#34 of 99 hotels in Agios Nikolaos
We are a boutique hotel in the heart of the town but only a few steps away from a sandy beach. Near the Marina, the hotel’s contemporary design is nautical with a Cretan touch that blends the old and the new together perfectly and feels both refreshing and relaxing. Overlooking Mirabello Bay we offer our guests comfortable accommodation and a perfect base for a holiday exploring Crete.

We had arrived as a group of 12 persons for one night stay .The receptionist was polite but he did not have any experience about anything .No check about our temperature even the regulation of convid 19 should had done it .No check how is stay were (we did not arrived togetger ) so I had to start knocking doors to find my room mate. The reception closed aprox.20.00 and when one of us clocked him slf out of his room he jumped from our room intio his balcome to enter his room .The most annoying was he promised us to get breakfast at 07.30 but the reception opened fist that time and she did not have any information about it ,So no breakfast for us .She said the breakfast at our hotel starts first at 08.30 (?) and if you cannot wait you have to pay full price. After long discussion with her we have got a discount of 8 euro per Double room so we had to take a breakfast at a local caffee.I tarvel a lot but I did not find at any other place before such a bad service and hotel management .Better to apy higher price that to end up at this hotel!

Response from Naiades Marina Hotel, General Manager at Naiades Marina Hotel

Thank you taking the time to write this review. It is unfortunate that your stay was so disappointing and I apologise sincerely for that. However, some of the blame must be put over to the person who booked the hotel on behalf of your group. I took the telephone reservation and at no point was it said that your group was a bicycle club. Had I known you, I would have arranged your check in quite differently. We have many bicycle teams stay at our hotel and we offer a storeroom exactly opposite for the bicycles. It is a very large, safe space and very convenient. Therefore, your bicycles would not have been all around the reception and furniture having to be moved. If I had known that you required an early breakfast, I would have arranged it. If I had known that you required 2 keys per room as you were not couples, I would have arranged it. Without any information, it is difficult to ensure a perfect service for a large group arriving late at night and leaving early the next morning. It is unfair of you, at this difficult time when businesses are operating with skeleton staff due to lack of tourism, that you did not explain to me before you arrived your exact requirements. I hope that in the future, you will understand that all hotels need prior information when dealing with groups. I thank you again for your visit and review and wish you a safe and healthy winter season.

This small inner town hotel has been recently renovated in a simple, but effective Greek style. The rooms and bathrooms are stylish, but do lack wardrobe space if you are staying for more than a week. A superior room is well worth the upgrade, especially if you book directly with the hotel. Tip: you may find you can afford a Superior room booked direct with the hotel, which costs little more than a normal room on a booking engine! All Staff are very friendly and will make you feel very welcome. In the current crisis, many hygiene rules and regulations are in place to make each guest feel safe, but still trying not to encroach on you personal space. All in all a very enjoyable stay. Would I recommend this place? Yes, definitely!

My husband booked as a Valentines surprise. The hotel was lovely, fresh, clean & in a great spot for exploring Aghia Nikolaos on foot. Can also recommend Portes Taverna in the same street...delicious food.
