot on arrival we hate tepid food . Service led by Nikos and all their excellent smiley staff Not forgetting Evie on the wine . Then for a change a visit to elounda suite hotel their Italian restaurant a short buggy ride away ,for dinner under the trees , this fabulous service , the perfect food , the mushroom risotto with truffle the tiramisu , Greek style ! Really nice experience great head waiter , great staff Lunch at the same hotel also excellent just by the sea Pure pleasure . So there we have the main impression , not to mention George in the hotel Bar a fount of knowledge of the night sky , the lovely walks around the hotel designed so cleverly the little seats under the shade for contemplation like a Greek village ,Anna in the beach bar smiley , friendly making everyone’s stay fun . Sorry to leave will return …
Seaside hotel about 40min by taxi from airport. Beautiful quiet location above Elounda Bay in lovely grounds with planned walkways to coves, small private beach and Yacht restaurant. Also Old Mill restaurant nearer to main hotel building.Dined at Yacht restaurant most evenings but menu basically did not change. Good range of choices and quality of food and service were first class.Lovely ambience above beach and sea. Our bedroom had unobstructed sea views from large balcony.Very comfortable bedroom and lounge area. Surrounding area from hotel very quiet and long walk into Elounda (or preferred taxi). Staff always polite and helpful, and spoke good English.Very high standard of furnishings and cleanliness throughout.Lovely pool beside hotel but limited space for loungers. An hotel for couples and retirees!…
We return frequently to this wonderful hotel, which never disappoints.Staff and management are attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Rooms in the main hotel building are well appointed and the food and service are truly first-class. Very high standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel. The hotel is set in very attractive grounds leading down to a small private beach. Altogether idyllic! We cannot wait to return
Everything was excellently - the staff, the food, Spa centre, surrounding area are incredibles. The room is very clean and comfortable with beautiful sea view. The room service is very good. We'll come back again and again
Everything was amazing. The stuff is very polite, the food is delicious and the surrounding areas are fantastic. The Old Mill restaurant has an exquisite wine list and a Michelin star quality sommelier. We definitely recommend this hotel and we can’t wait to go back again next year.
