Lovely and clean hotel that's a short walk from the old town. Staff very friendly and always happy to help. Food was excellent and a very good variety for breakfast. Nice pool with a decent amount of sunbeds. Bar was good with a very good array of drinks.

We were very impressed with Kriti Hotel, it was modern, spotlessly clean, sheets and towels changed regularly and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and the portions were generous, lots of choice, including English breakfast, fresh fruit and good quality tea, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Could have done with a few more hangers in the wardrobe which I’m sure would have been provided if I’d asked. A very easy walk to the Venetian Harbour and to the shops. We will definitely stay here again.

We spent 5 nights at Kriti Hotel and would couldn’t have been more pleased. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful from check-in to departure - all of them. We asked for a room with a balcony - none were available until our second night but they were very accommodating in relocating us and our luggage that next day. We had our best meals as a result of the recommendations of the staff, as well as our favorite beach (something you can’t get from AirBnb’s or guidebooks). Breakfast was a buffet that they served each guest due to Covid regulations - was tasty and varies and again, wonderful staff. Pool was so nice to come back to after a day of driving to a remote beach or two. Location was right outside the city wall - a 5 minute walk to the Harbor. Free parking for our car was fab. Loved it, would come back next time in Chania in a heartbeat. Special thanks to Giorgos for his kindness!

Stayed here for 7 days. Great value. Friendly efficient staff. Spotlessly clean. 5 minutes stroll from the Old Town and Venetian harbour, 15 minutes (max) to the main bus station. Super continental breakfast elevated by daily freshly squeezed orange juice and proper bean-to-cup coffee machine. Wonderful base for our holiday in Chania Town.

Uncomfortable writing a review, but it is any guest’s duty after a stay good/bad. Mainly writing because the cleaning staff deserve a shout out as they were extremely attentive, respectful and kind. Really appreciated the cleaning lady we met every day. Would not recommend the laundry service, as our clothes came back >2 sizes too small. Wi-fi not efficient, could not Facetime or stream on Netflix/Youtube in our room, definitely not good enough to work from the hotel. The breakfast was basic with slow service. Would rather buy breakfast each morning in a bakery. Left this experience feeling anxious, worried and mistreated, unfortunately.

Response from Eftihis Vourdoubakis, Γενικός Διευθυντής at Kriti Hotel
Responded Sep 27, 2021
First of all, thank you for taking the time to write a review for our hotel. However, we are afraid that your criticism is not at all honest, nor is it intended to inform future hotel guests about our services, but it includes deceit as well as revenge, for the simple reason that we did not give in to your blackmail. We will explain immediately what we mean. In the first days of your stay, you gave us clothes for cleaning. We, as we always do, in collaboration with an external partner, sent your clothes to the laundry, they were washed at a low temperature, specifically at 20 ° C and we returned them to you, through the reception. Since then, you have launched an attack on the hotel and our executives, with an unacceptable behavior, cursing the supervisor of a hotel department, accusing us that we destroyed your clothes, that they were shrunk during washing, claiming that they are expensive and asking us for a compensation of 400 € ! We evaluated the matter, we judged that you are lying to us and that you just intend, through the compensation you asked us, to take a vacation at our hotel for free! The clothes we are talking about were cheap, not expensive as you told us, they were already worn out and did not seem to have changed in size or shape at all after washing. Although we immediately realized your fraudulent intentions, we decided to make a compromise and offered you a compensation of 150 €. We had no obligation at all to pay you this amount, that you happily accepted together with the “destroyed” clothes. Immediately after, you started blackmailing our hotel, apparently because we did not give you € 400 as you requested, posting reviews on the most popular customer review websites, with unacceptable characterizations of our Hotel Management, which you never contacted, as well as disparaging the services we offer completely. Eventually, you came up with this review full of criticism, obviously fearing the possible consequences of this completely unacceptable behavior of yours. It is very clear that your review does not have a sincere purpose to inform future guests of our hotel about the true quality of our services, but only to harm the hotel and its staff. In conclusion, staying in a hotel causing problems, personally attacking the staff and posting false accusation for your own benefit is not a moral behavior.
