I love Agios Nikolaos and St Nicolas Bay Hotel is an easy 25 minute to walk into town. Agios Nikolaos is a lovely town, with lots of restaurants and nice shops. Sadly, the archeological museum is closed for refurbishment. The hotel manages to feel very safe from Covid19 (staff checked temperatures every day and wearing masks) and yet the guests feel relaxed and comfortable. The staff are amazing and couldn’t be more helpful. I had a seaview room with a large balcony and plenty of room. It was very clean and housekeepers cleaned every day. The views to the islands and mountains across the bay are are incredible. There are self-catering villas with private pools as well as the infinity pool and the private beach below. There are several bars and restaurants and a choice of half board, full board, or a la carte. The breakfast was fantastic. All meals were outside, which was lovely and again made you feel very safe from the virus. I loved the hotel and would love to stay at St Nicolas Bay again.…
Most amazing location and superb service from all at the hotel, in extremely challenging circumstances given Covid 19. Everybody at the hotel from the management, restaurant and housekeeping teams were very friendly and provided superb personalised service . You feel special when you stay here. The staff truly go above and beyond to ensure a happy holiday. I stayed in Villa 8 , which has a private terrace, private pool and private access to the sea which was stunning and so peaceful. Relaxing and beautiful location to be. Family visited on 2 occasions and were treated with superb food and service too including amazing accommodation in Villa 4. Cocktails with Michael in the evening were a treat and Vasilis provided the best room service ever. Well done to all the hotel and thank for a wonderful holiday. x…
A lovely 3 bedroom villa on the resort (Villa 1). Fantastic views across St Nicolas bay. Great pool, cleaned regularly. Room facilities very good. The staff were exceptional, and very Covid aware. They all wore masks all day, which cant have been much fun in 30 Degrees. Probably the most friendly hotel staff I have met, and a special mention to Michalis in the Astra bar, and Kostas, Irini and Eleni in the restaurant. There were many others who's name we didn't catch. Highly recommend this hotel
Our second visit to this superb hotel in a spectacular location. Secluded enough to be quiet and relaxing but also close enough to the picturesque town of Agios St Nikolas. The accommodation is well aspected and the hotel was very well prepared for the challenges of Covid-19 with a discreet and professional regime allowing us to relax, feel safe and comfortable. Service levels are of a high standard, the staff are delightful and the management from Nicos and Alexandros is not only first class but super personal. Catering from all the on-site restaurants was excellent with a wide choice of culinary delights and authentic Greek dishes to choose from. A special thank you to Micheal who not only manages the perfect terrace bar for sundown but helps us put the world to right over the perfect beverage. Would we return again? Absolutely. Thank you all and keep up the good work!…
We have just returned from our third stay at St.Nicolas Bay and despite the challenges caused by Covid 19 we had a fantastic holiday. You can apply every superlative in the dictionary to describe the resort, food, service, accommodation, facilities and setting and they would all be accurate. But words alone cannot do justice to the experiences at St.Nicolas Bay. What really makes it all are the people. As well as being very efficient and professional the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, safe and cared for in these difficult circumstances. Everyone was genuine and friendly and appreciated the chance we had taken in going ahead with our holiday and in doing so was supporting livelihoods and the resort. Where do you start? Mr Glynos, the general manager has put together an incredible team in a short time. He makes a point of speaking with and listening to guests. Nikos, the front of house manager, could not do enough for us throughout our stay, he never seems to stop. Constantinos, the new restaurant manager, was on the go morning, noon and night but always made time for a friendly chat to ask how our day had been, if we were enjoying our dinner, offer suggestions on Cretan wine and what we had planned. The staff in the various restaurants are all excellent but special mentions go to the two Irini's, Linda, Nektaria, Dora, Anna and Marinos, they made our breakfasts, lunches and dinners a pleasure and joy. The food in each of the four restaurants for lunch or dinner was, to put it simply, superb and faultless every time. The menus and wine lists have been shortened this year understandably and the one thing we did miss were the sushi and sashimi dishes. Last but definitely not least Michalis in the Astra Bar is a star, the perfect host for a pre-dinner cocktail or night cap and Yiannis in the Bonasta bar, the ideal place and time to enjoy the beautiful setting and to end the night. This year turned out to be one of our best holidays despite the pandemic that has affected everyone. We are so glad we did go ahead with it and must thank Zina in the reservations office for helping make it happen after the ever changing restrictions and false dawns we've all had since March. There are few better places on earth to spend time, meet lovely people, spoil yourself and be pampered than at St.Nicolas Bay Resort.…
