A lovely "boutique" hotel converted from a 16th Venetian manor house into a stylish holiday retreat hard by Chania's charming harbour with its views and lively bars and many restaurants. However, the hotel would be difficult to locate in Chania's cobbled streets when you first arrive but if you stay a week, there is a complimentary taxi service from the airport to the nearest drop off spot and you are met by a staff member to help with the luggage with a further 100 metres or so walk to the hotel. Attentive front desk staff with lots of ideas of what to do and where to eat in a tourist town that has so many restaurants to choose from. The hotel's fine dining restaurant is closed currently due to the impact of covid. The hamman is also closed for the same reason. My room (and bed) was comfortable but didn't have a full length mirror nor a separate chair and I did have issues with the light levels in the room that the staff attempted to fix. I think my double room would be on the small side with two people sharing. Good and delicious breakfast with fresh orange juice - served in an open courtyard when the weather is good - with hot dishes, including Cretan specialities, cooked to order. I did hire a car but have to admit it was a long slog to and from the parking areas - although this is not the fault of the hotel - as the harbour is very popular with tourists and locals alike and everyone in Crete seemed to want to drive in and park near the harbour in order to socialise in the evenings. If you hire a car, be warned, many of the roads have many hairpin bends!

Spent a gorgeous few nights in Chania and stayed at Serenissima. A wonderful, charming small hotel . Breakfasts were generous and delicious and taken in their courtyard. The staff were all so helpful and lovely. Highly recommended.

A very charming and elegant small boutique hotel right in the middle of old Chania. Ideal to explore the old town and the nearby beaches. Rooms are very elegant. They serve a superb breakfast. It has a restaurant which is highly rated but was closed during my stay.

We stayed here for a week and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were given the superior suite on arrival but for some reason (which is still unclear to us) we were moved to a smaller room halfway through the trip. Having said that, we weren’t in our rooms much of the time. Every member of staff was extremely friendly and helpful advising us on where to eat and which places to visit. The staff arranged for a few trips including a private transfer to the amazing Elafonisi beach with an incredible guide - Joanna who I would highly recommend if you want to beat the crowds. A special thank you to Vasilius who was so helpful. It was a last minute trip for us as we didn’t think we would be travelling during the pandemic but it was just what we needed. It was an incredible holiday and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a small hotel a few metres back from the harbour. Small, but comfortable, with beautiful rooms and service. Rooms are arranged around a 'Venetian' stone courtyard. Air conditioning will keep you cool. In normal times there would be a restaurant, but in these Covid times only an excellent breakfast is served, outside in the courtyard. This is one of the best hotels in the town.
