With the exception of it being "unsafe", what most people write about the neighborhood is basically true. Yes, it's a bit ragged and yes there are newly arrived immigrants milling about. But this is a true Athens neighborhood so dive in and experience all it has to offer. Victoria metro station is just a few blocks up the road and...

Centrotel in Athens is a really nice hotel, amidst some not-so-nice streets. The hotel itself is lovely, the room was great, reception area is nice and the breakfast buffet was fantastic - a great start to the day. The local area however feels quite dirty and run down (a common theme in Athens it would seem), so if you find...

It is a very nice hotel and pretty close to Victoria metro station very convenient to go around the city. Idle location for everything! And the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is modern (built in 2006?), clean and comfortable, conveniently located between two major metro stations, Larissa Station - Red Line 2 (500 meters) and Victoria Station - Green Line 1 (300 meters). The hotel situated in a (lower) middle class residential area, so it is relatively quiet (i.e. not on a busy street). While some reviews questioned the...

The hotel is very close to the main station and was very convenient to go around. The hotel rooms were good. The staff were helpful, though some of them had difficulty with english. The breakfast was ok..not great.

Stayed in this hotel because the reviews were good and the price was $60 per night! This is the first time Trip adviser's reviews were not in accordance with what we experienced while staying there. The property itself looks modern. However the location is not safe, (hotel it's in an area were lots of immigrants that come to Athens live)....

Nice modern hotel, clean rooms, friendly staff (but with very little English) The free Wi-Fi worked great. We didn't try the breakfast buffet - plenty of options for breakfast within a few blocks. The neighbourhood is a little rough, but we didn't feel unsafe. It's a short walk to the Victoria Metro station, which has lots of inexpensive restaurants around...

Enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is a very modern and clean in all areas. The room was spacious, a small balcony, free wifi. The breakfast was perfectly OK. Others have commented that it is in a relatively poor neighbourhood area and not too far from the metro. The receptionist booked our taxi to the airport and was very helpful.
