We spent six wonderful days at Serenissima Boutique Hotel. The hotel is a beautiful Venetian Townhouse that has been restored with incredible attention to detail. Our room was spacious with a wonderfully comfortable bed and a gorgous bathroom. Special mention needs to be made of the delicious breakfast we were served in the courtyard every morning (do try their granola and toasted bread with crushed tomatoes!) The owner and staff were all so friendly and helpful, providing us with beach towels, great advice re restaurants and even packed us a take away breakfast when we had an early start on the day of our departure. Chania is the perfect base for exploring the island with many of Crete's most beautiful beaches as well as the Lefka Ori National Park within easy driving distance. Finally, we felt incredibly safe staying at the hotel, with staff wearing masks, hand sanitizer being available at the entrance to the hotel, etc. It was the perfect place to stay in Crete and we can't wait to go back!

We stayed here for a week and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were given the superior suite on arrival but for some reason (which is still unclear to us) we were moved to a smaller room halfway through the trip. Having said that, we weren’t in our rooms much of the time.

Every member of staff was extremely friendly and helpful advising us on where to eat and which places to visit. The staff arranged for a few trips including a private transfer to the amazing Elafonisi beach with an incredible guide - Joanna who I would highly recommend if you want to beat the crowds. A special thank you to Vasilius who was so helpful.

It was a last minute trip for us as we didn’t think we would be travelling during the pandemic but it was just what we needed. It was an incredible holiday and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We loved our time at Serenissima. We had a 1 bedroom suite which was laid out really well for our family with a sofa bed downstairs and a king sized bed upstairs. We also had a large balcony to ourselves. The hotel is very centrally located in the heart of Chania (which is an adorable town). Parking can be found 3 mins away in a garage at an affordable rate. The reception to breakfast service was perfect. Everyone was extremely helpful and kind. We were given several restaurant recommendations that were nothing short of amazing. Highly recommend this hotel, there's a reason it has so many 5 star reviews.

A first class hotel with first class staff. The location is good, no sea views but in a quiet street in the centre of old Jewish Quarter, one minute from the harbour and within walking distance to some of the best restaurants and shops. The finishing, furnishings and fittings are excellent, our suite (7) was spacious, well equipped and had a large outside terrace area. Room service and housekeeping were both exemplary, the breakfasts were served in the lovely open courtyard area, there was enough choice to satisfy most tastes and the food was great.

The hotel is five minutes walk to the nearest place where a taxi could meet or drop you, we did not hire a car, but I imagine parking would be much further away. The hotel arranged our transfers, dealt with our luggage, recommended restaurants and arranged a private taxi tour to the archeological sites we wanted to visit.

Minor downsides - there is no elevator and access to our suite involved three flights of stairs, the last one of which had no handrail, plus another internal staircase to get to our mezzanine bedroom area. This would not concern visitors younger than us, and we managed ok. The bedroom area was poorly lit but unlike other reviewers, we found the air conditioning adequate in 35° outside temperature.

Highly recommended.

Dear AustinSpeedy, Thank you for your kind comments, the detailed description of our facilities and service and last but not least the feedback on specific characteristics of the building. We appreciate and take into consideration of our guests opinion and always make an effort to improve on these things that the architecture and strucutre of a 16th century mansion allows. It would be a great pleasure to have more opportunities in the future to extend our hospitality to you! Warmly,

My Aegean Thesaurus travel agent booked this hotel in Old Town Chania. When you step inside the doorway you are immediately transported away from the sounds outside. We stayed in a junior suite on the first level and everything was exquisite. The complimentary breakfast was always delicious and well prepared and the service was impeccable. Unfortunately the hotel did not have its restaurant open for dinner during our stay. The room was very comfortable with high ceilings and plent of designer touches. Jhonna, Dimetrious, and Vassilios are the perfect hosts who do everything to make your stay more comfortable. We would never stay anywhere else in Chania.

We had an amazing time at Serenissima Boutique Hotel.
Our room was beautiful and spacious.
Dimytris and his staff were very welcoming and helpful giving us great tips on local restaurants and sites.
We enjoyed having breakfast in the courtyard every morning where we could choose from a wide range of Cretan delicacies. Would definitely recommend the Sfakian pie and the Pancakes!
Dimytris even helped us arrange our ferry to Santorini.
The hotel is perfectly located in the old Town of Chania with great restaurants whithin walking distance.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chania.
Thanks again for an amazing stay and experience!!

If you’re staying in Chania, there’s no other place. Joahanna will literally walk you to your tour pickup so you don’t get lost, Dimitrios will run out to say hello and give you water and they’ll lug your bags. Vasilis will sit and talk to you for an hour till you figure out where to go. Magda and Gogo will make sure you eat a five star breakfast with unlimited coffee so you can’t eat until dinner!!! The hotel is beautiful, immaculate and the perfect location!! Molton Brown products...need I say more? I love this place! I stayed for two nights. Went to another hotel for a night. Came back for three and they gave me a two level suite!!

Charming boutique hotel in old town Chania. We stayed in a junior suite and it was perfect for 2 people for 4 nights. Super easy to walk to everything! The hotel is near the livelier parts but far enough away that it’s very quiet and peaceful inside the actual hotel and rooms. If you have a rental car you’ll need to park a few mins walk out as cars are not allowed in the area the hotel is in. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was not open during our stay but breakfast each morning in the courtyard was delicious! Really enjoyed our stay here!

We were spoiled at Serenissima Hotel by two beautiful and spacious rooms that were connected by a large roof top patio. A sumptuous breakfast at a chosen table was a great way to start the day. Great tips on boat rides to Balos from the Old Harbour, and other interesting adventures to world class beaches in the area.

Dimitrios, the concierge, is kind, knowledgeable and cares about the well being of his customers. We fell in love with him!

This boutique hotel has so much charm, from the open ceiling in the breakfast area to the wooden beamed ceilings and stone walls. The breakfast is a must, delicious, the orange juice is so fresh and loved the double cappuccino, perfect way to start your day. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We stayed in the Superior Suite, clean, spacious and cozy. So many shops and restaurants to walk to. Something to keep in mind, there is no parking on the premises but the staff will be more than happy to assist you with parking recommendations and your luggage. Serenissima Boutique Hotel is a must stay in Chania!!!
