I stayed a few nights at hotel Solomou, and enjoyed the experience. Pros: Fair price for a good location (walking distance to Omonia subway station). Friendly staff and owners. Clean and renovated rooms and bathrooms. Nice breakfast buffet. Only con: The Internet worked well in public areas, but not in bedrooms.

My mom and I spent 2 nights there by accident. It was okay but I would have preferred a different place. The pros: the breakfast buffet and the roof-deck! The drawbacks: very small + noisy lift, awful neighborhood, uncomfortable beds!

Was worth the price but it is a very simple, old hotel. There was airconditioner in the room and it was clean. We had buffet breakfast which was good. Kind staff. Nothing more. Nothing less. Good location.

The room was small and Cozy...at first you think your in a Terrible area but we were fine we went out at all hours of the night and morning and didn't feel unsafe. The room was clean it was a perfect stay for the price. Just be sure you book a day before if you arrive earlier than check in...

I stayed two nights at this hotel. In general the room was clean, but the bed was quite uncomfortable. Terrifying lift. Wi-fi connection was quite weak. Keep in mind that you cannot use the wifi in your room. It is available only on the ground floor. Service is okay. The hotel is located 10 mins walk from the Acropolis, but...

We were totally pleased with the Hotel Solomou and will be staying again this year! Larger room, comfy beds, wonderful buffet breakfast, friendly staff, good location and overall great value for the price. 7 minutes walk to Omonia and the metro, and an easy stroll or metro from here to the Acropolis and Plaka area.

ITA: Seppure situato in una zona un po' degradata, non abbiamo mai avuto problemi di sicurezza. Personale gentile e disponibile, camere silenziose con aria condizionata, non molto pulite. Visto i prezzi molto bassi non si può pretendere molto. ENG: Although located in an area a little bit degraded, but we have never had security problems. Friendly and helpful, quiet rooms...

Went as a single and got exactly that. Single bed in clean non-smoking room with full washroom. Could be considered in a "grey" area of Athens but is very central , extremely affordable and an easy walk to many interesting shops and venues. If you are more into dining and seeing the sights versus spending a lot on accommodation, this...

hotel is nicely located, clean and old. area is not safe at night due to beggars and prostitutes so better be cautious. However, hotel is only 150 metres away from metro so walking area is 2-3 minutes maximum.
