Cozy hotel in the old town with a stunning view of the harbor, taverns and restaurant. The hotel has seven apartments. Decorated very nicely. It will appeal to those who do not like cheap ikea style. Extremely clean. Daily cleaned rooms. Air condition working very well. Good greek brand cosmetics in the bathroom. Tea/coffe set FOC. Everywhere nearby. You can leave your car in the free car park 3 minutes walk from the hotel. The view from the windows is truly magic! And above it all - very kind and helpful hotel owners. You can ask George for recomendation of good beaches and restaurants. Great choice in good price! I definitely want to come back!

This is our first time staying at the Helena Hotel in Chania and it won’t be our last. We have had many trips via Chania and booked single nights at different places including Air B&Bs and Helena stands out. The location, just off the waterfront, is perfect and we didn’t experience any noise. We had the top room, triple bed, for a couple. Whilst the climb up 50 stairs with lots of luggage is a workout, it’s worth it. The view from the room is superb, overlooking the whole bay. We were also treated to an awesome full orange moon on our night there. George greeted us and was very helpful carrying some luggage, showing us the room and giving us advice about restaurants. A nice touch was the welcome cold water in the fridge, much appreciated. Whilst they don’t offer breakfast there are a number of nearby restaurants and cafes that do. When we checked out it was torrential rain (a rare occasion!) and we took cover and had full English breakfast in the restaurant (on the far corner near the Hammam) watching the rain. We have our return night already booked at Helena Hotel and are looking forward to it.

The location alone is enough to make this a great place to stay at a reasonable price. But the proprietor and his father, wonderfully warm and helpful, are another. Rooms are very clean. Ours on the second floor with a view of the port was cozy but ample, with a beautiful view of the Venetian Harbor. The only drawback is that part of the beauty of this room, it’s cross breeze, also occasionally brings in the smell of cigarette smoke, perhaps from the cafes and bars on the harbor below. But that is a relatively small drawback as it is only occasional. I would definitely stay here again.

Clean and convenient with friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't have gotten closer to the old town. Rooms a little small but the idea is to spend more time out than in so it shouldn't pose a problem. Quiet location. Only disturbance is the bats at night and the swifts in the morning.

Me and my wife stayed at Helena Hotel during our visit to Chania. It was a great hotel which had a perfect location with everything within walking distance. Clean and tidy hotel with good sized rooms. Bedrooms with the Chania harbour view are amazing and beautiful. Staff who were a father and son team were excellent, extremely helpful, polite, welcoming, pleasant and accommodating who went the extra mile to assist us. I Would definitely stay at Helena Hotel again I would highly recommend Helena Hotel. Thank you for your kindness and assistant.
