Travelers' Choice
Minos Beach art hotel has been influenced by the traditional architectural style of fishermen’s villages of Eastern Crete. One storey, whitewashed bungalows and villas with terraces and minimal interiors are almost touching the sea. The unique environs of the hotel with its sumptuous gardens and narrow stone paved streets host the 45 works of Greek and foreign artists. In the eastern part of Crete, only a ten-minute walk from the town centre of Agios Nikolaos and a 45-minute drive from the airport of Heraklion. Exquisite decoration features, minimalist forms and Feng-Shui elements enriched by the Greek aesthetics of cotton and wood, handcrafted details, candles and water syntheses, create unique spaces and corners, making your stay in Minos Beach unforgettable. For a truly VIP experience at Minos Beach, we offer one presidential villa and three executive villas with private swimming pools, as well as exclusive bungalows that are literary “caressing” the sea.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks, in that period of time you can often see cracks in the infrastructure etc but this place stayed rigid. As many people comment on how friendly the staff were not many name them. I would like to say a big thank you to Helena the experience manager, we had a small issue with the WI-FI and she sorted immediately. The lovely host for breakfast Enurises was a delight to see every morning with her welcoming smile. If you are thinking of coming to Crete and want a totally relaxing break this is the hotel for you. We stayed in a bungalow and to be able to hop off your sun bed and straight into the sea was heavenly.

Room Tip: Swim shoes are useful if you stop in a bungalow, it’s quite rocky.

We stayed at Minos Beach Art Hotel for a week. I did an enormous amount of research before booking from Australia. We stayed for a week at both the Acro Suites and Minos Beach. Although you cannot compare the accommodation nor hotels both were perfect. I think one of the most important things to do when booking is really research what you are looking for in your holiday as far as accommodation goes. Minos Beach Art Hotel is spread out over quite an area of land and has different accommodation options. I was so pleased I read through previous reviews as we chose the bungalow option right on the waters edge. This bungalow has been recently refurbished and the styling is excellent. The room, ensuite and WIR with balcony right on the water was just stunning and perfect for us - our own private little piece of paradise. Think boat on water vibes with a full moon thrown in. Just a note that not all the accommodation has been refurbished and just make sure you are booking exactly what you want and I would recommend phoning and speaking with the lovely reception staff to get all the latest information. We dined almost exclusively at Terpis nearer to our accommodation and the food and service was 10/10. It was absolutely amazing, faultless. The staff also really made our holiday. They were all just so caring, authentic and kind. The spa was also gorgeous and the staff were friendly and caring. Maria was great and both my daughter and I enjoyed a really relaxing massage and facial. Maria has great hands and is very professional in her technique so I can highly recommend. Probably the only area I feel the hotel could improve is the gym. We are daily gym people and the equipment really does need an upgrade and the area refreshed. I feel it would be great to have more equipment, new weights, mats and a bigger area to house the number of users in the high season. All in all we had a fantastic time and will definitely be back. Thank you.

Fabulous hotel and a fabulous holiday. Lovely bungalow style so unlike most hotels and lots of spacious grounds & gardens. Every member of staff we encountered was super friendly. Breakfast amazing. Though our bungalow was not huge, we loved the modern style & bed was extremely comfy. Lovely vibe throughout.

We love the Minos Beach Art Hotel, the accommodation, setting, staff, food is all excellent. The hotel when full is never busy and it does has a lovely relaxed feel to the resort. We are on our third trip this year and will be back soon. We love to dine in the evening at the Terpsis restaurant which overlooks the sea, the food is exquisite and Sotiris and his team will look after you amazingly!!

Highly recommend this hotel. Fantastic friendly & helpful staff. Immaculately clean & well equiped rooms. Delicious food & plenty of options to please all. Bring your snorkels. The sea is clear and there is a good variety of fish just off the shore. The spa ladies are very friendly & give excellent massages. Looking forward to the next visit!

We had the most wonderful time at Minos Beach Art Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Our room was lovely and spacious and the resort itself is well spread out with little sunbathing areas tucked away - it never felt busy and we always found somewhere to relax, either by the sea or the pool. The pool is large and a good temperature, sometimes we had the whole thing to ourselves! We also enjoyed the little coves by the crystal clear sea. The restaurants were excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and the buffet dinner, surprisingly good. Travelling with a five year old, it was easier for us to eat there as there was more choice. But we also ate in the other restaurants and really enjoyed the food. We went wine tasting one day (which was fabulous) and had dinner in Ag Nik one evening. It’s a 20 minute walk away, but compared to the space and calm of the hotel, the town felt crowded and too busy. We ended up staying within the hotel grounds the rest of the time which is quite unusual for us, but we loved the place so much and there was little incentive to leave! Such a great hotel for a week of relaxation and we really hope to return one day. Highly recommended.

This is our second visit with our daughter and son-in-law (plus 2 and half month infant). The last time was before covid. Management smartly took advantage of Covid to renovate much of the resort which didn't really need it in my view but the work really did push the place up a notch. We again had superior waterfront bungalows and they are amazing. The bungalows are perfect for a water focused holiday, and the ability to take a few steps from your veranda and dive into crystal clear and refreshing water is most satisfying. The staff one and all were absolutely fantastic and did their best to cater to every need, including an extra umbrella so that the infant had adequate shade all the time. The buffet team were superb, again catering to various needs (one vegan and one kosher) and going above and beyond to assist. The whole resort is interesting and worth strolling about. The food in all venues we tried is very good and fair priced for such a resort. The only very minor niggle is that the internet is not strong enough as soon as you move away from the main areas, or your room, but otherwise this place is one of the very very best. We will be back for sure. The management have really done a great job in creating a consistent culture of unobtrusive quality customer service which is evident by the number of returning guests.

Aegeo Spa - Maria takes your body and mind to another, better place. You leave refreshed, ready to face the world again. I’ll be returning, because the Beauty of Minos Beach is you arrive as a guest, but you leave as part of the family. Nothing is too difficult to make your stay an amazing experience 😊
