Our family of four came back last week from our first post-pandemic holiday and we are so, so glad that we spent it at Domes Elounda. It was our first visit to a Domes hotel, and our first trip to Crete too. We had the most lovely, happy time, and were very impressed with every aspect of the hotel. We had a family suite with our own little private pool which was a lot of fun for us all. The kids' evening entertainment (two small events in the week we were there) were really fun and special for our girls (2 and 4 years old). We were half board and really enjoyed the buffet spread. If we were just grown ups on holiday, we'd have gone to Elounda and other local towns more, but it was more suitable and relaxing for us with the kids to take advantage of the buffet every night and there were lots of options to keep us all happy. I especially loved the variety of vegetarian & salad options. Unsurprisingly the kids couldn't believe their luck that there was a self-serve ice cream parlour complete with cones and sprinkles every night :) The beach is glorious. The pool is lovely although I would have to add one comment that the kids pool, albeit shallow, which qualifies it, sure, could be a bit more kid friendly in being a bit warmer! and also maybe in terms of decor, toys - some way to convey a stronger sense that it is a kids' pool would be great. But the main pool is beautiful. And I know i already mentioned the beach but honestly, I am missing it so much this week, it is gorgeous. And now for the final element that made our trip at Domes so happy and special - the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff is really outstanding. There was no one who works there, from the buggy drivers, to the staff at Theros, to the wonderfully friendly room cleaners, who wasn't smiley, kind, helpful, to all of us, and particularly to the kids. Even amongst this very high standard of charming and attentive staff, we wanted to especially thank the Beach staff crew because, as if the beautiful beach, perfect clear shallow sea wasn't enough (it was!), the level of service that the beach staff provided, with genuine smiles, and generosity of spirit, was really kind and special and we won't forget it. Thank you, Nikos x2, Chris, George, & Arsenis. from Damien & Jay

Fabulous hotel with stunning views! We stayed in the Core vicinity, and had an outstanding room with outdoor kitchen and infinity pool. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, good quality food and amazing staff who went above and beyond to please. Plaka is the nearest village which is around a 10-15 walk away.

Fantastic place. One week is not enough. We were greeted with mind-blowing upgrade to a luxury villa, best view ever, couldn’t ask for more. Sadly I managed to come down with tonsillitis on the day of our travel and my 2 year old managed to catch a bug on a plane - traveling with kids takes you to completely new level isn’t it?! Hotel was super quick in organizing medicine delivery from a pharmacy for me, as well as organizing a visit from the doctor. The illness was the only downside of our holiday, but hotel dealt with a problem very professionally. The rest of our holiday was absolutely fantastic - from food to beach everything is amazing. I’m totally coming back next year and next time i’ll make sure I stay for longer!

I have just returned from a weeks holiday to the dreamy Domes of Elounda with my brother. We were staying in one of the 2 bedroom villas on the resort, staying here gives you access to the Haute Living lounge with free drinks and snacks and a dedicated concierge. The Villa was just perfect, spotlessly clean upon arrival and we even arrived to a little food package with sandwiches, snacks and drinks as we arrived past 11pm at night and they (correctly) assumed we would be hungry! This was a lovely touch to begin the holiday. Both bedrooms are of ample size and both have their own bathrooms, there is then a smallish kitchen and living area which leads to the piece de resistance…..the private pool. This was just perfection, plenty of sun and shade areas (my brother likes the shade whereas I prefer to lie in the sun), four comfortable sun loungers and a large dining table under cover. The pool is a perfect temperature and is essential for a dip to cool off! Then to the resort itself, due to the position of our Villa we had breakfast by the main pool every morning, the selection was excellent and catered to all tastes. Domes is a family resort and for this reason we never actually spent a day at the main pool as this was definitely more centred towards the children, fortunately the adults only pool was just a short buggy ride away and this was extremely peaceful and relaxing….an adults only pool in a resort such as this is essential! The private beach was also just a short walk away from the pool and we were lucky enough to secure our own cabana for 2 days which we spent by the sea. My only comment on the beach and the main pool is that the ‘Quiet Zones’ are not always adhered to, if it’s that parents choose to ignore the signs or that they simply don’t notice them is up for debate but either changing the signs to state ‘Adults Only Area’ to be clearer, making them larger, or the staff enforcing this would be beneficial for those parties that are travelling without children. The sheer size of the resort means that the families are never lacking for areas or things to do with their children - it was something we heard a couple of other adults only parties mentioning also. Next the food….we dined in all of the restaurants apart from the main Tholos buffet restaurant. The restaurants (apart from Tholos) all need booking, which we did with the assistance of Katerina on our first day. Whilst all the food we had was delicious, I was slightly underwhelmed by the choice of traditional Greek food on offer, this was just slightly lacking in my opinion. Ironically we had more Japanese food than Greek! However only a small gripe as being there for 6 nights we were able to have some variety, if you are staying any longer than this then I imagine you would definitely need to venture outside the resort to get your fill of traditional Greek cuisine! Finally, on to what makes Domes of Elounda in my eyes a 5* resort is the absolutely lovely staff. From check-in, to the hospitality staff and of course the staff in Haute Living. Special mention to Sarah and Maria, and in particular the absolutely excellent Despoina in Guest Relations. Despoina was the star of the show for us, she greeted us on arrival and was always there in her professional, calm manner whenever we needed anything or even just for a chat. A really lovely lady and we were sad to say bye to her! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Domes to friends and family in the future.

Lets get the negative out the way, they charge you for water at the evening meal, when that exact same water is free at breakfast, seems stupid. Whatever you do, DONT pay the people at the resort to visit Spinalonga island, which is literally 3 mins away from your room. They charge stupid money and lie to your face saying "you wont get it any cheaper" simply visit the nearest village and take a boat out to Spinalonga.. We stayed in the Family Suite Sea View with Jacuzzi, amazing views and breath taking..Jacuzzi was always warm and clean.. the room has a safe, towels always replaced and a fridge. we had to ask for a kettle. big bathroom, good shower and small bathtub. The staff is amazing, so helpful, whenever anything needed in the room, they were there quickly and with extras. The breakfast and evening staff, made us feel so welcome and my little daughter began to call the restaurant manager "Calimera Baba" meaning good morning grandad lol.. Wanted to say a special thank you to all that staff, made us feel at home and at ease. Massage experience - very expensive, massages were ok and the spa area is very peaceful as the deliberately try to book it so that every couple get to enjoy the space themselves. The grounds are huge, so great for long walks, quite hilly also. Outdoor gym is very cool, good weight dumbells and free weights. very windy though at times, as its quite high up. Kids pool outside is said to be a warm pool, but it was still pretty cold and not toddler friendly, unless you have a kid who really dont care and jumps straight in.

This was our third stay at Domes of Elounda, and again it did not disappoint! My husband and I stayed at Core 1 bedroom villa (with pool) for 10 nights and I can not fault it. Totally stunning and it was made even better by not having a family staying either side of us (if planned , excellent allocation by the manager. I’m not sure I would have loved it as much with a family next door, but we were able to fully relax by our pool ) 3 teams made it very special; Nina and Izabella @ customer relations. Best service one can ask for, and nothing was too difficult to solve (inc access to Netflix and Instagram tips!). Their recommendations were spot on, and they were such fun to speak to during our pre dinner drinks in Haute Living Room (another highlight) 🥰 Nikoleta - and her whole team @ Blend with a special shout out to Anastasios (our favourite restaurant- ate there 8 times and all meals were top notch!) They made every meal special & it was a daily highlight at both breakfast and dinner. Domes are lucky to have them. Last - but definitely not least - my review would not be complete without a mention of Pantelis: the 1st class sommelier! 🤩. His knowledge of greek wines was outstanding. We ended up trying 3 completely new grapes / blends (to us) and we loved them. Wish we could have taken him back to London with us - but look forward to seeing him next year instead So a 5 star review! Brilliant resort ( Haute Living experience a must) with a fab team. Highly recommend.

We spent a magical 10 days in a Core Residence 1 bedroom villa with pool. From start to finish, we were given an experience over and above our already-high expectations. The highlights of our stay, in addition to the wonderful residence and quality food (Half Board with Dine Around) were as follows: - The guest relations team of Nina and Izabela for whom no task was too small - The incredible service from Nikoleta in Blend restaurant and her senior manager Anastasios - The vast knowledge and amazing personality of Pantelis the sommelier who works across the restaurants, enhancing every meal with the perfect wine match All of these exceptional individuals (and many more) combined to make this a truly wonderful holiday. Thank you Domes. We will be back!

We traveled to many places but this is our first review.. Domes of Elounda is our favorite hotel in Greece !! We arrived at the hotel for the fourth time on 22.5 for 4 nights and this time I also brought my lovely family with us so they can enjoy and see why we love this hotel so much and why we come back here every year. We wanted them to see what this perfect hotel has to offer We took 4 rooms. My family really enjoyed their stay and wanted to say thank you to the amazing staff of the hotel that made our vacation so amazing. The staff of Domes of Elounda is so dedicated, attentive and very caring. You really can feel that they are working from the heart. They were so welcoming every morning and gave their one hundred percent so that our family experience would be just as great as the previous times we came as a couple. Last time we were at the hotel in August 2021, we arrived when I was seven months pregnant and this time we arrived with our 4 months daughter-first vacation as a family. The hotel is very kids friendly! We wanted to express our appreciation to Xenia from the reception who helped my family and talked to them in Russian and was available for them with any request and question they had and was just lovely and kind. My sister-in-law is pregnant and she was worried she would not know what is possible for her to eat and she would not have many options also for her 4 years old daugher but she was surprised from the huge and pampering buffet in our half board vacation. Also i want to mention Matina from Tholos restaurant (the buffet) she brought us fruits and desserts to the table that were also suitable for pregnancy and she was just wonderful and very helpful. Manager George is # 1 ! He took care of us and all of our rooms and took care of everything we needed while we were at the hotel-and its not the first time!!! Thank you very much!! we really appreciate you!!! The lovely Stella remembered us from the previous times we arrived and was excited to see us this time with our daughter and was glad to take care of us with whatever we needed. Last but not least I like to mention the amazing Nicoletta who even the last time we stayed at the Domes and I was pregnant, she took care of me and welcomed us every single day with a huge smile on her face and great hospitality! Last time she brought to our table at Tholos restaurant (buffet) everything my heart desired in my pregnancy and all of that with a smile and generosity. This time she remembered us and was very glad to see us again and even gave our little daughter a lovely present!! Everyone in this hotel are so nice-even some of the buggy drivers from the hotel told us they remember us from last time and its something we can’t take for granted! ‏Looking forward to our next time in this 5-star hotel!!!
