Didn't get off to a good start as my wallet was stolen getting off the metro, so wasn't in the best of moods, but the people on reception gave me some advice and the morning after we missed breakfast as we wanted to go and report the theft, the person on reception pointed us in the right direction for the police station. The rooms are pretty much as you find in Greece, everything you needed, bath was far to small for me but shower did its job, free safe in room as well. So on the second morning we went for breakfast, this is the highlight of this hotel, as you walk into the breakfast area you are greeted by a really friendly lady who cannot do enough for you and she comes across as a very happy person, typical Greek fare and enough to set you up for the day, bonus number two the view is amazing and as you walk further round the Acropolis appears, it was a great way to start the day. There is also a roof top area where you can sit and drink and at night the Acropolis is lit up and looks magical. The first impression of the area isn't that good, but once you get used to it, its fine, it did seem very safe and literally round the corner there are little streets full of nice bars and shops, it was also very quiet at night which made for a good nights sleep, I would stay here again if I am ever in Athens.…
I stayed here and there were many students staying here ( Which is a good sign.) I recall the breakfast bar upstairs has great views and the food was basic but nice. There's also a gym and overall was reasonable for the amenities it offered. One negative point however, is that the area is very run down and during my visit to greece, I found many beggers around this area which was not desiable.
Despite the first impression of Evripidou street (a small but very busy commercial street near the Central Market of Athens) the neighbourhood is very safe and extremely quiet in the afternoon. Close to every major atraction and Omonia and Monastiraki metro stations. Tastefuly furnished rooms, the large windows insure great sound insulation (you do not hear the noise of the street). Small but very clean bathrooms. Beautiful breakfast lounge with exceptional view of the Acropolis. Kind and helpful staf. Avery good choice for your stay in Athens!
It does not look exactly like the pictures, at first the streets around it look a little ugly but as the days went though we found out that it was a false alarm, it is very close, 4 blocks, from all the restaurants, bars, and all the turist area, staff is really friendly, rooms are really clean, not luxury at all, nice view to the acropolis, breakfast could be better, basically american continental breakfast!
The staff are very kind and helpful, the rooms and hotel itself are very clean. It's very conveniently located despite the appearance of the immediate surroundings. It has a rooftop terrace and bar with stunning views of the city. It is excellent value for money and features a small fitness room and sauna (The sauna is extra but a lovely option after the inevitable many kilometres walk you'll be doing around this stunning city) When (Not if) I return this hotel would be my first choice.
