All the great things said by other reviewers about the location, the rooms, and the breakfast (OMG!) are accurate ... and the staff is even better. Ask Angie for her typed-list of preferred food and wine places ... and enjoy a delightful conversation with her about anything. Discuss your day trips with Vasilis and he will mark up your take-away map with sooo much useful information. [Also, he was so generous with his time in helping us – just before the end of his night shift – locate the right medical clinic .. for what happily turned out to be a minor problem.] And at breakfast, Colin Furth exact-look-alike Chris was always a morning bright spot. Ask him how he's doing on his German lessons. And Barbara is an easy-going charmtrist (yes, it should be a word and Barbara is one.)…
My husband, two year old son and I absolutely loved Serenissima Hotel! Not only is it a beautiful building tucked away in the gorgeous streets of the Old Town, a stone's throw from the Venetian Harbour, but our room was divine! (Room 2). Spacious, clean and with a lovely, big comfortable bed. We had our son in a cot nearby and he slept brilliantly as well. The bathroom was gorgeous and the room was lovely and quiet. Breakfast was scrumptious but the absolute highlight was the amazing staff; from start to finish they looked after us so incredibly well. 5 out of 5 for everything!
We can’t rave enough about the Serenissima boutique hotel in Chania, Crete. It’s perfectly lovely and wonderful. The staff are simply the nicest, most helpful imaginable. They greet your cab and take your luggage, make suggestions about what to do and see, where to explore, where to eat. They make and serve delicious a la carte breakfast. The hotel has 7 nicely appointed rooms. It’s in the historic old walled city center. We hated to leave. What a fabulous experience.
Very nice hotel. Clean room, king size bed, and has a menu to select various pillows according to your preference. Very good breakfast. Amazing kind and helpful staff that spoke excellent English. Highly recommended!
My wife and I recently had a fabulous time staying at Serenissima Boutique Hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly and goes out of their way for helpful suggestions (restaurants; directions; attractions). The room is very spacious with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was tremendous. A great way to start each day! We would stay at Serenissima on any return trip to Crete.
Great location in old town pedestrian area. Near all shops, restaurants and old harbor. Great service and wonderful a la carte breakfast. Parking is an issue. One must park some distance away and manage luggage. Very friendly & helpful staff.
The room was special, it was split level. Very clean and we were looked after by the very very friendly staff. Thanks to Ioannou, Dimitri and Vassilis we enjoyed a very special holiday. They helped us spend 5 unforgettable days in Chania. Recommendations for restaurants, car rental and road maps etc. Nothing was too much for them.
My Aegean Thesaurus travel agent booked this hotel in Old Town Chania. When you step inside the doorway you are immediately transported away from the sounds outside. We stayed in a junior suite on the first level and everything was exquisite. The complimentary breakfast was always delicious and well prepared and the service was impeccable. Unfortunately the hotel did not have its restaurant open for dinner during our stay. The room was very comfortable with high ceilings and plent of designer touches. Jhonna, Dimetrious, and Vassilios are the perfect hosts who do everything to make your stay more comfortable. We would never stay anywhere else in Chania.
What a lovely property and amazing staff. This boutique property is in the best location in Old Town Chania and is charming. The staff is extra special - they were professional, super friendly and helpful in every way. From helping arrange accommodations, transfers, and advice on touring to providing a delicious breakfast in the lovely open aire courtyard they always went well beyond the norm to give us the best experience. I had the misfortune to need medical attention while there and they were extremely helpful in arranging assistance and extending our stay. We would stay there again if in Chania and recommend others do the same.
Charming boutique hotel in old town Chania. We stayed in a junior suite and it was perfect for 2 people for 4 nights. Super easy to walk to everything! The hotel is near the livelier parts but far enough away that it’s very quiet and peaceful inside the actual hotel and rooms. If you have a rental car you’ll need to park a few mins walk out as cars are not allowed in the area the hotel is in. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was not open during our stay but breakfast each morning in the courtyard was delicious! Really enjoyed our stay here!
