A really lovely hotel with superb views of the Cretan Sea. It was very clean and the owner and her daughter are just wonderful and ever so friendly! It’s really good value for money. We’d most certainly recommend it.
Now I arrived here at the hotel on the 30th of July and have to go home tomorrow the 6th of July. I am really happy to stay in this hotel and nice room with a really big balcony. The staff at the hotel are always sweet and nice and help you if you ask them something and they explain which way to go. I will come back to them again here, will miss them when I fly home tomorrow. They should have 10 stars from me. Thank you very much for a good stay with you here at Hotel Creta.
We had a triple and a single room. Both were very clean and spacious with good size kitchen and decent size bathrooms. Beds were comfortable and the aircon worked well. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location was fantastic being minutes from restaurants and shops as well as a small beach. There is a free car park near the end of Sarolidi street, heading towards the water down a short but steep road. We had a partial view of the sea from our balcony. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
We stayed for a week in July and loved it. We paid extra for a room with a balcony facing the sea and the view was worth every penny. We recommend booking the room 303 for a large balcony and a stunning view. The hotel was very clean and quiet, and the lovely staff couldn’t have been any friendlier. No complaints whatsoever, we will definitely be returning here when we come back to Agios Nikolaos.
We booked this hotel (seafront view) on Booking.com. Upon arrival, the room was not at all what we expected. It was much older and grimier than in the photos. To make matters worse, the room we initially booked was not at all what we received. We booked a direct seafront facing room (the photos on booking.com showed that the doors of the room would open to a direct sea view). Instead, we had a view of someone else's property - a half naked man was standing in his kitchen). I was very disappointed and expressed this to the receptionist (who was initially extremely friendly and then turned very upset). We calmly and kindly asked to be moved to another room (that looked like the one we booked). She told us this was not available. I went back to the room to check one more time if and make a final decision. During this time, I opened the sheets on the bedding to find a stain of about half an inch on the sheet. This really freaked me out and we decided to leave and find another hotel. Very glad we did. There are some gems just around the corner (cleaner and with a proper seafront facing room). Always double check Booking.com ratings with Tripadviser...we certainly learnt our lesson.…
