Casa Delfino is a boutique hotel, housed in a 17th century Venetian mansion which used to be the private home of the family Delfino. Remaining in the same family for six generations now, hospitality and authentic charm are an important part of our heritage. Paying homage to the history of the building, all the areas have been sensitively restored to its original splendor. The appearance of this historic structure transports guests to a rare place of refined elegance, where impeccable service, distinctive style and uncommon luxuries rule the day. With just 24 guestrooms and suites, decorated with a mix of modern and classical décor and furnishings; each room has its own individual character and style. All rooms seamlessly weave architectural heritage with contemporary design. From tailor-made itineraries to unexpected treats at turndown, we love to spoil our guests. Casa Delfino’s pebbled courtyard is a romantic oasis where guests can read, relax, or simply soak up the serene ambience. But step outside this enchanted setting and you can stroll to all the main attractions, museums, restaurants, chic shops, and lively bars. The hotel is located in the heart of the walled Old Venetian Town – yet a world apart. Simplicity, tranquility and time. These elements are so often missing in our frenetic modern lives. Wouldn’t a little luxurious down-time at the Spa be sheer perfection? Pampering and sheer indulgence…every moment of it catered to your every need. And when the sun goes down enjoy a drink at the spectacular roof terrace. With its sensational views over the harbor and the sea, there’s no better place to be at sunset.

Nestled in Old Town Chania, Casa Delfino Hotel & Spa stands out for its prime location near the Venetian Harbor, earning high marks from many guests. The hotel's exceptional service, with staff ready to provide tailored recommendations and arrange transportation, is often celebrated.
While the luxurious rooms and comprehensive amenities, including a rooftop and courtyard, garner appreciation, some visitors note discrepancies in value and occasional issues with housekeeping. Fantastic boutique hotel in Old Venetian Harbor in Chania - best location by far
Service was impeccable, the room was luxurious and the daily breakfast was outstanding. The rooftop bar and lounge views are not to be missed at sunrise or at night.

We booked this last minute for our final night in Crete after a bad experience with our Airbnb villa and it really ended our trip on a good note. The hotel is in a lovely old mansion right in the middle of the old town and near the old port but on a quiet side street so despite the many nearby restaurants, shops and bars you get a good night's sleep. We felt pampered even in the standard room we booked which was very clean, nicely decorated and had a very comfortable bed, good towels and a great shower and had separate bedroom and living room levels. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and service generally was great. They have a fairly extensive breakfast menu which you can have in your room though nicer to take in the lovely mosaic courtyard.
If you have a car you can park it for free around nearby Talos Square (about 250m away) but they will help you with your luggage if you need it. If you are coming to Chania this is a great place to stay in the old town.

We had a wonderful 5-night stay at this hotel.
Pros: Beautiful room (1 bedroom sea view suite, Room 16), on 3rd floor; amazing advice from staff on almost anything. Hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate you. They serve a nice breakfast buffet in their shaded courtyard; masks and wearing plastic gloves (provided) are needed for you to serve yourself from the buffet. No hot choices at the buffet, but they have a large selection of items. and we loved having cappuccinos every morning. They provided nice beach towels free of charge for our many beach adventures.
Cons: From our Room 16, we had very slow to almost no wi-fi connection. If you rent a car, there is a very little public parking nearby. This is not the fault of the hotel; we were told that the creation of bicycle lanes has taken away many parking spaces. We ended up parking in the municipal parking garage on our last night. A big thank you to Stefanos who took the golf cart to bring us and our luggage to the garage after we had checked out! Again, great service. It is certainly not the hotel's fault for the parking situation, but something to keep in mind if staying in the Old Town with a rental car (which I still highly recommend despite our parking adventures).

I can’t imagine what could be done to improve on this hotel. It is absolutely perfect in every way. This is easily one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, ever. There is absolutely nothing negative that I can say about Casa Delfino. If you choose not to stay here you are purposefully choosing an inferior hotel and there is no excuse for you.
From the moment we walked in the door we were completely attended to by the absolutely perfect staff and owner, Margarita. They hold themselves to the highest standard and even the smallest deficiency isn’t tolerated. Their standards and expectations were much higher than even ours. There is no convenience or courtesy that is too small for them to overlook. We booked a suite but they upgraded us to the honeymoon suite which we were walking towards before they realized it wasn’t prepared yet. Instead of waiting a few minutes they immediately upgraded us again to the ottoman suite!!! This room has a small personal Hamam steam room (extra E25 per use but totally worth it and completely relaxing)!
The entire building is elegant, perfectly appointed and luxurious. The breakfast is lavish with so many choices and a full complimentary espresso menu. The location is perfect, right near the harbor and surrounded by all the shops, cafes and restaurants you could need. Their advice on restaurants is spot in and you face to take it - they only point you towards the best places that the locals eat at. In two of the three places we tried, we were the only non-Greeks there.
If you only do one thing today, book this hotel right now and then add an extra night; it will be the best thing you do today.

I don’t know where to begin with how fabulous this place is, so I’ll just begin at the beginning. I booked online, and that began an email conversation about restaurants and activities in and around Chania that was always friendly, prompt, and helpful. They arranged a taxi to pick us up at the airport, and then sent a little golf cart to get us to the front door as they are in the old city, which is pedestrian only. The hotel itself, a former villa (the owner is fourth generation of the original family) is quietly elegant, with a mosaic courtyard (created by hand by the owner) for breakfast, sweeping marble staircases, generous rooms, and a rooftop bar with a breathtaking view. Every request we had—dinner recommendations, excursions, coffee in our room, etc—was met with warmth and excellence. We were truly sad to leave as we were made to feel part of the family. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve hugged the staff goodbye as I left, and this was one of them. Stay at Casa Delfino if you are in Chania!

I have only heard great things about this hotel. All reviews have been top notch. I was booked to stay with two families this June but had to cancel due to the pandemic. When I made my reservation 2 months ago the staff was very responsive and helpful with my reservations. I did have a non-refundable deposit with my reservation as I needed 4 rooms/suites. I was very impressed with the way they handled my cancellation. They offered a full refund even though they were under no obligation to do so. This is the type of establishment I like to do business with. I can assure you that when I am able to reschedule my vacation I will certainly be staying at this property.

We were greeted by Lefteris who took us by buggy with our luggage to the entrance of this quaint mansion hotel. It was like being back in time as we glanced around the surrounding areas by the hotel, beautifully well kept and authentically Greek. Chrissy had kindly been liaising within us with our initial booking and answered any queries via email. Was great to meet her at the front desk during our stay, very bubbly and so helpful with directions and anything we needed. Our 2 bed suite was massive with a split level design. Traditional decor and ornate furnishings, and yet with all the modern facilities. It was like a luxurious home from home feeling during our stay. Was very handy having 2 bathrooms and a spacious seating area. Breakfast was delicious each morning with home style delicacies, and with a scenic atmosphere as we were able to sit in their outdoor courtyard area. The roof top bar had amazing views and we enjoyed the sunsets overlooking the harbour. All staff were attentive and service was impeccable. This is a great hotel within the SLH group. Thank you to Casa Delfino for their warm hospitality!

Fantastic hotel. Center of old town. Comfortable stylish air conditioned rooms. Staff super friendly. Tasty bfast. I would definitely stay here again and will! The room was two floors so required steps to get to bed which could be difficult to accomplish at night but otherwise shower and everything else spot on

"Where to stay in Chania? - well, start in the old town and make your way through the ancient maze of streets to the Casa Delfino Hotel & Spa. This is a sanctuary in the midst of amazing restaurants , colorful shops, and history at every turn... including the hotel itself.
The rooms, which I have stayed there twice and on the second stay I stayed for two weeks - last minute thought - and they accommodated me with switching to a few different rooms ( they helped of course and it was a breeze) and I can say each one is unique, charming, and beautiful.
I came back here the second time, not only for the rooms, but I cannot say enough about the breakfast! The courtyard breakfast under a massive canopy of a tree will make you wish you could cram in just one more bite because you can't get this delicious food at home!!! Homemade all the way! You will be full until dinner!
At the end of the day you can go up to the top and have drinks and nibbles with a spectacular view of the old harbor.
You won't be disappointed.

This quaint, family run boutique hotel in Old Chania is set within the beautiful landscapes of the Venetian harbour. The setting is wonderful, right in the midst of the narrow streets, full of shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is a mix of rooms and suites and features an amazing spa. The rooms are beautiful, super clean and maintained daily. The staff are very friendly and always chatting and happy to share their enthusiasm for the island. Nothing is too much for them and you can get most things upon request. The spa is amazing and with experienced masseuses. Not all rooms have balconies and there is no pool but it’s not what you’d expect from a hotel in this setting. It welcomes families but I would recommend more for couples. The superb roof terrace offers breathtaking views of the harbour. The beach is around 15 minutes walk and the hotel provide beach towels. The breakfast is plentiful and caters for all tastes including vegetarian and vegan. This is by far one of the best hotels we visited and we are keen to return.

Errr - yep. Normal flushable toilets.
A one bedroom suite upstairs
The Casa Del Fino is in the Old Town of Chania. The closest local beach is around 400m. However I strongly suggest hiring a car and travelling to other beaches such as Balos, Falassarna Beach & Elafonisi Beach. The public car park is a short 2-3 min walk from the Casa Delfino, located just on the outside of the Old Town. We had no problem parking out car there each day.
If you don't want to drive, then you can catch a bus to Loutraki Beach from Chania. Another beautiful beach and only a short 20-25 minute bus ride.
Wifi was quick and dependable. Breakfast is a buffet and eggs can be made to order
