The hotel is in great location, the staff is nice and helpful. When we just arrived we forgot our backpack in a taxi and they helped beyond expected to find it. We upgraded our room to the junior suite and it was wonderful! The weather was too cold for using the pool but it's great that there's that option. The... More

We only stayed for one night but already had a chance to feel the quality of the service and hospitality of the staff! Very nice bedrooms, bathrooms and perfect roof swimming pool which includes the bar. Despite on this, just a small tip - take your own hairdryer.

My husband and I stayed for one night. We arrived early in the morning and our room was not ready yet. We were invited to check out the rooftop pool. Great area for drinks. Not a lot of lounge chairs but nice view of the Acropolis. Rooms are clean and spacious. Great value.

We stayed at the Melia for two nights while traveling in Athens. Traveling as couples, we were assigned two rooms. The floors and bathrooms in both rooms were dirty. The rooms were small, and king size bed was actually two twins pushed together causing one to fall in the crack when sleeping. One room did not have air conditioning working... More

We stayed for 4 nights in September. From the outside it looks nice compared to the area it is located in. We arrived at around 7pm. Check in took some time as the reception area is very small and generally seems to have only 2 members of staff on. English-speaking staff. Took €100 deposit (refundable) from us. We got to... More

Me and my wife stayed here for 3 nights while on our honeymoon, i must say i was impressed. The staff was helpful and they cleaned our room twice a day! Staying in Exarchia

Neighborhood Profile
Exarchia
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
