Hotel's Favorite
I don't know how this hotel can get less than a 5 star review. The management and staff should give seminars to other hotels on what it means to provide "customer service". My wife and I were impressed with every aspect of this hotel. We stayed at the hotel from 9/10/2002 to 9/16/2022. -FIrst...the staff. So warm, friendly, and seemed to enjoy doing whatever they could to make our stay perfect. They were all so knowledgeable about Chania and recommend the perfect restaurants and beaches. I can't say enough about the entire staff. -Effortless-The hotel took care of all of the arrangements for cabs to and from the airport (approx. 30 euros each way)as well as the arrangements for a rental car. I was concerned about parking but for 10 euros/day the hotel offered valet service. Well worth the money for peace of mind. -Breakfast-amazing and well suited to any type of diet (keto, vegetarian, vegan, etc). Everything was really delicious. -The Bed----Ahhhhh...if my wife and I hadn't spent a considerable amount of $$ for our current bed, the hotel bed is the one I would purchase. We each had an incredible night sleep. -The room was great and extremely comfortable. -Location -couldn't be better. Just a few minutes from the Port. But, it was also nice to walk around the neighborhood where the locals live and shop.(away from the tourists). I hope the management gets to read this. I personally would like to express my thanks for an amazing stay in your country. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

Very helpful staff as well as a good location in Chania. The Fitness Center and Meeting Facilities were good, but the small Elevator was out of service my entire visit (5 nights). I would welcome the opportunity to stay there again if my future travels bring me back!

Nice room, great breakfast and friendly staff. Would stay there again. Most of the stores, restaurants, and sights are all within walking distance of this hotel. It is also in a very safe area of town and convenient to many small coffee shops, bakeries and other places to grab something to eat quickly if you so desire. Could not have asked for a better place to stay.

Really great stay. Staff were definitely the most helpful and at tentative in Greece (as we stayed on the other side of the island after this hotel stay). The breakfast was plentiful, the bar, although we didn't use it looked amazing, pool was slightly cold (probably because it gets quite a bit of shade) but otherwise great. Rooms were clean, in good condition and fairly new. I can't fault it to be honest.. and location is super central to the old town - where all the action happens. Only thing that they could focus on is cleaning their balconies. Everything on the balcony was covered in dust/dirt from the city. The cleaners need to ensure they clean this area too

This is a quiet, well located, well-run hotel in the centre of the city. The staff and service were excellent, the room was comfortable and spacious, the swimming pool was an unexpected delight, and the breakfast was delicious every day! Special thanks to Nectaria who remembered our coffee order every morning! We had a fantastic week at The Samaria and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chania.

Great room, great bar and staff. Food was limited choice but good standard and everything was clean and tidy all the time. Nice but small pool and very convenient for trips into old town and harbour. Breakfast was really nice also.

We liked to stay in the Samaria hotel. The room an staff were nice. The room is nicely decorated and beds were perfect. A pity was that the bathroom is a bit narrow and the shower is in the bath tub. The pool was a bit cold. Breakfast was great. We didn’t like the airco in our room 220, which had a bit a strange bass tone. And as I’m a bit sensitive Iit took some time before I could sleep. The location near the city center was good. Also convenient is that the busstation. Is behind the hotel

We stayed for four nights while in Chania. The hotel is extremely well-located - just two blocks from the harbor, but far enough away to avoid the noise and crush of people. The staff is attentive and helpful. I’m sending a special shoutout to George, the car valet. I only found two negatives: 1. The bed is much too hard for my comfort (but that’s usually the case in European hotels) 2. The air conditioner was very glitchy. It would turn off randomly, or sometimes change the temperature setting. Despite these issues, I would stay here again.
