I could not recommend this place anymore. It was by far our favorite place we stayed while traveling Greece and Italy. The room was extremely clean, large, affordable, staff was friendly and helpful with directions/knowledge of activities. The breakfast every morning is delicious with tons of different foods to eat! I also highly recommend getting a massage at their spa while you’re there. Walking distance to the water/main area of the town. Easy to get around to everything by foot. We absolutely loved this place!
I've been dreaming about this small boutique hotel since I was student at the University in Chania. I booked a room for 2 days on September 2020. I arrived very early (6 hours before check-in time) and went to drink a coffee at the hotel. When they found out that I booked a room, they gave me the room for free from early morning. The hotel is amazing, like a fairy tale. The staff is the best. Courteous and efficient, but most of all they will exceed your expectations because they are smart and more friendly than you can imagine. Although it was during the Covid-19 pandemic, they were almost full and they were implementing all safety protocols.
My wife and I stayed at Casa Delfino in 2016 (on a recommendation from a co-worker) and we had a fantastic time then. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with things like restaurant and shopping recommendations. The hotel is beautiful and our room was very comfortable and quiet. We were on a cruise and stopped by the hotel again on December 27, 2022. The hotel was just as we remembered it six years. Marguerite was there to greet us and we remembered her from six years ago. She gave us some coffee and we chatted a bit about the hotel and her 98 year old grandmother, who we met in 2016. The grandmother is still going strong. We hope to come back to Casa Delfino in the near future and we will definitely recommend it to our friends.
I can’t imagine what could be done to improve on this hotel. It is absolutely perfect in every way. This is easily one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, ever. There is absolutely nothing negative that I can say about Casa Delfino. If you choose not to stay here you are purposefully choosing an inferior hotel and there is no excuse for you. From the moment we walked in the door we were completely attended to by the absolutely perfect staff and owner, Margarita. They hold themselves to the highest standard and even the smallest deficiency isn’t tolerated. Their standards and expectations were much higher than even ours. There is no convenience or courtesy that is too small for them to overlook. We booked a suite but they upgraded us to the honeymoon suite which we were walking towards before they realized it wasn’t prepared yet. Instead of waiting a few minutes they immediately upgraded us again to the ottoman suite!!! This room has a small personal Hamam steam room (extra E25 per use but totally worth it and completely relaxing)! The entire building is elegant, perfectly appointed and luxurious. The breakfast is lavish with so many choices and a full complimentary espresso menu. The location is perfect, right near the harbor and surrounded by all the shops, cafes and restaurants you could need. Their advice on restaurants is spot in and you face to take it - they only point you towards the best places that the locals eat at. In two of the three places we tried, we were the only non-Greeks there. If you only do one thing today, book this hotel right now and then add an extra night; it will be the best thing you do today.…
If I could give this boutique hotel 10 stars I would. I think it's one of the best boutique hotels in the world. The building itself is almost a 200 year old home whose central core has been outfitted with modern conveniences like an elevator. There is artwork everywhere. A rooftop deck has views of the harbor as do many rooms. The repurposing of this hotel was an act of love by the owners. The buffet breakfast is wonderful with a complete assortment of egg dishes, meats, cereals, yogurts, and coffees. Beyond what is there, they will make for you anything you want. The rooms are totally comfortable. Richly comfortable beds, luxurious robes, slippers and towels. The decor is very pleasing to the eyes. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. They will try to accomplish anything you need.…
Stayed here while in Chania for three days at the start of November. it's a beautiful hotel, and the bedding is really comfortable which comes in handy after a long day walking around. Also, anyone that has gone to Greece this late in the season will appreciate the AC/heater, whereas many places only have AC. Some nights were cold so the option of turning on heat was a nice. More importantly, the AC/heater was QUIET! The staff they're extremely friendly and responsive, and all spoke English (and other languages). It was definitely a plus. We stayed in a duplex room, where you get a living room type space on the bottom floor and the "king size" bed is on the second level. This worked well for us since my wife always wakes up earlier than me and she had her own space to relax. The buffet breakfast has a lot of offerings, and is typical for Europe. However, the staff offer to cook omelets or any type of eggs you wish. Really, the staff are very accommodating. The rooms do not have coffee makers, so when my wife asked for a cup of tea, they brought her a full tea service tray to our room right away, which she loved. We were pleasantly surprised at the roof top bar with great views at night and a cordial bartender. he gave great recommendations on wine and cocktails, and was fun to chat with. The service there is fantastic, the breakfast is really good, the accommodations are extremely comfortable (the bedding, and it's a king size bed!), and the location is great. Ask the staff for restaurant recommendations... they were spot on! My wife and really enjoyed staying there, and would definitely stay there again.…
This is a lovely luxury hotel in Chania Crete. A good value for the money! The staff is awesome! Thank you for your great service! We truly appreciated the great care you gave us, The room was great and your location is perfect to be at the harbor in minutes!
We booked our travel plans last minute and website actually showed no availability. I emailed them anyway and they were able to get us in but we had to change rooms each day. This arrangement actually was perfect because we were able to checkout the junior suite, presidential suite (with private rooftop patio view of Old Venetian Port), and the two bedroom suite during our stay. The hotel is perfectly located with endless shops and restaurants just steps away. There is also a rooftop bar with view of Old Venetian Port. The hotel has a really nice full breakfast buffet each morning with traditional Greek dishes and made to order eggs on request. They will also make you any type of coffee drink you'd like. We booked a couples massage at the spa which included free Champaign and private use of steam bath and hot tub spa. We were very happy with the entire spa experience. Bottom line is that we loved every minute staying here and highly recommend this hotel. …
We stayed here on our last day in Crete, after checking out of a not so great hotel in Platanias a day early. We are so glad we did. We were greeted in reception with a warm welcome. We were then told we had been upgraded to the penthouse suite (room 17) We checked in early, room ready at 11am. It was perfect. We stayed on the terrace sunbathing on the comfy beds until we went out for lunch. Bed super comfy, ceiling has stars on that you can switch on at night. 2 bathrooms, 1 shower, 1 bath jacuzzi. It made our trip to be honest and we were so grateful, thank you so much. Staff were attentive and friendly. We can’t wait to come back!
Stayed 6 nights in the Ottoman room in September. We booked this room as it was the only one available, the haman turned out to be quite a novelty and we used it every evening although I would have traded it for a balcony. Location was good, close to everything but back from the noise of the harbour. The room itself was huge and very well equipped – fridge, nespresso, safe etc. Breakfast was in an attractive patio, selection of fresh baked goods both savoury and sweet with coffee made to order. Staff provide beach towels in a bag which was a great bonus. Rooftop patio was a lovely spot to relax with a great view of the harbour. Overall a great place to stay although you do pay a premium for it.
