It's a really inexpensive place to drop your stuff and go exploring. Rooms and bathrooms are small, tiny "wardbrode". No problems with wifi and breakfast was decent (boiled eggs, coffee, toasts, greek yoghurt, fresh tomatoe and cucumber, cereal). I found the front desk staff to be friendly. They ask you to leave your key at the front desk when you...

It is mu second stay here and I can safely say that you can't get a better price for rooms this good as this. The staff is friendly, the place is always clean and tidy. I definetly recommend staying here, either in single room, or in shared dormitory. I tried both and its great!

Central location but not a good place to be at night due to the Omonoias Square. The hotel from the inside is not as expected when you pass by, it's modern and the rooms are clean. The breakfast is ok and price is very good.

I stayed with 2 of my friends in a triple room 4 days. The hotel is clean, it's central, very close to the subway (Omonia), just in 2 minutes you can take the metro. The room was very small, the mirror from the room was deforming the image very bad! If you are just for few days, you can stay...

The hotel‘s location is great, close to sights, with many cafés and shops just next door. Well accessible from the airport, Omonia Metro Station only ca 50 meters. Safe place, small and modest rooms, clean, breakfast with limited selection, but ok, very good wifi, friendly staff. If you ask for a room oriented to the inner block, it will be...

I spent 3 night at the hotel and it was a good choice - on budget and with free wifi and breakfast included. Not much to choose from foodwise at breakfast, but enough. Very firendly staff. Area (Omonoia Sq) is not the best for a solo traveler, especially late at night.

The hotel is in a dodgy area at night, even the taxi drivers will warn you. But during the day it's fine, lots and lots of people around and it's just 20 min walk from the Agora & Acropolis area. The staff was really nice, we arrived really late and left early but they were great. The rooms are clean,...

Staying in Omonia

Neighborhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
