We stayed twice at this hotel, both times for 5 days, obviously we recommend it. Great value. The staff were wonderful, kind and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel is not in the touristy part of the city but just around the corner is St Georges Square where the locals gather and enjoy a bite to eat, many good restaurants and bars and great ice cream shop. The real Athens. The walk to the Metro (Victoria) wasn't too far, alternatively the bus stop is very close to the hotel and goes all the way to the center and on to Piraeus. On an especially hot day we took the metro to the Mall. The 5 day metro card is a great value!

Really enjoyed the location of Victory Inn. More in an off the beaten path location. Two blocks to the north there are plenty of bars and cafes and restaurants. Directly in front of the hotel is a great coffee shop. You get what you pay for at this property. Simple and great place to lay your head if you are all about exploring the city. If you are looking for glitz and glamour go to the center of town and miss out on the ethnic cuisine this area has to offer. 10 minute walk from the Victoria train station which also gets you on the green line that takes you directly to Port Piraeus. 25-30 minute casual walk to Acropolis and other downtown scenic and historial areas.
