We arrived at 7:00 and the check in was at 12:00. They offered us a room to stay until we had our room ready. The breakfast is served on the roof with amazing views. A very generous 6 euros buffet breakfast . Very clean and in an area full of restaurants, coffees and bars. All the staff very kind and...

We stayed 2 nights at Drydes hotel, the same owner and just next door to Orion hotel. Very clean room with big bathroom and nice soft pillows. The hotel is 30 min of walking distance to Ermou and Sintagma square.. Nice funky area full of bars and cafes., but very noisy at nights. Coworkers buildings just front of the hotel,...

Perfect if you want to stay on a young and savage neighborhood. The streets are plenty of graffiti the people is very friendly and at night you can find lots of young people having fun without disturbing. The location is good if you like to walk to enjoy the city...you will arrive to the old city in about 15-20 min....

The owners of the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Hotel is 10 mins walk away to the center. We stayed at the hotel with our 2 kids which was perfectly fine. We recommend this hotel. Terrace was the best place to see Athens other than Acropolis. Cute coffee shops and very arty scenery around.

This hotel is located against the Strefi hill in the neighbourhood of Enarchia. 10 minutes walk from Omonia Square. Enarchia has many bars and restaurants and a few tourists go there. Forget staying in or close to the Plaka. You're in tourist world. Hotel Orion has a roof terras where you can view almost everything of Athens. The staff is...

The hotel itself was nice especially for the money we paid. The room was fairly decent, clean and airy with a decent bathroom but the location is real creepy, alot of hippie-like people hanging on the very dark streets

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and comfortable, great views of Lycavitos and the Acropolis. Breakfast is on offer, but we did not partake, the beds were nice and comfortable and the hotel is well situated if you dont mind walking.

Staying in Exarchia

Neighborhood Profile
Exarchia
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
