My husband and I stayed here twice recently..upon our arrival to Athens for 3 nights and then again before departure. The rooms are spotless, the staff extremely helpful and efficient and there is free underground secure parking. The breakfast is an extra charge, but worth it.

This is a great hotel and a great price for when we visited. Our 4th floor bedroom was spotlessly clean, had a balcony with table and chairs and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was great, with cereals, yoghurt, honey, eggs and bacon, croissants, pastries

Is it a good/safe area to stay in Athens? I am a solo traveller.
Yes, it is ..... it was very safe for us ( my husband and me). We walked the streets around the hotel in the daytime and night time to catch the metro near buy and had no issues whatsoever. We parked our car in the secure parade and walked to the metro that took us downtown and uptown . The hotel main entrance as well as the garage is locked at night.... you need to buzz . The area is practically full of immigrants and some own businesses. Do protect your wallet and mobile phone. Athens is full of refuges and illegal immigrants that hang around monastiraki and main streets as well as around metro station and pickpockets thrive . Also don’t respond to various people trying to sell you something or give you something for free on the streets. They all want something from you and it’s a technic they use to get you ir their associates your wallet or phone. Nothing has ever happened to us but I read all about it on FB pages I follow. Don’t keep your valuables in your pocket or back pack on your back. Carry it in your front always . Take logical precautions , avoid dark alleys or small streets late at night and you will be fine .

How do you get to the sea from there
We just grabbed an Uber, because it’s too far to walk.
