I had a great stay at Pallas Athena Grecotel. A little bit weird & funky but I liked it! Very clean & comfortable, Great breakfast, also we left at 5am in the morning & they organised takeaway breakfast boxes for us, it was a great surprise! Loved the customer service. Negative: A few homeless people sleep near the hotel. 🙁... More

Nice modern room with simple clean decor. Great classic greek restaurant recommendation from friendly front desk. Good walkable location. Ours was a short one night stay before heading to the Cyclades but made a relaxing start to our holiday.

We stayed for 2 nights in a graffiti room. The location of the hotel is good for sightseeing. The breakfast buffet is amazing and excellent to start into the day. We also had a candlelight dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was not just romantic but also very delicious. We would stay again if in Athens.

Booked as part of flight and hotel deal with BA which was great value. Located in the centre, about 20 min walk from the tourist area and main shopping streets, in a bit down at heel area but felt safe. About 30 mins walk or a 5 min cab ride to the more authentic bars and restaurants where locals hang... More

The service at this hotel is great. They were always very nice, very accommodating, and would do anything they could to help. The family room worked great for us with two twins and a king separated by the bathroom with a hall in the room connecting them so the kids felt like they were in our room but we didn't... More

I had very high expectations about this property but unfortunately they were not met as it relates to the standard of the accommodation. As stated by prior reviewers, the rooms are not as nice as depicted in the photographs of the website. My friend and I had booked a premium graffiti room, and the nice feature of the room was... We enjoyed this hotel, which is just 200m south of Omonia Metro station on Athinas, meaning travel from the airport (carrying hand luggage only) was easy. They upgraded us to a Graffiti Family Suite and gave us breakfast free, which immediately gave us a positive view of the experience. However, the hotel looks a little aged in comparison with the... It is clean and safe. Lobby decoration and breakfast service is good. But rooms are a little bit dark, not so well decorated and bathrooms are not recently furnished. Also , cleaning lady started to vacuum the hall at 8 am and when we asked her to be quiet, she replied as "This is my job". Actually we did not... More

We spend a couple of nights at this hotel. It is away from the tourist areas, and very close to the Psyri trendy place, so very good location at a decent price. The service at the hotel is just incredible, whether you are at the reception, at the restaurant, for breakfast or in the evening, in the corridor... The staff... More

From our check in to our check out we really enjoyed our stay. It was my birthday the previous week which reception noticed from my passport and it was such a lovely touch to get cake in our room. The weather was terrible but the staff were so helpful on suggestions of what to do and helping us organise spa... More

Staying in Omonia

Neighborhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
