We spent a couple of nights in a first floor apartment. The property is close to everything: 100 m to the beach and the tavernas, 5 minutes walk to a nice bakery, 10 min walk to the Old City. Easy to find parking places on the street, even in August. The property is very clean and Maria is a great host ready to help you at any moment. An address to remember.
This is a family hotel, very close to the beach( 1 minute) and 15 minutes to the old city, nice and clean. We rented a studio, decent size room and facilities, bathroom a little small but overall comfortable. The best part is Maria, our host, who really made us feel welcomed. A lot of good restaurants nearby, rental cars, shops, everything you need.
This small studio and appartment house is at 150 meter from the beach and 1 Km from the town center of Chania. It is situated in Nea Chora. Bus stop in front of the house, taxi stand in front too. All rooms are equiped with kitchenette, bathroom, balcony or terrace with nice terrace furniture and sun umbrella, not the plastic chairs you'll find everywhere else. Hotel service, cleaning and change of towels and bedlinen 3 X a week. If you have a question or a problem, ask Maria and she will provide the answer or a sollution. No breakfast. Self supporting with kitchenette with cooking equipment, water cooker and coffee perculator. Bakery in front of the house. Many local restaurants Fish and or meat on walking distance along the boulevard. Pizza delivery possible. Pitta take away opposite the building. Very clean. Very friendly hosts Maria and Yannis. All the guests return every year. Some for several weeks, some for several months. But 1 or 2 night passages are also possible. Cheap and correct price.…
First of all, a wonderful host, Maria, very nice and helpful, provided us with all the information we needed and made us feel really welcomed. Very good location, out of the old town hassle, 2 minutes from the beach and next to a very good tavern. Bakery, shops, supermarkets, the old town and the main bus station are also within minutes walk. The studio is spacious, nice decorated, well-equipped and very clean. The terrace is beautiful and comfortable, great for morning coffee or for an evening drink (and everything in between) The air conditioning (and fan, if you prefer that) is very efficient and the wi-fi connection is really good. And of course, just like anybody else, I can not finish my review without mentioning the delicious welcome treat, our lovely host's homemade jam :). Thank you for a wonderful stay, hope to be back soon.…
Nice spacy apartment just a couple of minutes walk to a lovey beach. 10-15 minute walk to Chania Town. Maria was such a lovely lady and responded immediately to any requests. It was great to have the outdoor seating area.
Stayed a Saturday and Sunday night. Owners very obliging about letting us into our room early. We had apartment 6 on the first floor; quite spacious, good sized bathroom, excellent size bedroom. A pot of Maria's home made jam (delicious!) in the fridge. Very comfortable; only complaint is morons on motorbikes hitting 6 or 7 thousand revs at 0400 in the morning - and they all seem to have taken the baffles out of their pipes. Still that one can't be laid at the owners' door; just adds weight to the argument that if you're travelling, travel with custom-made earplugs. I would sooo like to empty a can of builder's foam up the exhausts of those bikes.........
Checked in four nights in April. Met by the owner Maria. Lovely woman. Showed us the room which was pretty big. Studio on the ground floor. She had a map for us that showed the location of the nearest mini marts and supermarket which were all very close. In addition there is two bakeries close by and a gyros place right across the street. She even left us some fresh jam. Which was yummy. About a fifteen minute walk to old town and five minutes to Nea Chora beach. Overall we would totally stay here again. Loved it.
1 -- Cozy, decent, super clean and spacious appartment. 2 -- Maria, the owner, was really kind and helpful. 3 -- 10 min walk from the heart of Chania. 4 -- Next to a sandy nice beach for a quick dive in case someone wants to settle near his base and relax. 5 -- Last but not least, the price for a night was considerably customer friendly ;) All in all -- My perfect combination.
Our family of four had a happy stay at Alexandros. Maria gave us a very warm welcome. Our two-room apartment was quite basic but had enough room for us and was reasonable for the cost. We made good use of the kitchen and enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the world go by. The apartments are close to mini markets, a good bakery and a small beach. It is a pleasant 15 minute walk along the water to the old town.
We spent a week in Alexandros' Studios. Maria, the owner , is a lovely host. She let us taste her homemade jam which is amazing. Everything is clean and the apartment is well equipped. It is very very close to a beautiful sandy beach and 10 minutes walk from the old town. We definitely recommend this accommodation .
