The Chania Flair Boutique Hotel, part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton, garners praise for its spotless and modern rooms, which are meticulously maintained. Guests have called out the warm and exceptional service provided by the hotel staff, as well as the hotel's tranquil yet modern atmosphere. While some find the pricing on the steeper side, many feel the value is justified by the quality services, including convenient beach access, a high-tech environment, a delightful breakfast, and the rooftop pool and restaurant. However, potential guests should be aware of occasional noise issues in the rooms.

This hotel and its staff live up to the excellent ratings and reviews you’ll find here. Chania Flair is simply outstanding. If you’re coming to Crete and planning to stay in Chania, don’t look anywhere else.

First, the staff is extraordinary – they are warm and friendly, and every interaction was a delight. The moment we arrived, we were welcomed with smiles, champagne, and hors d’oeuvres. This isn’t unusual when arriving at a good hotel, but often it’s the end of their hospitality as you become just another guest. But not at Chania Flair – this was just the beginning and the keen attention to detail and hospitality continued for our entire stay. Such five-star service was surprising for a boutique hotel in an island setting, but it honestly rivaled that of bigger name luxury properties we’ve experienced. While everyone we met was wonderful, Georgia and Marielena were especially delightful. Not only were they friendly and helpful with directions, recommendations, or getting a taxi, they also remembered us and asked about our plans or activities. The day before we left, we asked about departing, and before we could say anything more, Marielena informed us that our airport transfer was already booked for the next morning at 7:30 am and she would have breakfast boxes waiting for us (and both happened as promised). We didn't have to do a thing.

Second, the hotel itself is beautiful. We stayed in a penthouse suite on the 4th floor, which is the highest room floor (with the top floor reserved for the restaurant, pool, and sunbathing areas). The room was stunning – beautifully designed and well maintained, with thoughtful details and quality finishes. It had a sauna, jacuzzi, and double shower as well as a nice, large terrace with chairs for sitting and lounging with a great view of the sea. If you can afford it, go for one of these suites.

Third, the hotel restaurant was delicious. Beyond breakfast delivered to our room, we also had one dinner at the rooftop restaurant (included in our package). We were blown away by the meal – some of the best food we had during our entire week in Greece. Be sure to make time for at least one meal here.

And finally, the location was great for our needs. Our room on the 4th floor had a lovely view of the sea, just over a few buildings just below. The views may not be as nice on lower floors, given proximity of other buildings. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the old town, and if we needed to go farther, the hotel staff helped us with taxis, which were great and inexpensive. The hotel has its own private beach area about a 3-minute walk from the front door, complete with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels, where we spent an afternoon enjoying the sun and sea breeze. In the same area, you’ll find a number of small dining options and a lively, seaside atmosphere. Our package also included hotel transfer, which was smooth and appreciated both coming and going. Definitely a nice perk.

From arrival until we left it was all excellent and friendly service from the staff. We were met at the entrance where our luggage was removed from our car and the car taken away and parked for us. After our complimentary prosecco, we were given a personal tour if the premises and facilities before being taken to our room, where our luggage had already arrived. Your room is serviced 2 times each day! Beach towels are supplied in a very nice recyclable bag to take to the beach with your other essentials. The really great beach is 2 minutes away with reserved comfortable sunbeds and umbrella. Breakfast is the best I have ever had in any hotel anywhere! All freshly made to order from an a-la-carte menu...as much as you want, served at your table from terrific staff.. and plenty of them. The room is really comfortable with high tech electrics including opening and closing curtains by the touch of a button. I forget to mention the bottle of wine that was sent up to the room just after we settled in. Great facilities including rooftop space with sun terrace, indoor hot pool and gym, with spectacular views out to sea. Their are lots of good local restuarants very nearby and you can wlk into Chania centre in 10- 15 minutes along a very pleasant seaside route. When we left, our car was brought round to the door, and our luggage loaded for us. We we given a small bottle of olive oil on departure. All in all, I cannot find anything negative at all about this amazing hotel, and thoroughly and highly recommend it to all. We will certainly be back

Upon our arrival at Heraklion airport, we were greeted by a very friendly and entertaining driver.

Our check-in experience was very welcoming and thorough: everything was ready upon our arrival (room, rental car) and we were welcomed with a tasty lavender drink. The staff even kindly provided us with an upgrade to a suite with a Jacuzzi!

The breakfast is a clear winner at this hotel! The menu is varied and rich. Most importantly, service is à la carte so guests can relax and enjoy their experience, without having to fight over that last piece of pie 🤪

Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They went the extra mile to respond to our requests as quickly as possible. Also, they were eager to provide recommendations on what to do in Chania and where to eat.

The hotel is a cosy boutique hotel with modern interior design and top-notch facilities. It is conveniently located close to the beach. They even have their own guests section at the beach facing the Haagen Dazs shop. Guests can easily reserve their spot at the beach just by calling reception. The hotel is also at a walking distance from the bustling old town and city center.

Overall, a stellar experience! Highly recommended if your travels lead you to Chania!

This is a new hotel, opened about 2 years ago in a great location by Nea Chora beach in Chania. We were greeted by the friendly Georgia on arrival, and while checking in, we were offered drinks and canapés, a lovely touch! She then took us to our very modern 2 bed suite which had its own hallway area and 2 rooms each with en-suite and large balcony, one overlooking the beautiful sea. The master room had a hot-tub and both rooms had spacious seating areas. But the amazing part was large panoramic windows in each which overlooked the sea. Stunning views each day and night! Great idea. Soft drinks and water are replenished free of charge and we were given welcome treats of fresh fruits and wine in our room. We were celebrating my birthday and I had a surprise treat one evening of wine and a very tasty passion fruit cream cake! All the staff were always on hand to assist with anything we needed and made us feel very welcome. Special mention to Georgia, Marilena, Mia, George, Evgenios and Penelope who looked after us in various ways. We had room service breakfast brought to us each day which was an amazing array of choices which we could select the night before for each morning. Great to be able to have this in our spacious seating areas in our rooms and even on our balcony while watching the calmness of the sea. At the beach by the Haagen Das Ice Cream Parlour, we had free access to sun loungers and umbrellas for Flair Deluxe guests. Lots of choices of traditional Tavernas along the promenade, a d a short walk to the Port and Harbour area. Best of both worlds! Thank you to Nikos the Manager who we got to meet, you have a great team and wish you all the best!

Highly recommended. Hotel was very clean and modern, with good facilities and a very decent breakfast. Staff were extremely warm and helpful - especially Georgia. The location was right on a strip of delicious and affordable fish tavernas and just a 10 minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the old town. Hotel arranged for us to rent a car for a couple of days to explore other parts of Crete which was extremely seamless. Only main criticism is that the spa was expensive.

It's our last day at this hotel. For the most part we enjoyed the hotel and our stay. We have noted our positives and not so positives below:
Positives
* The staff are very friendly & helpful. Special shout out to Marilenel at reception who always went above & beyond to make my husband & I feel welcome.
* The hotel is exceptionally clean. Lots of modcons in the room & most things like the lights and Airton are all electronically controlled and easy to use.
* The hotel makes you feel very welcome with a bottle of champagne and fruits when you arrive. I told them it was my husbands b'day & they kindly sent up a lovely cream cake & some champagne. Finally they gave us some extra virgin olive oil as a leaving gift.
* The mini bar in the room is free and topped up with water and fizzy drinks daily.

Not so negative
* Breakfast can be a bit slow and the portion sizes small, you can order more but the wait puts you off. My husband would have preferred a few more options to personalise your breakfast.
* The gym is very tiny and has few basic equipment. You need a pass to access the gym which is usually empty. A toilet on the 5th floor would be useful.
* The jacuzzi is actually a whirlpool and a very poor one at that. It could do with some more bubbles. It was hardly used which is an indication that its not that effective.

All in all we most likely would stay in this hotel again as the location is very close to the beach and about 15mins walk to the Old Town.

Absolutely one of the best hotel experiences in my life! We were on a one week trip in Greece and this was our third hotel during our stay. The hotel was fresh, modern and extremely clean (which is especially important during these times) Rooms were specious, stylish and the bed was really comfortable and provided a good nights sleep. The best thing though was the staff!
All the way from the first hello until the last goodbye, all the members of the staff were beyond amazing! Their genuine friendliness and willingness to make our stay the most comfortable one was outstanding. All out questions were asked promptly and if we had any requests they were handled really well.
The hotel staff made me really happy and valued and I would definetely like to visit the hotel again and I will surely recommend it to all my friends who are visiting Chania area.
Only (minor) thing that I would improve is that the AC controllers could be next to bed, in case you want to adjust the temperature while you are already going to sleep.

5/5 experience!

The attention to detail at the Chania Flair was truly amazing. We received a cooling towel and champagne upon our arrival (after a long few flights lasting 24 hours!), we had a bottle of sparkling and flowers waiting for us in our room (it was a special occasion) and every little thing that we needed was accommodated. The staff was possibly the most courteous and kind group of people we have ever met! Every single member we met was eager to help with any request. The breakfast experience is a pure delight! A vast display of all things lovely about breakfast! My only complaint is that the rooftop pool is very tiny and has a glass ceiling above it, but the beach is only steps away and the staff will reserve your chair each morning. We decided to enjoy our time there instead of at the pool when we wanted to relax in the sun. A bonus is that the hotel has a cute snack and ice cream bar by the beach with service at your seat. The best place to get an afternoon frappe and relax! Truly, this experience was top-of-the-line! I would encourage anyone who wants to feel spoiled on their holiday to book the Chania Flair!

Super, super hotel, walking distance to all sights but beautifully chilled. What a fabulous find: a modern, luxurious hotel set within walking distance to the old town. Every single member of the team was incredibly polite, kind and made sure we had the very best of stays. The location was perfect for us, there were some outstanding places to eat on the doorstep plus we could walk to the old town in under 20 minutes. The hotel itself was next to a lovely beach (there’s beach beds and ice cream available at the hotels designated area) and a small fishing harbour so plenty to see and do. We loved the location. The hotel room was superb, the beds were extremely comfortable, there’s even a pillow menu. We stayed in a family suite with adjoining room for our boys in their 20s. Our older boys loved the hotel, especially the top floor gym and sauna. The breakfast was brilliant, so much on offer. Everyday we had pastries, omelettes, granola and fruit….there’s even bubbles on offer. I have to say the hotel itself is fabulous but it’s the staff that make it, everyone of them made our stay extra special. Thank you so, so much xx

We are normally shy about writing reviews and feel compelled to do so only because we felt our stay and the team at Chania Flair deserve it.
Our preferred type of hotel has evolved over time and we tend to appreciate smaller well appointed and comfortable hotels that give a home away from home feeling, with attention to local products and habits.
Chania Flair is such a hotel and in the very diverse and somewhat disorienting offer of hospitality in and around Chania hit the spot.
The team is outstanding and goes out of its way to welcome you to the property and remove the basic worries you may have when arriving in the Cretan summer: “Where do we park our car?” “We’re definitely too hot to haul luggage”. Valet parking for free, a refreshing cold drink, and all luggage immediately carried to the room were a good start.
One can’t help but notice the tasteful attention to detail of the decoration with nothing appearing superfluous but always well thought through. The rooms are the same.
The only small bit of disappointment comes from the surroundings of the building where - despite the prime location at the beginning of the new port - refurbishing of the neighborhood hasn’t yet taken place, so unless you’re on the highest floors your view might be disturbed by the stark contrast between the neighboring buildings and this gem of a hotel.
Breakfast in the morning is refreshingly a la carte dispensing from buffet anxiety and offering a broad selection of Greek dishes and produce as well as continental options carefully served by the team.
Dinner at the rooftop restaurant offers a great sunset view and as good as any Greek menu options.
I don’t typically indulge in spas or saunas in the hot summer and neither did I test the small jetpool on the rooftop.
But it is the team that makes this place a 5 star experience. Attentive, intuitive, well schooled without appearing reciting. They look like they do it for fun and that is a rare attitude to come across. Highly recommended.
