Rooms on website did not reflect all rooms. Ours was approx 4 X 3 metres. Bathroom renovation good, stayed on level 3 but asked to be moved. Extremely disappointed, outlook was onto a walled area about 2 X 2m. I know they don't allocate a room until you arrive but we booked this accommodation February ! So much for being an... More

Dear kafs000, Thank you for your review. The rooms on our website reflect all types of rooms (triple/family, twin-single). We are a 3-star city hotel and therefor we are surrounded bu other buildings so there are some rooms that are next to other buildings. This is something that most city hotels face. However, in such a case, we can always... More

This is not a luxury hotel, but the staff speaks good English and will knock themselves out to help you. They can give you the easiest directions to anywhere, whether it's by foot, bus, or metro. The breakfast was better than some fancier places we stayed that had a big buffet of mediocre food. This was excellent food with a... More

Nice place, close to bus stop and shopping, restaurants, plaka, and THE ACROPOLIS!!!! The included breakfast had great coffee and spanokopita and other cold items. Room was clean with windows opening onto semi quiet street.

This hotel was in a great location, just a few blocks from so many great restaurants and within walking distance to some great attractions, like the Changing of the Guards at Parliament. (Also, the McDonalds nearby has great frappe coffees, if you want something "Greek" but also familiar) The room was very clean and there was plenty of space in... More

The Pan Hotel is small, clean, and in the BEST location in Athens if you're a tourist like me who wants to see all the popular touristy things. It's not fancy, it's just what you need and a great price. The rooms are small but nice; they're clean with nice beds and small TVs; and the LOCATION is just awesome.... More

My friend and I stayed at the Pan Hotel on our recent trip to Athens, Greece. The hotel is in a perfect location. About two blocks from the subway, eating places, right off Syntagma Square. We were one subway stop from the Acropolis and close to the Plaka and more shops and dining areas and the Monasteraki Market area. The... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Pan Hotel! So, what is the element that has made this 3 star city hotel of Athens operating for more than 50 years? The fact that is operated from the 3rd generation, something that effortlessly proves that tourism and hospitality run within the family, together with our friendly staff, are two of the most important aspects of our hotel that have made guests prefer us over and over again when visiting Athens. Our unique location (Syntagma Square), only adds to help you make the choice whether you are a family, a couple or a solo traveler, whether travelling for business or pleasure. The Parliament, National Garden, Panathinaic Stadium, Zappion, Plaka (old city of Athens), Monastiraki, Greek taverns, restaurants of national cuisines, Lycabetus Hill, churches of different religions, The Acropolis and Parthenon, numerous museums such as The Acropolis Museum, Archaeological Museum, The Benaki Museum, etc., central shopping areas, department stores, banks and embassies, etc. are all within walking distances from our hotel. Enjoy a walk or a swim at the beach by taking the Tram where its terminal is only 100m. from our hotel. Easily reached from the airport (El. Venizelos) or Piraeus port, as the Metro and the Airport Express Bus stop within 5 minutes walking distance from our hotel. ... more   less
