Located in heart of the Old Town, Hanim Lounge is the perfect choice for your staying in Chaniá. The couple manage the place (Rena & Socrates) offers a traditional Cretan hospitality & high quality flavors of locally produced products. Keep up the good job guys!

It has been so long since my stay - May 2018 - that Tripadvisor didn't provide me that date to select... but after thinking back on our stay so many times I am adding my review nonetheless. Both the room and location were delightful, however there there are two key things that made Hanim Lounge stand out above all other inns where I've stayed. First, the genuine warmth of the two sisters who operate it, and second, the breakfasts presented by Socrates. These have been described in some detail by the other guests so I will not elaborate further, but wanted to add my praise here and thank these wonderful people for creating such a memorable stay for us in their seaside town of Chania.

A nice surprise was waiting for us at the center of Chania. Miss Rena and her team made the extra mile to offer a pleasant room and service. Their hospitality is worth mentioning.Nicely decorated room with attention to detail and with an eco friendly mind set.

All the previous reviews are true! We stayed a total of 8 days in the first floor apartment, the Laurus. The bedroom was large with nice architectural features, bathroom small but doable. The breakfast was very good, accompanied by quality music...classical, jazz, bossa nova, etc....something different every day. Sokrates and Rena told us where and what to see and provided more information than we thought we needed to know. My husband and I found them to be an interesting couple. If what you want is a 5 star hotel, this is not that. It’s much more actually because most hotel operations would not be able to compete with the level of hospitality and fellowship offered at Hanim. Warning: be extra careful when traveling on the metro in Athens. My husbands wallet was stolen which we later learned through newspaper articles that theft is very common in tourist areas. Thank you all for a wonderful stay. Megan and Carl

Based centrally in the Old Town part of Chania, we stayed overnight before travelling back to the UK. Although close to the harbour, it is only a short walk to the bus station, (for the half-hourly bus to the airport). We had stayed here the previous year - and really wanted to stay again. The sisters who run this hotel are really welcoming, providing advice and tips as appropriate; they but also have an eye for detail and an ability to provide a calm and comfortable environment. Last year, we needed to take a taxi for an early flight to the airport. This year, a later flight allowed us to experience the 'Hanim breakfast' - a superb 'fine dining' experience where a series of wonderful flavours are served up from locally sourced food. For anyone staying at Hanim, the breakfast is not to be missed! A hotel that for us is excellent value - we will come back.
