Wonderful accommodating staff. The rooms are updated. They are a little small but with an efficient use of space it works. Lots of choice at breakfast but they do have groups staying and at times the breakfast area was quite busy. Very clean, very nice staff. Half a block from the pedestrian area leading to the harbor.
Great hotel with Lovely staff, very helpful and welcoming, very clean and Great location, 2-3 min walk from the old town and central bus station. Breakfast was excellent also ! And I would highly recommend this place to everyone.
Amazing hotel with very friendly staff. Very close to the old town and shopping. The breakfast is good and the air-conditioning is excellent. Unfortunately the rooms aren't soundproof and you can hear music and honking from the street. There was some construction when we were there and we also heard that very well. Overall a very good hotel. The location makes it even better.
Went on a G Aventure tour and this was our hotel for our first and last night. Recently refurbished and looks stunning , very sleek and modern, and everything you need . Great breakfast selection and very helpful staff
It was a great experience staying at this hotel. The staff have been incredibly helpful and nice, constantly giving information and recommendations, The towels were changed every day, the view of the area was very good, enough storage speace, they clearly renovated recently (still renovating a section of the building, I think). The buffet was very generous, we only had breakfast there but it was extremely varied. And we received a little parting gift from the hotel (something simple, a small olive oil bottle, some soaps and shower gel, all made by a local company with a heavenly smell!!!) - they said they always offer such gifts to groups. And they were so nice, prepared some sandwiches for us because on the last day we missed breakfast becuase of our flight) If/When I go back to Chania, I will DEFINITELY stay at this hotel again!…
I stayed here at the Arkadi having stayed here many times before. It’s recently been refurbished and looks and is really great. Comfortable beds, and good shower, etc. Had a room overlooking the square. However it was very noisy at night with a 24/7 bakery open just across the road. I suggest if you stay here to request a room at the back, where I have stayed in the past, and it’s lovely and quiet and has a great view of the mountains. Breakfast at the hotel is really good. Nice helpful staff. Very central and 5 minutes from the bus station, and it’s a great location for the town centre.
It's the 1st time I am writing a comment for a hotel as it is really worth this time . I was with a group of students and a colleague. It was not only very clean but also safe. The breakfast was delicious. They prepared a gift for us and also a lunch box as we had to leave early on our departure day.
Really nice accommodations right across from the start of the Chania old town pedestrian zone. You are really in the center of things here, and only a few blocks to the harbor and most of the main sites. Very friendly front desk. Great breakfast buffet with just a ton of choices. Nice balcony with a view down the main walk of old town and view of the bay. Comfortable room with elevator. We wanted to stay outside of old town because we had a car and the hotel advertised it had a parking area. The only complaint I had was about the parking "garage". It is really in the basement of the hotel down a crazy steep incline to the street level with an extremely narrow door to pull onto a fairly busy street. First time I tried to get my car slipped backwards, and had to back up and go up fairly fast (with my wife at the top watching for cars/pedestrians). After that experience I parked on the street! Note there is parking on the square in front of the hotel, but you need to purchase a parking permit the night before so you aren't ticketed. Still, recommended.…
I was in the shower washing my hair when some man came in to my room! He open the frontdoor but didnt came in. He keep knokking mu door constatly. I opened the door after finished my shower. He lied something about fire alarm. I didnt heard any alarm sound and he didnt knokked to any other doors. I dont know what was the point of this?? But I felt Really un-safe rest of my stay.
We stopped here after we checked other two hotels. The staff was very friendly! They helped us with a spot for the car to park just in front of the hotel. It was really important for us, since the area is crowded and my father has a walking medical issue. Room is exactly what we needed. Balcony view to the green plaza in front of the hotel, commercial street and even the sea was bonus. Sunrise was a best view for sunny mornings of November in Crete. Breakfast ok, elevator ok and again very friendly staff. I asked the permission to take the breakfast to the room, and they gladly accepted. We planned to stay one or two nights but finally we stayed 3 nights. Near the hotel, door to door, we found a travel agency Şai we could book our ferry easily. Next is a fast food we bought a tasty local cheese pie and a couple of minutes away there is a supermarket for different every day goods. There is also a pharmacy, drugstore, If needed. I would recommend hotel Arcadia for value for money. Not luxury but it is all we needed.…
