Detailed Reviews

This hotel is in the perfect location overlooking the Venetian harbour and my room had one of the best views I have ever had out of a hotel window. But what really makes this hotel so exceptional, is George, who runs the hotel for his family.
When I arrived, I had left my suitcase at a shop several streets away and George actually came back with me to collect my case. He was the perfect host, showed me up to my room and explained how everything worked. He was also brilliant at helping me plan my stay, sorting out bus timetables, opening times, recommendations and locations of all the places I wanted to visit.
George's knowledge and help made a huge difference it really enabled me to get the very best out of my visit. And I also enjoyed practising my Greek with him!

Fantastic! The hotel is less than 30 seconds from the Venetian port of Chania, sneaking down a small street.
Giorgios shows extraordinary hospitality: when he arrived, he wrote to me and located about fifteen restaurants on the map of Chania, but also further west (because I was only visiting his hotel for 2 days on my week-long road trip). In explaining what I was going to visit elsewhere in Crete, he also gave me valuable advice that was invaluable to me. A thousand thanks! 🙏🙌

Simple and welcoming guesthouse located just inside the old town but close to free parking by the sea. Fantastic and very friendly staff full of attention and advice for customers (for dinner and breakfast, trust them😜). Excellent quality/price ratio. Personally for breakfast I recommend 'O Cormoranos' which is located in the street that leads to the car park and is not found on social media

George, the host, was most welcoming, he recommended restaurants and also booked them for us. He helped improve our limited knowledge of Greek and was always up for a chat. I'd highly recommend staying here, room #5 at the top has a great view.

I was skeptical because this hotel was a lot less expensive than other hotels when I booked, but I'm SO happy I did! You cannot get a more perfect location in Chania, right off of the harbor, and for the price, it was an absolute steal! The hotel is quiet and convenient and my room had the most incredible view. Importantly, the air conditioning worked great and the housekeeping was very good. Above all though, George is an absolute gem! He was friendly and provided great recommendations for dinner nearby. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Chania!

Absolutely wonderful. The host was so welcoming, friendly, and informative. The hotel is small and charming. We were In room 7 with an absolutely spectacular view of the harbour and a minute away from dozens of restaurants and bars. The bed was shall we say very firm, but that's a matter of taste. Parking is a bit tough, but such is a tourist spot. Book it and you won't regret it.

We had a wonderful 5 night stay here. The hotel is well situated and we had a lovely view of the harbor. Room was spotlessly clean with thoughtful amenities including coffee, comfortable bed, fridge, safe etc. George was so helpful and gave us some great suggestions as well as answering my curious questions about life on Crete. We felt safe and comfortable here and would highly recommend for a stay in Chania.

Cozy hotel in the old town with a stunning view of the harbor, taverns and restaurant. The hotel has seven apartments. Decorated very nicely. It will appeal to those who do not like cheap ikea style. Extremely clean. Daily cleaned rooms. Air condition working very well. Good greek brand cosmetics in the bathroom. Tea/coffe set FOC. Everywhere nearby. You can leave your car in the free car park 3 minutes walk from the hotel. The view from the windows is truly magic! And above it all - very kind and helpful hotel owners. You can ask George for recomendation of good beaches and restaurants. Great choice in good price! I definitely want to come back!

We stayed one night at Helena Hotel and really loved it! George is such a nice host and very willing to tell us about Chania as well as the restaurants in the area. Very nice room with a great view. George really cares about his guests. We are going to tell everyone about this little hotel in Chania and will be back for sure.

My room has a very good view of the Venetian habour. George and Ilissa are extremely helpful and friendly helping me to know the nearby area, restaurants and attractions. The location of the hotel is perfect for fist timer. It is mid point between the Venetian port and Nea Chora Beach. 10 – 15 minutes walk to other major attractions and the Central bus station.
