This is a medium level hotel Not in the very center not so luxurious Should cost less to my point of view Good for a 1 night stay Hotels are not very nice in Greece this is why we prefer camping much better

The location was terrible, close to city center but very dangerous place to walk. The surrounding of the hotel was unclear and with a lot of migrants and beggers. The rooms were with specicfic odor and not clean. the breakfast was only eggs, butter, bread and some meat.

We were handed a twin bed room rather than a double (which was booked). The hotel failed to apologise for this, despite it being contested. We finally managed to coerce a double bed room key out of the unhelpful gentleman behind the reception, who thought it an inconvenience on his part. Paper maps were charged at 2 euros and none... Three friends and I booked here, arriving late in the evening on the 27th June, where we were informed that the hotel could not give us the rooms that we had booked as they over-advertise the number of double rooms available on websites. We were therefore given rooms with 2 singles beds instead, which were not pleased about given we... More

This is a budget hotel, If one can afford a few more pounds, then stay somewhere else, The hotel is very old, not in a nice area, quite dangerous to go out, nothing nice in the area. The staff are rude and not at all helpful. I would only recommend this hotel for people leaving there luggage here and sightseeing... More

Three friends and I wanted to spend six days in Athens so we booked the whole time at this hotel, we stayed one night. First, the hotel is not in a good location. It is a half hour walk from the Acropolis sites, and the neighborhood is not what one would think of as a great tourist place. The room... More

Well, this hotel have some old fash charm, but I must tell ya - it's kind of Hotel High School book for Excursions - thats how I find out bout this Hotel. Location is ok. Price : Quality is fair. Rooms are small, can hardly move around, but terraces / balconies view will make you forget.. Time Travel if nothin',... More

We booked this hotel as part of a package deal through a travel agency. Hotel is located in a not so great area and the rooms quite old-fashioned. When we woke up after the first night, we were both covered in 40-50 itching bed bug bites - not exactly a great start on a romantic 3-day getaway. When we complained... More

I've been to Athens three times and always stayed at Hotel Balasca. The hotel is easily accessible (five-minute walk from Larissa metro station) and conveninetly located (lot of shops and Carrefour market in vicinity). But the main reason why we decided always to choose this exact hotel is the very big terrace with an amazing view. This made us want... More

We stayed at Balasca three times whilst we were travelling Greece. The hotel itself is not in such a great place but the actual hotel is great. The staff were friendly and extremly helpful. The rooms were basic but it's what you expect at that sort of price. If you are travelling as a group I would recommend you book... More
