hotel was very clean and modern. About a 10-15 minute walk to the main attraction Chania Harbor. There are free parking spaces available. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room had a balcony which allowed smoking. Quite at night.

We arrived at the hotel late night (1am) and the greeting of the front of house was very friendly. Our room was perfect, mini bar (which does charge), iron, slippers, robes complimentary. Very clean. For a city hotel it is very quiet. The reason for the 4* is due to the breakfast although it was fresh and nice there was not much variety. I think they should expand on this if possible. Apart from the aforementioned the hotel was perfect as it is very close to Chania city and old town. Very comfy and will reccomend. Thank you.

Beautiful hotel and very kind staff. The rooms were perfect; the beds were comfortable, the bathroom wasn’t too small and there was enough space to fit all your stuff. When you needed anything the staff at the reception was always ready to assist you. I will definitely book Avra again when I visit Chania in the future. The location was very convenient as well since it is close to the harbor and city centre.

I do not normally leave reviews but I feel I have to do so for this one. The customer experience at this hotel exceeded our expectations. We liked everything. From the welcome given by the team at the front desk especially the girl who did the check in and the girl who did the check out, a big thumbs up to both. The choice of good genuine food for breakfast. The underground parking. The decor, the overall sense of wellness it provides and the immaculate cleanliness. The location is superb, the rooms, balconies and bathrooms are spacious, beautifully decorated in marble. This hidden gem is pure excellence, I would definitely recommend and most likely revisit. Myself & my husband have just checked out after a 2 week stay at The Avra, didn’t want to leave! The hotel is superb, clean, modern & in a great location, just a 5 minute walk to the old town. All of the staff are super helpful & friendly, we will most definitely be back!

This hotel was fantastic. So clean and great location close to the town. Underground parking was a great bonus. The breakfasts were lovely and catered for all tastes. The staff were fantastic, particularly Elena. We certainly hope to return one day.

This was our first two nights in Greece, and it was the perfect stay. The location was perfect -- walkable to everywhere in Chania, so our car sat in the underground garage for our stay. The hotel is central, but still in a quieter part of town (next to the Chania Municipal Gardens). The room was very comfortable and clean, and the common areas are beautiful. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. I would recommend this hotel to friends.

We stayed 3 nights and loved every minute. The hotel serves a great breakfast, you can walk anywhere you need to go and the service is top of the line. I would highly recommend. It is next door to a park and if you get lucky you might hear some very good music - we did.

First of all, amazing service! People in the reception are warm, fund, welcoming and very helpful. Rooms very modern, airconditioned and cleaned everyday. Perfect location with only a 10 minute walk to downtown with the old town and the harbour. And only a 20 minute walk to the amazing city beach of Nea Chora (two sunheds and one umbrealla only 6 EUR). Hotel is located just next to a beautiful, recreational park if you need some peace, quiet and shade from the sun. And don't miss the beautiful cafe in the middle of the park - full of history and great coffee. My warmest recommendations of Avra City Hotel!

Lovely people in reception! Welcoming, accomodating, friendly, so helpful. Good breakfast, lovely room with balcony, Great location, it's so central to the old town shops, the esplanade, even the bus station to go to Chania airport or to our next destination in Rethymnon.
