We absolutely love this place - the 5 days we stayed here just flew by. Everyone at Metohi was so welcoming. Thank you Danae for your warm greetings everyday and sharing the Cretan culture with us (and for ordering the takeaways!). Thank you Lynda for the cake, for stocking up our fridge with wonderful organic products and home-made jams daily...

Danae is a fabulous ambassador for Cretan and Greek hospitality. She welcomed us with open arms, information and delicious treats. The metohi is gorgeous - for us a far more interesting place to stay than in the old town in Chania. And it was a treat to eat products from the farm each morning. The marmalade and orange cake is...

Excellent location to explore Chania, set amid beautiful gardens and farm land - a real oasis amid the bustle of Chania! Danae is a wonderful host, and huge thanks to Lynda for the daily maid service and fridge refilling. The abundant fruit , cheese, eggs and dairy products along with the bakery goods made for truly memorable breakfast and brunches!...

We had a fabulous week in Danae villa - what a fabulous place with every little detail thought of. Danae herself helped us with a problem we had when a phone was stolen in town and without her it would have been so much harder. Linda's visits daily with fresh bread, yoghurt and the most amazing cakes - which she...

Exquisite Venetian architecture, beautifully and tastefully decorated apartment with quirky antiques. Own pool and courtyard, with outdoor table and sun-loungers. Fridge stocked daily with fabulous organic produce from the farm. Near to Chania and lovely day excursions to beaches or inland. Friendly staff -- housekeeper, Linda makes a fabulous orange cake! This is our second visit. We came for 3...

We spent one week at Metohi Kindelis in May and feel so lucky we discovered this place. It is difficult to summarise all our wonderful experience in a few words, but I guess what we really liked is the natural setting and atmosphere the fact it offered a lot of privacy while being able to share genuine moments with the...

This place, as the other reviewers have said, is exquisite. I can't really add anything original but only reinforce what they've written. Still, the vision of Metohi Kindelis and its owner and family is an important one for Crete as well as for other highly touristed areas. The cultivation of indigenous plants that also provide sources for locally-based income is...

I have mixed emotions about writing glowing Tripadvisor reviews. On one hand those that work incredibly hard to set up and run with passion and attention to detail, brilliant businesses, deserve recognition for it. On the other hand, I don't like giving these places away so they end up fully booked next time we want to stay... Metohi Kindelis is...
