Having read some of the other reviews on here - once we had booked I was really worried but I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were fine. Good sized twin room with a bathroom. Breakfast was ok and could do with some simple improvements. We felt it was within easy walking distance of all the sites and was exactly what...

We stayed 2 nights and had a very clean, bright and fresh large room on the 7th floor with balcony. The shower/ toilet was small but fine and the water worked well. I think you get what you pay for here. My brother had a room on the 1st floor which was tiny but ok but it was very cheap....

Positives: Not far from Omonia underground. Staff was helpful when needed. Very good rate. Breakfast commensurate with rate - not the greatest but good and filling. Room was quite clean. It is not far (maybe 150m) from a metro stop so you can go anywhere easily. Negatives: The hotel is a bit old and, at least the 7th floor rooms,...

My overall experience in Odeon hotel was above average. Needless to say that the hotel is located in the heart of Athens and next to the metro station i came across with the friendliest enviroment and cleanest rooms for only 50e per night. Room wifi was free and incredible fast!

Other than some minor issues like one light bulb in my room not working. It's a good hotel. When I arrived in the hotel, the reception knew my name. After a long flights, it's comforting. The breakfast was good. You can really choose what to eat. The Wifi was good.

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighborhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighborhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
