The only good things I can tell about the hotel is that staff is very friendly and location is good. Seems like the hotel is past its prime, everything was broken. I tried to open bathroom and knob stayed in my hand, I tried to hang the towel and the hanger felt on the floor, it was hilarious in a... More

Reasonably priced and very good location in the heart of Athens with lots of shops around. Very close to the Acropolis & the Acropolis museum. Took us only 35 minutes by car to reach Rafina port. Definitely recommended if you need something central which is not very expensive.

Air conditioning did not work. Water every where in the bathroom whenever we took a shower. Toilet seat broken and no light in bathroom. They promised to fix everything but nothing had been done by the end of the second day. In the end we had to pay extra to change room. Very limited choice on the breakfast. Bread was... More

I booked at Rio Hotel online and even before I got the visa to Greece the hotel withdrew US$65 from my visa card. The booking page said that if my booking is cancelled or modified up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. I cancelled my booking 4 days before my date of arrival because I... More

Lovely hotel in beautiful architecture of central Athens. Historic exterior design with a modern flair to the lobby. Exceptionally clean lovely balconies to enjoy the sight and sounds of the busy central old center city. A comfortable sidewalk cafe for dinner and good food add to the complete experience. Very kind and helpful staff that will fulfill your every need.... More

I stayed here for 2 nights in Athens. The room was small and there was no air conditioning. The bathroom got water everywhere when you took a shower, but it was clean when we arrived. The location is not the best, we took a metro about 10 minutes to get to the Acropolis. But the staff was so friendly and... More

On our last leg of our Greece vacation, we wanted a short stop in Athens to see the Nations capital and it's historical sites and museums. This Hotel was perfect for us as it was able to accommodate our family of 5. The staff were very friendly, the girl at the reception greeted us with a smile and gave us... More

I had to find a hostel/hotel in less than an hour at 11:30PM, I was in Thessaloniki airport heading to Athens. I was supposed to stay at a friend's place but she had to travel that evening. I knew about this matter an hour before I had to take my flight back to Athens. I looked into trip advisor and... More
